Did anybody see the redskin game
Tsaikotic replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFL.com shows he had 1 tackle and 1 assist...I didn't see how long he played for tho. -
wow..what's with the negativity man...I think just one post on how you felt would have been sufficient...all your doing is making yourself look lame... LOL... oh com'on...you know I was only joking..LOL
-
what size you wear?
-
yea he was a last minute add for round 7 for me only cuz I know Buffalo can't get out of the draft without grabbing a CB or DB of some kind ..I wrote that sig the day after this years draft...should probably add a WR to replace T.O. maybe..not sure..not to worried about right now tho..lol

BuffaloBills.com “It kind of crept up on him,” said Dick Jauron. “He was okay after practice yesterday and just got stiff in the morning. We’ll just see what happens.” Hmm...when my groin area gets stiff in the morning, I just take care of business and move on with my day, but it never makes the news.

LOL...I read McKinny and didn't shift off the OL when I read the next the next sentence...I assumed he was still taking OL in the next sentence...my bad
-
I think most of us have him making the team mostly due to the fact he's the only true FB on the team, as far as I can remember anyways....If it was up to me he'd be gone...I'd rather see more WR's or TE's or even RB's on the feild then see a FB being used..I think the FB spot is a wasted spot with this offense..I could be wrong tho, usually am

Not sure who you mean with C.Harris...I don't see any player by that name on the roster...Well on Billsdaily.com it's not anyways Yea..Originally I had M. Philip as the backup "C", but wasn't sure if he manned any other positions as well..I might make a change back to Philip as my choice actually...I haven't been to any to any practices yet so I haven't seen how the competition for backup "C" has been going I was kind of torn between Stupar and Jenkins...I know Jenkins is a ST ace and should have gone with him in the first place...Stupar probably makes the PS this year again. I usually check and change a few players every day or so...shows how bored I am

not sure if your comment refers to my post or the original poster, but I left Hardy off only cuz of the PUP list...I didn't add any PUP players, sorry my bad...

Nice...don't know much about Rodd, but in my 53 man attempt I have McKinny at C as backup..Thought I read somewhere he played C also...If I'm wrong I'll have to re-do my roster..I have the 2 new rookies slated as DB...This "DB" title has me a bit confused though...I originally thought DB was just a generic title for anyone who plays secondary...But the Bills roster site shows both CB and S with a few players titled as DB...so if anyone could clear that up it would be much appreciated here is my 53 man: QB(3) - Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Gibran Hamdan RB(3) - Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Dominic Rhodes, Bruce Hall (till Lynch returns) FB(1) - Corey McIntyre TE(4) - Derek Schouman, Derek Fine, Shawn Nelson, Jonathan Stupar WR(5) - Lee Evans, Terrell Owens, Josh Reed, Steve Johnson, Roscoe Parrish OG(3) - Eric Wood, Adam Levitre, Kirk Cambers, (Seth McKinney) OT(3) - Langston Walker, Brad Butler, Demetrius Bell, (Kirk Chambers), (Adam Levitre) OC(2) - Geoff Hangartner, Seth McKinney, (Eric Wood) Offense = 24 DE(5) - Aaron Schobel, Aaron Maybin, Ryan Denney, Chris Kelsay, Chris Ellis, (Spencer Johnson) DT(4) - Marcus Stroud, Kyle Williams, Spencer Johnson, John McCargo OLB(4) - Kawika Mitchell, Keith Ellison, Nic Harris, Alvin Bowen, (Pat Thomas) MLB(2) - Paul Pozluszny, Pat Thomas CB(4) - Terrence McGee, Leodis McKelvin, Reggie Corner, Ashton Youboty SS(1) - Bryan Scott, (Donte Whitner), (Nic Harris) FS(4) - Donte Whitner, Jairus Byrd, Ko Simpson, George Wilson DB(2) - Ellis Lankster, Cary Harris Defense = 26 K/PK(1) - Rian Lindell P(1) - Brian Moorman LS(1) - Ryan Neill ST = 3

I wasn't at that game, but I did make it to the Raiders playoff game a couple weeks later...I drove a beat-up station wagon that year with no heat, which wasn't to bad..the bad thing was after freezing thru the game, I returned to my car and after putting some stuff away, my back window blew out when I put the hatch back down...so I had to drive home to wayne county frozen in a car with no heat and no back window..lol...still had fun tho
-
oh np man..I wasnt calling you out or nothing..I was just confused as to who Harper was...I hadn't seen anything on him at all...but some of the posters here gave links so thats kool...
-
where you getting Harper from..ther's no QB on this team in any way named Harper...unless the rosters I've seen don't have him listed

Commentary on the new ST rules - 2-man wedge

Holy sh-- you babble...and you use these way to often ()..not alone you put paragraphs in them not a few words...you remind me a lot of pyrite gal....LOL -
Was looking at Bills roster and thinking about the DB's...With Corner looking really good so far and the article about how Buffalo hopes D. Florence's experience with AFC south teams will help this season...Maybe I'm thinking to much and not understanding how Buffalo uses there CB's, but I was wondering how to get both these guy's on the field more...Anyways, here's my real question...Does anyone see D. Florence playing S?..Hes the only 6'+ CB on the team...Not that means anything, but he's leaning more towards the S sizes Buffalo uses..He might need to add like 15 pounds tho, not sure...I guess this all really depends on how well Youboty recovers and plays this year as well...Meaning he could possibly beat out both Florence and Corner if he plays to the potential he showed last season...I guess this just shows the talent Buffalo has at CB.

Commentary on the new ST rules - 2-man wedge
Tsaikotic replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bobby April explained that they are eliminating shoulder to shoulder wedges of 3-5 players..he also said Buffalo runs a 3 man wedge so it won't be as hard to change for us as it will for some teams that incorporate the 4 and 5 man wedge...I would assume April will find a way to keep 3 players in a new wedge formation where they r not shoulder to shoulder...call it the april fools wedge... -
not arguing with yea, but who do you cut to keep Harris?...I mean McGee and McKelvin are locks and they really like Florence...Corner and Youboty are also good...I guess I could see Youboty getting the cut if he gets injured again before season starts...He might be good but to many injuries could push him off the squad...I could see Harris on the PS this year and maybe see what happens for next year.
-
yea he's on the Bills website roster and www.Billsdaily.com has him there also I kept McCall over McIntyre due to his size and the fact that Buffalo just can't keep a lone FB on the roster this year and keep some other guys as well... McCall is at 6'2" 276..he's big enough to be a punishing blocker and could possibly come in to block on 3rd and goal situations on the 1...I really don't think Bills use a FB this year...I see a lot more 3 - 4 WR sets and 2 RB sets..I just feel FB will be used sparingly and with MCall's size he could be that FB on certain situations...Shouman is expendable I think, although I could see the Bills keeping 4 TE's, but that wouldn't be any different than just keeping McIntyre I guess.
-
hmm...I thouight about that but I would hate to hamper the ST's any more than I already did...I've already cut Corto and Jenkins from the ST's...I think losing Cos and Wendling would hurt it to much..jmo tho...obviously April has the better insight to this then me.
-
Ive got him listed as a TE but comes in as the FB if and when they need one....hes actually in 2 spots but only counted as 1 spot against the 53 man roster...the (#) is a bit confuseing and they don't represent the actual 53 man #...I have a feeling the FB will be used less this year with our WR's and 2 RB sets...jmo tho

I know it's early, but heres what I put together: QB(3) - Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Gibran Hamdan RB(3) - Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Dominic Rhodes, Xavier Omon (till game 4 then cut) FB(1) - (Travis McCall) TE(3) - Derek Fine, Shawn Nelson, Travis McCall WR(6) - Lee Evans, Terrell Owens, Josh Reed, Steve Johnson, James Hardy, Roscoe Parrish OG(3) - Eric Wood, Adam Levitre, Kirk Cambers, (Seth McKinney) OT(3) - Langston Walker, Brad Butler, Demetrius Bell, (Kirk Chambers), (Adam Levitre) OC(2) - Geoff Hangartner, Seth McKinney, (Eric Wood) DE(5) - Aaron Schobel, Aaron Maybin, Ryan Denney, Chris Kelsay, Chris Ellis, (Spencer Johnson) DT(4) - Marcus Stroud, Kyle Williams, Spencer Johnson, John McCargo OLB(5) - Kawika Mitchell, Pat Thomas, Nic Harris, Keith Ellison, Blake Costanzo, (Alvin Bowen) MLB(3) - Paul Pozluszny, John DiGiorgio, Alvin Bowen CB(5) - Terrence McGee, Leodis McKelvin, Drayton Florence, Ashton Youboty, Reggie Corner, (Jairus Byrd) SS(3) - Donte Whitner, Bryan Scott, John Wendling FS(3) - Jairus Byrd, Ko Simpson, George Wilson, (Donte Whitner), (John Wendling) K/PK(1) - Rian Lindell P(1) - Brian Moorman LS(1) - Garrison Sanborn PR - Roscoe Parrish, Jairus Byrd, Fred Jackson, Leodis McKelvin KR - Leodis McKelvin, Terrence McGee, Fred Jackson, Jairus Byrd ok so what do you think?...I know I have 54 here but I just don't know who to cut to make it 53...some will say Ko Simpson, some will say K. Ellison...I'd like to keep Parrish, but I'd like to give him a shot with another team to be a starter at WR...I'm hoping Jairus Byrd can be a dominant PR to cover for Parrish's lose if it happens...my biggest cuts (which aren't that big at all) are at FB, RB and LS...I'd like to see some info on how well K Danny Urrego is doing...if he looks to be better then Lindell then they should make that switch too...

I never thought I would say this, but ..

you keep mentioning that this is Miami's second year of the wildcat offense, but you decline to say that this is the second year for all 32 teams defenses to prepare for the wildcat...its a gimmicky offense and defenses will be more prepared for it this year...especially defenses playing against Miami -
hey, he's only human..he tries..

it was reported that he went to Chicago to see what they'd offer and also that both Buffalo and Chicago would use him in the same way, and Pisa was asking to much for the role that both Buffalo and Chicago would use him for...has something to do with the fact that both Buffalo and Chicago use DB's in place of a 3rd LB in nickel situations..so therefore on some plays Poz and Mitchel are the only LB's on the field and Chicago does the same thing and they have Urlacher and some other dude..so Pisa, for both teams would be on the bench for some plays..therefore neither team wants to pay him as a full time starter.

practice squad rules a player under contract to a club as a Practice Squad player is completely free to sign a contract with another NFL club during the season in order to be on the second club's Active/Inactive (i.e., 53 man) list. A practice squad player may not sign an NFL Player Contract with his Club’s next opponent later than 4:00 p.m., New York time, on the sixth day preceding the game (except in bye weeks, when the prohibition commences on the tenth day preceding the game). If another club signs a Practice Squad player to its 53 man roster it does not have to provide any sort of compensation to the player's former club but it generally must keep the player on the 53 man roster for at least 3 weeks, thereby mandating that he earns the minimum first year salary for said 3 week period. NFL considers 3 weeks to be a full year, so that way the player would have to make a full years pay of 53 man roster pay
