  1. I hear a lot of ppl saying replace Schobel...I too think he needs a replacement, but not now...you cant take your best DE and replace him and think the line will get better...if you replace Schobel now before replaceing Denney and Kelsay on the other side all your left with is a rookie and 2 crap DE's...Schobel still commands respect from oppossing teams...best thing in my opinion is to replace Kelsay with a first round draft pick and keep Denney as a rotational DE...next year get another DE in the top 3 rounds and have him groomed to replace Schobel in the next 3 years...Im not sure how many years Schobel has, but Id say this should be his last contract in Buffalo...of course if Schobel shines with a top pick DE on the other side and Good DT's in the middle maybe he can be kept till he decides to retire.
  2. is he to big for a OLB?...just curiouse as how hed do replaceing Ellison...this way he'd stay on the field...I could see Fewell going to a 3-4 defense with Stroud, r-NT, Schobel...then Mitchel, Poz, r-ILB, Denney...aww who am I kidding
  3. so ur saying schonert is sitting at home calling plays for both Buffalo and the Jets...
  4. although it would be great to have a hometown kid..or atleast a home college kid( I dont know where he was born and raised), I watched his bowl game and he threw a lot of balls to the ground...I dont think Id take him unless we needed just a #3
  5. I'll admit I really liked Drew for the first 1.5 seasons he was here...But after watching him stand there like a tree and take hits and lose games I was angry with him and the team....Flutie to me was the guy that brought some life to our offense..he was fun to watch..even when his plays didnt work out he was still fun to watch...he was the prototype that every sports crtic said could never play NFL football..he was to short, to skinny, to small, no arm, no feet..whatever he had they said he couldnt play in the NFL...well I thought he played fine..he wasnt no Montana, but he was fun to watch and thats what watching sports should be..fun to watch.
  6. yea and I believe Chris Brown recently wrote that he'd like to see Buffalo go after Gonzo in the offseason..I dont think theres any chance that Gonzo comes to Buffalo...I can see him going to Philly tho..they could use an upgrade over Shepard..They usually have a top 10 D and O every season...other than that, the "power houses" are set at TE..well not true..I guess Giants could use him over Boss...so I can see him pushing to go to Giants, Philly, NE, Steelers and maybe Ravens to play along side Heap....
  7. wow..first off...how does he have so many underclassmen on the list..no-ones declred on that list that I can see..secondly, no way Crabtree WR gets past Seattle...no way KC gets a QB when they have one looking good so far....this guy doesnt seem to have a clue to what hes doing.
  8. ok there are 9 ppl atleast that voted here that have no clue about football at all...wich 4 voted Hobert?..I mean really come on..and wich 5 voted R. Johnson?
  9. I would call this on Favre over the jets OC...IMHO, Favre is just like Manning in how he does what he wants more then what his OC says to do...Favre doesnt seem to care wether your open or if you have 3 defenders on you..If he wants to throw it to you hes going to..
  10. actually this is a great year to draft a center...if Bills grabbed any ony one of these 4: Max Unger, Alex Mack, Jonathan Luigs and Eric Wood, we would have a huge upgrade at center...thers 1 or 2 juniors, if they declare, that could be added to this list as well...theres a debate between the first 3 on my list as to who is the best C in this years draft...most have it in the order that I've written them...so what I'm saying is we could actually wait till round 3 to grab Luigs or wood and still be getting a huge upgrade...would we be getting the best center in the draft?, no but thats ok...I guess it all depends on how good you think the de's in round 2 would be to decide wether to go DEfirst or in round 2 or 3....I think Buffalos FO is going to have a hard time deciding which order to get DE,C,TE and OLB in the first 4 rounds
  11. wow...I really thought I was going out on the limb when I picked Flutie...then I saw the results...LOL....I think Edwards can be the best we've had since Kelly, in time ,but the only QB that "has" been best since Kelly is Flutie...Bledsoe comes in second, but he if he could have found some mobility and smarts he could have been the best.
  12. I dont care if its mangini or somebody else...the Bills need to get a guy onto the defensive staff that knows the 3-4 defense inside and out...this new guy could then school our Offense on what to look for and how to beat it...
  13. I believe it has to do more with favre then with mangini...Farve is playing his "everybody pay attention to me" crap...reports say Favre is mad cuz Mangini treats him like a reg QB and chews him out infront of staff and players..on the other hand , the players (Jones in particular) are makeing it seem that Favre gets the "A" list treatment while the rest of them are dogs sleeping outside...anyways...while watching the comments made by owner of Jets, it sounds like they want Favre back more than there HC...theyr so afraid that if they keep Mangini, Favre will walk...what theyre not paying attention to tho is that Favre seems to be being outed by his fellow players and this may lead him to leave the Jets even tho Mangini is gone...I really hope this happens...this will leave the Jets with no real #1 QB and no HC.
  14. Gresham will go in the late first round before we pick at #43...I wouldnt go for Gresham at #11 either...Chase Coffman might be there in the 2nd for us
  15. I'm going to say that right now, until we know which underclassmen will declare for the NFL in 2009, we really cant say who the Bills will pick...Most of the posters on TBD want a DE(including me), but the talent at DE, if Brown, Selvie and Hardy don't declare, might not warrant a DE in round 1...The best DE's for pick #11 would be Brian Orakpo or Micheal Johnson...But I see Orakpo going to KC at pick #3 and Johnson going to the Packers at pick #9 in almost every mock draft...After those 2 there's Conner Barwin, Matt Shaughnessy and Tyson Jackson...All of which are rated for round 2 and 3...If Brown, Selvie or Hardy do not declare, I might say C Alex Mack would be the best pick at #11...I know a lot of ppl want a OLB on TBD, but Buffalo has Alvin Bowen waiting to come in next season and it seems Crowel is rumored to maybe be back in Buffalo next year...So I see a decision of one of these 4 for pick #11 : DE Micheal Johnson, DE Everrit Brown, S William Moore or C Alex Mack
  16. I wouldn't say Clayton was "wrong"....these ppl in the NFL flip-flop all the time..playing the media to suit their needs and never revealing their true agenda...just watch any coaches post game conference...part of doing business is being sneaky and manipulative
  17. yea I asked him that in like 3 or 4 of the posts he made after this one...he said goodbye then went on to make 3-6 posts maybe more, he even started a few more threads..go figure
  18. thats ok man..wasnt trying to call you out or nothing
  19. thats basically what I was trying to say...its ridiculous to think just because Cassel looked good this season, playing for Billicheat, that he'd be better then Trent in Buffalo..or that he'd be a starter on any other team...It's looking like Billicheat is the Shanahan of QB's
  20. the number I keep hearing is $14-mil to franchise Cassel
