Phins #1 pick speaks in the third person
Tsaikotic replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol..yea hes is a bit but he didn't take to far or the line would look like this: "Everybody who knows Vontae knows that Vontae is a great person, a great player. And Bill Parcells speaks louder than words. For him to draft Vontae, he knows what type of person Vontae is." -

Bills sign long snapper garrison sanborn
Tsaikotic replied to bruceisloose78's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was actually hoping that Wood or Levitre could long snap....wasting a spot for a guy that just snaps the ball seems..well, wasteful...the only other problem I foresee is the same problem Buffalo had a few years ago...they changed there long snapper and the kickers had a harder time that year...I can't remember what year it was, I'm thinking Preston was LS'n and then they went out and got Neil...I also could be wrong, but I wanna say Buffalo had Neil then Preston LS'd and then Buffalo got Neil back...oh well, it's not like anybody really fallows the long snappers careers edit: I think I was wrong and I think it was Mike Schneck long snapping..then Preston for 1 year (which was bad) and then they grabbed Neil -
aww common..I threw 1 on there in the 7th see...LOL

wow..if you guys only knew how opposite these posts sound towards Reed than what used to be said like 2 years ago..I think 80% of TBD wanted Reed gone...anyways, I'm going to say that I'm about 90% sure that Reed will be the 3rd WR...and that Johnson will be the 4th...both out-performed Hardy and Parrish last season...I actually think the WR roster will be: Evans, T.O.. Reed, Johnson, Hardy, Parrish when you have a #1 and #2 duo like Evans and T.O. , I really don't think there's a clear #1 and #2...both should be on the feild a lot and maybe call them 1a and 1b

hmm..well, if your talking making the playoffs by winning the AFCE I'd say the Bills need to win 12 at least with 1 or 2 of those wins against the Pats to break any ties...as we saw last year, the Pats didn't make it in with 11 wins...would be odd I think to see that happen again this season, but I could be wrong...so I think the Bills need 10 - 12 games to make the playoffs this year...only other scenario I can think of is all of the teams have a hard time in the AFCE this season and maybe a 9-11 win season can win the division...by the way, what does your son say the Bills need to win to get to playoffs?

Name the team, player, and coach..
Tsaikotic replied to Major Mud's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Team - I'll have to go with 80's/90's Miami team's and 2000's Pats* team...Miami was hated only due to our rivalry with them...it was more of a hate / respect thing...Pats* just down right piss me off...it might be the Pats* fans more than the team, not sure. coach - I'd have to go with Bilicheat also..like said b4, he shows no class or any respect for any other teams Player - Bill Romanowski..I hate this guy...thers no excuse for playing dirty...I know these guys do small cheat things while piled up on each other but none of it goes to the extent Romanowski did...Brian Cox comes in second -
Tight Ends in Rookie & 2nd year
Tsaikotic replied to Christopher Capolupo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope he see's a few more than 18 catches, but the TD # wouldn't be bad...I really hope he can compare to H.Miller or C. Cooley in stats. Damn!...shockey had a huge rookie year, but his TD's look horrible compared to his #'s little off subject...does anyone feel Hardy makes the field much this season with T.O, Evans and Nelson on the field?..not to mention Reed or Johnson...I just don't see him being put out there much unless Buffalo goes like 4-5 wide -
I would have liked DT Mitch King

I thought the same thing..I was trying to figure out if the Bills would keep Parrish for his punt return skills or Jenkins for his gunner abilities...I eventualy kept Parrish due to the fact that he has the ability to score points and put the offense in a better position to score..Jenkins just helps keep the other team from scoring ...I figured Bobby April might be able to find someone to fill Jenkins shoes a lot easier than Parrish's...I had this same dilemma with LB's Corto and Costanzo...does Buffalo keep them for ST or go more with the newer LB's they brought on in FA and draft? this is how I saw the team as of right now: QB(3) - Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Gibran Hamdan RB(3) - Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Dominic Rhodes, Xavier Omon (till game 4 then cut) FB(1) - Corey McIntyre TE(3) - Derek Fine, Shawn Nelson, Derek Schouman WR(6) - Lee Evans, Terrell Owens, Josh Reed, Steve Johnson, James Hardy, Roscoe Parrish OG(3) - Eric Wood, Adam Levitre, Kirk Cambers, (Seth McKinney) OT(3) - Langston Walker, Brad Butler, Demetrius Bell, (Kirk Chambers), (Adam Levitre) OC(2) - Geoff Hangartner, Seth McKinney, (Eric Wood) DE(5) - Aaron Schobel, Aaron Maybin, Chris Kelsay, Ryan Denney, Chris Ellis, (Spencer Johnson) DT(4) - Marcus Stroud, Kyle Williams, Spencer Johnson, John McCargo OLB(6) - Kawika Mitchell, Nic Harris, Pat Thomas, Alvin Bowen, Jon Corto, Blake Costanzo MLB(2) - Paul Pozluszny, John DiGiorgio CB(4) - Terrence McGee, Leodis McKelvin, Ashton Youboty, Reggie Corner, (Jairus Byrd) SS(3) - Donte Whitner, Bryan Scott, Dreyton Florence FS(2) - Jairus Byrd, Ko Simpson, (Donte Whitner) K/PK(1) - Rian Lindell P(1) - Brian Moorman LS(1) - Ryan Neill PR - Roscoe Parrish, Jairus Byrd, Fred Jackson, Leodis McKelvin KR - Leodis McKelvin, Terrence McGee, Fred Jackson, Jairus Byrd

If we had to I'd say yes..he's been in the game so long it wouldn't take much to adjust to this offense....But I have a feeling he's already talking to Minny about going there..he wanted Minny last year but couldn't go due to Packers blocking him from going...I could be wrong, but I have a feeling he still tries to go.
-
you may be correct..that would be 5 LB's..hmm..I guess we could just throw all our LB's away and start over
-
LOL..no..but as I said..just for fun..I picked Hardy cuz I know(as much as any of us could actually know) hes going to be a monster DE that could replace Schobel...I did look for the sizes I thought would fit best tho..trust me..look at some of the guys coming out next year..there are a lot of bigger guys coming out...now if you want huge guys..heres a few DE's they have ranked for round 1 - 4 next year: r1 - Carlos Dunlap, Florida Height: 6-6. Weight: 290 r1 - Everson Griffen, USC Height: 6-3. Weight: 265 r1 - Greg Romeus, Pittsburgh Height: 6-5. Weight: 265 r1-2 - Brandon Graham, Michigan Height: 6-3. Weight: 270 r1-2 - Derrick Morgan, Georgia Tech Height: 6-4. Weight: 270 r2 - Eric Norwood, South Carolina Height: 6-1. Weight: 265 r3 - C.J. Wilson, East Carolina Height: 6-4. Weight: 271 r3-4 - Corey Wootton, Northwestern Height: 6-7. Weight: 271 r4 - Jeremy Jarmon, Kentucky Height: 6-3. Weight: 276 and that's just a few mixed in with a lot more 250's...gonna be a huge DE year next year...some of the top ones are 2011 prospects that could come out in 2010.
-
was it to hard to put this into the maybin vs. freeney thread right below this thread?..oh well...I guess some ppl just feel they won't get any attention unless they start new topics.
-
yea thats what my first 4 rounds are for next year also..my last 4 picks are just for depth.. got bored after the draft was done and decided to do a 2010 mock draft in my sig..LOL..
-
hmm..2 olb and 2 ilb ...man that site sucked..LOL...but its funny cuz just last night I did 2010 mock in my sig just for fun..I like mine better.
-
I think there were to many DE/OLB Hybrids in this draft...and thats why Buffalo went with Maybin and are ok with useing him as a situational DE...I'm hopeing next year more pure DE's come out and Buffalo can grab Schobels replacement then...till then I'm happy with Maybin...as a matter of fact I think this years draft was full of tweeners at all spots...thats probably why no drafties really stould out like last year...maybe next year we grab someone like: Greg Hardy, Ole Miss Height: 6-5. Weight: 260 Greg Romeus*, Pittsburgh Height: 6-5. Weight: 265. Carlos Dunlap*, Florida Height: 6-6. Weight: 290. Everson Griffen*, USC Height: 6-3. Weight: 265

does he need a brah or something??..whats going on

I know, I know...I just feed into his post on another thread where he said the same thing...he doesn't seem to be able to put more than 6 words together tho..

well I'm not going to go as far as to call you a moron like you did us, but I think your off on your statement that the draft sucked...I wouldn't give the overall A that some ppl are saying, but I think day 1 was a B+ to -A...you ever notice how most interior linemen are written as C/OG...or visa versa...playing inside on the o-line doesn't look to be all that different between the 2 positions..the main difference's are the C has to call the line duties and snap the ball..the C also has to get up and into a NT/DT face after snapping the ball...the OG gets to stand up-right a bit...both are blocking or trapping or swinging or whatever...I'm sure there are a few other small details between the 2 positions I don't know...What I do know is that Wood is being called one of the 3 best C/OG in the draft, and Buffalo got him...I've seen Levitre ranked in the top of this years OG/OT also...2 spots the Bills really needed to address on the o-line and Buffalo gets 2 guys ranked in the top 3 of both..how do you call that bad?..oh wait..you must be one of those guys where if Buffalo doesn't get the #1 rated in each pick for each position they sucked....now when it comes to Maybin, time will tell...he looks to be a great situational pass rusher...question was, was there a real pass rushing full DE coming out of this years draft?...you could say Orakpo, some say no...obviously ppl didn't see E.Brown that way since he fell so far back...Maybe next year Buffalo can get a stud DE that everyone wants...right now it's playing by comity and Maybin will excell(I hope) as a rotational DE this year...I can't say much about Jairus Byrd...hopefuly he worx out as a FS and a punt returner if Parrish gets traded or cut Day 2 I'd grade as a C+ to B..mainly because of TE Shawn Nelson...would I have liked to see Buffalo take a OLB at OLB..Yes, but if they feel they can us N. Harris as a WSLB, then I'll just sit back and wait and see...the last 2 picks is really what brings the grade down a bit..but besides T.Brady and few other great picks in the NFL..who the hell really uses there 6th and 7th round picks anyways...I see them as practice squad at best this year...but that just my opinion

For everyone complaining about all the CBs drafted
Tsaikotic replied to BucksNBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL..yea I hear yea..but they might just be doing what Pioli and the Patriots always do...draft best player for scheme...these 2 guys might, and I use that word loosely, might have been the best talent for our Tampa-2, or whatever its called, defense. -
For everyone complaining about all the CBs drafted
Tsaikotic replied to BucksNBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
did anyone else notice the info on the 2 CB's taken in the 6th and 7th? Cary Harris (CB) Scouts have paid a lot of attention to Southern Cal, and that includes Harris, a two-time honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection. He lacks great size, athleticism and interception totals of many of this year's top cornerbacks, but is a tough, physical defender that some scouts feel is among the draft's most underrated at the position. Harris might fit best in the NFL in a zone scheme or even at free safety due to his instincts, toughness and reliable open-field tackling. Ellis Lankster (DB) A star at cornerback and on special teams at Jones County Junior College, Lankster earned second-team All-Big East honors in his first year as a starter for the Mountaineers. His 68 tackles, three interceptions and seven pass breakups showed scouts the kind of versatility they covet. One product of this Mobile product's hard work was an invitation home to play at the Senior Bowl. Depending on the defensive scheme, Lankster could find himself a home at corner or free safety in the NFL. is it just me, or does anybody see the Bills trying to stock up and find depth at FS and not at CB..these two plus Buffalo's 2nd rounder Jairus Byrd, whom the Bills FO has allready stated will be playing FS, are all Tampa-2 style free safties...wonder wich players allready on the roster Buffalo is trying to dump?...course I could be reading to much into the info, and this might be something said about any non-star CB
