I agree this regime will be killed for a failed Qb, but I don't think they would be killed for trying again next year...now if they try again and fail and try again and fail..then yes..kill em all and start over from the top.

I have to disagree...I would not want to waste a pick just to trade up in the second to get a guy you could have taken at #8 so you could not "FEEL" married to him...if the guy is a bust and you got him at #8 then you picked bad and lost 1 pick..all be it a first round pick but just a pick..if he ends up good, then nobody remembers where you picked him...but if you give away a 3rd and 5th to move up to get the same guy and he busts you lost your whole draft...if he doesn't bust then you gave away extra picks to get a guy you could have gotten with just 1 pick...

well I don't watch game-tape like you do..well ok not at all..but anyways..i don't think that CB Tyrann Mathieu will last in the NFL...once he gets that money he's gonna go crazy...I know he says he's done with drugs and he knows he has to get his head screwed on,but man that's a lot of drugs he can buy with that money.

PFC: 5 Reasons the Bills Should Draft Barkley
Tsaikotic replied to billsfan905's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
probably the fact that they have "drafted/traded for" a few Cali QB's in the last 15 years or so...R. Johnson, T. Edwards, J.P. Lossman...they might not have all played in Cali but they all have Cali ties none the same...when I first heard Bills associated with Barkley in earlier mocks I hated the choice just due to he was from Cali... lol..I don't use "none the same" very often..hope i used it correctly..lol -
you'll never get a Qb that way...if you keep waiting till the next year because you let your QB of choice pass by to another team, you'll always be looking and never getting...that's exactly what happened last year when Nix watched 2 or 3 QB's go earlier then he anticipated.. that style of QB play is not what the team is going for...a lot of teams(IMO) believe this new QB style is a fad...I've heard a couple interviews that say they don't believe this system will be around for to long...kinda like the wildcat... @ Derek in VA - since you brought up the Jets I'll stay with them here...the Jets today have given D. Revis permission to go to the Bucs and interview and take physicals and such, which most likely means he will be traded...that will most likely give the Jets a second 1st round pick giving them the #9 and #13...going with Jets needs, they should grab best pass-rusher at #9 and then use #13 on CB Rhodes if hes still there to replace Revis...that gives them #40? to get a QB right before Bills pick...that's 3 possible picks to grab a QB b4 Bills if they wait till rd 2...most likely Jets will grab Manuel in rd 2...add in the fact that a lot of ppl are saying that the Jags and maybe Raiders will also go for a QB in rd 2 also...if that happens, that means 3 of the top QB's will be gone b4 Bills pick in rd 2...I just don't see any way they can't use #8 on their QB of choice...they need to get one of the top 3 QB's this year and he doesn't work out then we can still get another next year...I don't see a trade down with the Vikings and getting the #23 and extra picks changing any of that scenario with the Jets...either way both teams will most likely have a Qb by the end of rd 2...only real difference that changes things is which team wants that one QB the most and thinks the other team will steal him first...my opinion anyways. I agree...watching the tape, you can see the body language of Nix when asked about Barkley and he looks all giddy when he's talking about him...and all " yea whatever" when talking about Manuel

Draft plan Bills may be looking to pull off.
Tsaikotic replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I was a Vikings fan I'd be pissed they gave up #23 and #25 to move up to get Teo who should be there at #23 for them...I realize the point of your OP is not to say who the Vikings are going after and how they're going to get him and that you used that scenario as an example, but still I'de be pissed..lol... that aside...I like the idea of moving down and maybe taking #23 and some other picks from Vikings and grabbing Barkley or Nassib at #23...don't think Vikings will give # 23 and #25 to anybody in this draft to move up..one or the other plus 2nd round maybe but not both 1st rounders. -
Bill Polian's top 4 qualities in a franchise QB
Tsaikotic replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
according to PFT...Polian believes Landry Jones to be the best QB in this years draft...I'm tempted to believe Polian got the Manning pick right by luck and not by any skill in evaluating players...not the guy i would use to pick my next QB http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/19/bill-polian-says-landry-jones-is-the-best-qb-in-the-draft/ -
line could be : Sanders - Urbick - Wood - Warmack - Glenn

he also has sir Charles Barkley at QB with pick #1 many have Hunt going late 1st into the 2nd round..don't think he makes it past rd 2

Updated Mock Draft with Best Trade Scenario
Tsaikotic replied to SRivRoc's topic in College Football
looks good...don' think Bucs will have a 1st or 3rd come draft time tho...talks are now that Jets are trying to get Bucs to take both Revis and Sanchez...but who knows... Alec Lemon will be drafted in rd 5 - 6 IMO, not sure about Sales -
Who will be our starting QB on opening day?
Tsaikotic replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I chose Aaron "Andy" Corp...he had no picks..I felt so bad for him..he was like the fat chick getting picked last in gym class... My real choice would be Kolb..why Kolb over T.J??..no idea..I'm thinking hold on..............................................................................................................nope..no clue why..just would...lol -
whats with DraftTek's love for Tyler Wilson??...not saying he's going to be a bad pick, but on both simulations it picked Wilson for us..even in different rounds...plus it took our need for WR way to serious with 4 in the 2nd simulation...only 1 LB for each of the simulations and neither had a depth selection at S...not sure with 6 picks they go with S depth but if we got option #2 we would have enough to grab at least 1.. I really like trade option #2...not who was picked but the # of picks and where they are is what I like...even though the picks are in the 20's and not the teens, i feel Bills could still get the quality players we need...with no absolute top 10 players that most years have, I think where everyone goes is a real crap-shoot...definitely would do #2..
-
seeings Kapernick would still be there in rd2..if I had to redo and take a different pick, then i would have gone with A.J.Green or J.J. Watt...then grab Kap in rd2...who was our rd2 pick again??

found this article on rotoworld.com and thought I'd share it... http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/42942/260/tape-review-buffalo-bills has an interesting take on what was going on last year...liked the part about S. Johnson toasting the greatest CB in NFL history..Sherman read and enjoy..or don't..
-
some sites have SS Shamarko rated as high as 2nd /3rd on list of SS's...if he really is, then he'll go in rd 2 or 3 at latest...as others have stated, we really need a WR..so grab one in the 2nd over a C...I like the LB's but not sure Hunt lasts that long...also, seeing's Bills just tried to get a TE in FA, they might want to grab one in the draft now...

Are we set at LB? Possible solution
Tsaikotic replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills will draft a LB in the 4th or 5th ..choices of Nico Johnson, Kevin Reddick and/or Jon Bostic where's Moats playing this year?..is he DE or back to LB?? -
yea I can see that...maybe on a workout visit it's like 80% physical workout, 10% doctors physical and 10% mental work-up...then on second visit 80% mental, 15% physical and 5% doctors check....makes sense...this way they don't get to crammed for time on each visit
-
just curious, what do they do during a pre-draft visit that they didn't do during a workout??.. I like that they are acknowledging the fact this draft has no clear cut rank in QB's and are doing everything they can to make sure they get a QB they can make this team better with...wonder how many more QB's they have in mind to bring in..I'm thinking T.Wilson, T. Bray, M. Barkley and maybe they bring in Nassib just to check up on him.....I could see Zac Dysert as-well.

Lost in all of this, we need a Tight End
Tsaikotic replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TE seems to be the one position that the Bills have ignored even longer than the QB spot...when they got Jay (oh christ Im gonna kill his last name here) Remiersma, Ithought maybe they had finally replaced Metz..but I was wrong again...one day I'd really like to see a good TE in Buffalo again. -
when i watch all these sports networks and I see ex-NFL players talking they all seem to say the same thing...All players want that ring, that superbowl win...(this is when I get mad at certain players like Rob Johnson...play crappy for one team and then go and get a ring as a backup on another...so basically help destroy a team and then get rewarded for it on another)...the biggest prize you can get is that win and the ring, and some players get it for being back-ups on good teams...anyways, my point is, I think players will always go to the team that can get them that prize when its late in their career...I think if I'm coming off my rookie contract I would want to go and play somewhere knowing I have a good 5-7 more years to play...If I'm Hasselbeck I would go to where i can get that ring b4 where I can play...I guess it also depends on how beat up my body is at Hasselbecks point in his career...best option would be "where can I go and play and still get that ring", but that option doesnt come up often i wouldnt think...dont get me wrong, there are some players that dont feel the ring is the most important part of their career...some feel playing until they die is more important.

We have more holes than swiss cheese
Tsaikotic replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not sure I'd totally agree on DB's...Byrd is one the top safties, Gilmore was solid and hopefully only gets better this year, Brooks is a hopefull for being solid after coming back from injury last season...if they re-sign McKelvin and bring in a good SS we could have a pretty good backfield....I wonder if Easley gets a better shot with this staff this year
