    When evaluating receivers there are two things I look at- can he get open and can he catch the ball when it's thrown to him. Nelson met that criteria.

    Not unique to the city schools in WNY. I went to grade school in Barker, NY and we swam naked. Thinking about it now it does seem a little weird that we did that but at the time it seemed normal.

    Plus he started with a rookie at the QB position and now has a QB who is starting 12 days after being taken off the practice squad. Hackett is doing a fine job given the tools he has to work with.

    So it stands to reason that the Mr. Big cream you purchased would also make the hand you applied it with bigger.

    I'm not sure if I would like the series so much if I had read the books first? I read the first book after watching the first season and was amazed at how closely the series followed the book. Haven't read the rest of them though.

    Can't root for Ray Lewis. Guy should be doing 25 to life.

    So does SF release Smith before his bonus applies? I'd take him in a second if the price is right. The 49ers have no top flight WR and Smiths completion percentage was extremely high before he got hurt.

    I would love to have Williams as DC. His defenses are always at the top.

    Really? I don't think I could tell you who call the plays for Alabama or Notre Dame. Can you? Not trying to argue with you but it is true that the Head Coach is ultimately responsible. Even Beerball has stated the same things concerning some questionable playcalling.

    To be fair, that's not something that is widely publicized, is it?

    I agree with your first statement, it is on the HC. As far as relying on the defense, I find no fault in that. I'm not sure if this hire will work out for the Bills or not but I have no other option than to hope.

    Thanks for the response. As far as the play calling ( passing on 3rd and short ) do you know if he called the plays or did his OC call the plays? Was there a reason he did not trust his Kicker? Did he rely too much on his defense when punting on 4th and 2?

    Let me ask you, did Marrone make huge coaching gaffes at SU? Blow timeouts? Did he leave better players on the bench in favor of some senior? Was his 2 minute drill ineffective? Was his teams ill prepared? Did SU play uninspired? I really would like to know.

    I'm sure that they meant to ask him who he would bring on as DC and OC, probably just forgot.

    I believe this move will be beneficial in the drafting and quick development of a young quarterback, It seems to me that an "established, nfl experienced" coach would be more set in their own ways. Fresh young HC and a fresh young QB is just what we need,

    I understand what you're saying, a great QB will make any coach look good and a bad QB will make the best coach look like a fool. We need a top notch QB and then it won't matter who's coaching.
