  1. I largely agree with this with the exception that the O-line is way worse then we thought it was. Its not NFL caliber. This calls for a complete reworking of the O-line and offensive game plan to include, IF Brown can't go this week, the following: * Start the other rookie at RT and move Williams to guard. * Activate Bridda at RB. We need the speed. * Put #41 and #89 (assuming Knox can't go) in the backfield to provide max protection.
  2. Look, I get that Brady does that but not on a play in which the DE gets a clean run at the QB. That will almost always end in a sack. It happens to fast for the QB to blindly throw the ball to the "seam" at a WR's feet (talk about a reckless throw that could get intercepted). Brady does not make that throw on that play. He takes the sack.
  3. Allen should and in fact he must throw that ball every time. It wasn't 4th down and Davis has to make that catch. If you want to lose Allen for the year then yea he should have run the ball. That was worse then an NFL WR not making that catch? Please. Do you watch any college football? Under the best circumstances the Bills run a piss poor read option.
  4. You forgot Williams being a turnstile on one of the biggest plays of the game. And an incredible number of costly penalties. I'm not blaming the coaches so much for this game but if Knox & Brown cant go next week it will be on the coaches if they don't shake up the O-line. Put the rookie out at right tackle and move Williams back to guard. It can't be any worse then today. And given the issues on the O-line the Bills need to game plan acknowledging the O-line issues. This will mean a parred down offense and max protection.
  5. We were saved in that game by Allen & Beasley playing exceptionally well in the 2nd half of the 3rd quarter and in the 4th quarter. And that was with Felliciano playing and the O-line only being bad not awful. Today with Allen off and Beasley banged up and the O-line playing way below the accepted NFL level we got exactly what you would expect us to get.
  6. The more I think about this game and the more I recall the conversation in the room as we watched this debacle unfold I'm not sure any offense could move the ball with the O-line playing as bad as it did today. This is the NFL and when an O-line falls apart like it did in this game ANY opponent will shut you down. Our offensive line played so far below the minimum acceptable level in the NFL that it dragged down the rest of the team. They didn't pass block today nor did they run block. On top of that they committed a couple of crucial penalties at the worst points of the game (two PF, a hold and flinching on 4th & 2 all when we were on the Jags side of the field). The fact that the Bills got over 300 yards is amazing and was due to Allen making a couple of special throws that normally a QB doesn't make. Now this isn't to let Allen off the hook for his reckless interceptions, but he and Dabold had to realize that the O-line was beyond awful today and only an off schedule play was going to break this game open in their favor. We were asking what was happening to Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. Well today and for a half last week you got your answer. And with Knox out we don't even have the Chiefs option of a go to TE. Other then getting Brown & Feliciano back I don't know what the Bills can do? Leave #41 and Sweeney in as pass protectors and not play with a tailback?
  7. I don't know. I haven't seen anything from our RB's to make me believe that feeding them the ball 20 times wouldn't result in a lot of 3 and outs. The Bills RB's are small, slow and don't make people miss. Today the backs were one on one in space several times and didn't make the defenders miss.
  8. So you title your thread "looks like the rest of the NFL have our number!!" and then suggest that McD bench Allen? Seriously? Maybe what the league has caught up to is that we have one of the worst O-lines & Rb tandems in the NFL. That they can scheme us a certain way because we don't have the horses to make them pay for how they're defensing us. There was a reason Knox was having a career year - teams were playing us this way early but he was making them pay for it. With Knox out and Beasley playing hurt we are a two WR team with a bad O-line.
  9. Only that most of it was. And you keep harping on a play that anyone who has watched football knows the QB is going to get sacked when the Tackle completely misses the DE. At least own up to what you're posting and not try to slink away from bashing Allen. It's very troll like.
  10. What structure is that? A crumbing offense line that was allowing immediate pressure up the middle AND around the end? If he plays within structure he's probably sacked a few more times and we don't covert a couple of 3rd and long plays. Does this structure include dump off passes to a TE and two RB's that can't break a tackle or make a guy miss or outrun a LB? Because I saw a lot of those types of passes today that resulted in little or know gain. Or are you talking about the structure of running draw plays and sweeps in the hopes of fooling the defense? We ran a couple of those for either no gain or a loss. I just love those 2nd and 12 situations.
  11. Now you're just mincing words and your entire argument has been disingenuous. Of course Allen contributed to the loss with his reckless 2nd half play. But the key moment you keep throwing out as decisive was not on Allen. It was on Williams who made a terrible attempt at blocking a DE on 3rd & 7.
  12. A perfect example of this was early in the game when we could have set the tone and had a 1st and goal from the 4 and a hand off to Moss lost 3 yards.
  13. You did? I call BS. Again on that play the QB is sacked 99/100 times.
  14. Actually we're seeing Mahomes struggle because his O-line isn't playing very well.
  15. Are you being serious here? Do you have any idea if a player was near the sideline waiting for the throwaway? And Allen had what, a second to decide? When a tackle misses his block as badly as Williams did there it probably ends up as a sack 99/100 times.
  16. If you throw the ball away there it's intentional grounding from inside the tackle box.
  17. If Allen just throws the ball away there it's intentional grounding. I have no idea what you're talking about.
  18. And if we had dangerous RB's and TE's this approach would work well. But with Knox out and a pair of RB's that can't outrun LB's or make safeties miss a tackle, the dump off passes are at best good for a couple of yards.
  19. This is so true. The fact is that at the moment everyone gets down on the Bills and start riding NE the story will switch. There are a lot of games left in this season. This was a terrible loss and it may have signaled a fundamental flaw in the Bills offense. On the other hand the return of Knox, Brown and Felliciano could turn things back around. It is on DaBold and the offensive coaching staff to figure out what to do when teams play us the way the Dolphins & Jags just did. I sense that they really didn't figure the Fish out but rather Beasley & Allen simply played exceptionally well to close that game out.
  20. They also went status quo at RB and whiffed on Bridda.
  21. With Felliciano and Brown out we have the worst O-line in the NFL. If we had any other QB then Allen, he Bills would have given up 8 sacks today. The pass and run blocking was atrocious. Sure Allen needed to NOT play hero ball but I also get the frustration. And hero ball may have been the only way we win today given how the O line was playing. And don't get me start6ed on our RB's. My goodness it wasn't until that last drive late in the 4th quarter that a Bill's RB actually made a guy miss. EVERY time Allen dropped the ball off to them in space today they were tackled at FIRST FREAKING CONTACT. I watch a lot of NFL and our RB's almost never make something out of nothing. For example, on the 1st & goal at the Jaguars four yard line, the O line whiffs and Moss compounds the matter by instead of hitting up between the tackles for a yard or two tries to run outside and is nailed for a 3yard loss. Now it's 2nd & goal from the 7! Just awful.
  22. It's hard to elevate the dead.
  23. And so far this season I can't think of a single sack of Allen that was "unnecessary".
  24. Yea but that shirt Diggs is wearing?
  25. Drew Lock from Denver was being reported as testing positive and missing today's game. I heard the report on the Sirius NFL channel at 8:45 am.
