If the guy they want is there at QB then they take him but if we had the slightest semblance of a defense Fitz has 3 win. I can't find much fault in Fitzpatrick.

I think it became quite clear early what kind of season it would be, so yes, my expectations were and are quite low. But they're my team and can see positives even amid the losing.

I guess when you can accept the fact that we have a vary bad team you can start looking for the positives in losses. The first year under a new staff, new schemes, new philosophies, bad draft picks, yeah it's going to be a long year, so when they make some plays and stay in games into overtime, I start seeing positives in the team.

As evidence by the last draft, Buffalo will not be goaded into drafting a QB they do not believe in. If that "franchise" QB is there they take him, if not, they take the best available athlete.

Trent Haters? Trent Haters? Let me step out on a limb here and say that had Trent played with just a hint of semblance to a starting QB in the NFL everyone on this board would be overjoyed. No one hated Trent, only the fact that he refused to throw a football more than 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, sure we hated that. Only the fact that he failed miserably in reading a defense, knowing who had single coverage, knowing where the blitz might be coming from, sure we hated that. But most of all we hated the fact that on 4th down, in a game where the outcome was already decided, he would rather run out of bounds then throw the ball down field. That play sealed his fate. I don't hate Trent, but I do hate the way he played QB for my team.

Just messin' with ya a little. I agree with your post, and I'll keep wearing my rose colored glasses. I did get sucked into thinking Trent had it together after watching he pre-season games but was slapped back to reality after the first two games. Fitzpatrick has proven again that he is light years ahead of him and makes this offense better.

What kind of uniform do you wear?

If you don't see an improvement from the QB position this week (ie. passes down field, making reads of the defense, pocket awareness) I'll agree with you.

Oh there are other options. Their names are Fitz and Brohm. Either one of those options would not be afraid to throw the football down the field, Edwards has once again shown that, unless a receiver is wide open, he simply will not throw it downfield. I would imagine that Gailey will quickly realize that Edwards is not an NFL QB.

Well good for you. But me? I'm a fan (that's short for fanatic) of the Buffalo Bills, my home town team. I do take to heart the negative comments that are made, be it nationally, locally, and even here on this site.
