LA Chargers @ KC Chiefs - TNF Game Thread
CincyBillsFan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have never seen a QB throw more INT's that are cancelled by penalty or drops then Mahomes. It really is odd. -
A perfect example of this was the 3rd and 2 play right after the two minute warning. If Mahomes or Allen get to the outside like that it's an automatic first down - either by run or pass. Herbert hesitated on the throw and then fell down.
-
Last night the Cowboys lost Dak Prescott for 6 - 10 weeks because he hit his hand on a helmet while "safely" in the pocket.
-
Chiefs because they are the only team in the NFL with a QB that can match Allen straight up.

Sunday Night Football: Tampa Bay @ Dallas Game Thread
CincyBillsFan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
If a "defenseless" WR was hit in the same way that the Bucs punter just got hit with a helmet to the chest they would throw an unnecessary roughness penalty. NFL rules can be real goofy. -
And you know this how?
-
Not a tough call for me. I would rather have Diggs. At the time we traded for him we needed a WR that would help develop our young super talented QB. Diggs fit the bill perfectly while Jefferson did not.
-
Yes, you let him walk. Or better yet you force him to play out his contract and then use the franchise tag on him. There were real questions about whether Murray was a true franchise QB. But hey, Murray's stats won't look that bad as he piles up the garbage yards against a prevent defense.

Matt Araiza accused of rape, served with a lawsuit.
CincyBillsFan replied to bill8164's topic in Off the Wall
It is odd that so many people, particularly in the media, are declaring Araiza guilty in their reactions to what happened. If he's guilty I hope he rots in jail. But you can't deny the fact that many allegations of rape made in the college environment turn out to be false. And saying this should not bring the wrath of the PC crowd down on someones head. After all the HIGHEST principal here is "innocent until proven guilty". Not the allegation. -
QB Coach Joe Brady; what’s his role with Josh?
CincyBillsFan replied to hemma's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. Have friends in LSU land and they can't say enough good things about Brady. Sure Burrow landed in his lap but the LSU coaching staff asked the Saints to help them design an offense for Burrow and all those great skill players and Brady was the guy that taught LSU how to use their NFL talent. the result was the most lethal passing attack and offense in the history of college football. Brady may turn out to have a huge positive impact on Allen and the Bills offense. This was a superb hire. -
The Bills won that game by 2 TD's. It was a snowy/windy day which clearly impacted the passing game. Allen did rush the ball 15 times for 81 yards and 2 TD's.

I suspect that Roger will quote the judges language heavily focusing on the "egregious" nature of the acts and then cite the NFL's commitment to bringing women into the fold and state that Watson's actions has damaged the leagues reputation and efforts to meet their key business goal of attracting female fans. He'll then raise the suspension to 12 games with a hefty fine. The NFLPA would have to think long and hard about the optics of challenging that kind of ruling.

I disagree. A couple of points: * Comparing Allen's first 4 years to Mahomes first 4 years is not an apple to apple comparison. KC was a perennial playoff team when Mahomes was inserted into the line-up. The Bills were a long term, perennial loser. The collection of talent around Allen on offense in his first 2 years pales in comparison to what Mahomes had. * Allen established beyond a shadow of doubt this season that he is an elite level performing QB in the playoffs. The failure to win a Super Bowl rests solely on the coaching and the late game defense's performance against KC. * The fact that Mahomes, Brady & Rogers have played in more championship games then Allen is due to their being on stronger teams for a longer period of time. Get back to me in 5 years. * I don't care about those folks 2nd guessing Allen. They're either idiots who know little about the game of football or they're trying to get peoples attention.

Damn, I recognize the music in that video! I'm not to old!

I Watched SB 28 In Full Last Night, Thoughts & Analysis
CincyBillsFan replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would add that Levy got to conservative on offense at the end of the 1st half. He should have gone all out to score a TD and go up 17 - 6 rather then settle for a FG. When you lose 3 straight Super Bowls you throw all caution to the wind in the 4th SB. -
Agree, this is about conduct not criminal activity. And Watson's conduct appears to have been detrimental to the NFL's image. I can't imagine a rational argument that counters this. The NFL has made a herculean effort to increase the number of women who are fans. On it's face Watson's conduct is very damaging to that effort. I can't imagine that the judge and Goodell won't see it that way. Anything less then a one season suspension makes a mockery of the NFL's outreach to women.

Warren Sapp: Kaep Workout With Raiders "A Disaster"
CincyBillsFan replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think people want to take Kaps constitutional rights of free speech away from him. What we reject is the idea that practicing those rights is without consequences. -
IMO the NFL should suspend Watson WITH PAY this season. This would protect Watson in the event ALL 23 of these women are lying and are gold diggers. It would also protect the NFL should it turn out that there is fire under all this smoke. Of course this would punish the Browns for their deeply irresponsible act of signing Watson to that ridiculous contract BEFORE the legal issues were resolved.
-
No but according to Hill he throws a "pretty ball" - and that's all that matters! AJ McCarron was "elite" on a couple of those Bama super teams. What Tua did at Alabama no longer matters.
-
The NFL has worked long and hard to convert women into NFL fans. I can't imagine they will risk this to take it easy on Watson. So unless the NFL found evidence that all these women are working together to scam Watson he should be suspended for one year without pay. There are corporations in the US that would fire you for personal conduct much less egregious then this. It doesn't need to be a criminal act for the NFL to bring down the hammer.

Dwayne Haskins killed [Edit: struck by vehicle]
CincyBillsFan replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was Haskins actually driving or was the women driving and was she sober? I ask because if he was driving this wasn't a tragedy but a tragedy avoided. Or am I the only one who thinks that driving down the highway this messed up is attempted vehicular homicide? And that the real story here is that innocents didn't get killed by Haskin's deeply irresponsible act?
