  1. Well, they are also just trying to get out of the interview... that's such a "catch-phrase". Players everywhere use it. Interviewer: "what unique things did you do to win the game" Answer: " we just played 'Bills Football'. Yawn... change channel...
  2. they said it would be a multi-year process. and they are executing against it. this is not the year. but it is coming. trust it
  3. Chris Brown 1. QB Tyree Jackson likely to start preseason finale In the final game of the Bills preseason it looks like undrafted rookie QB Tyree Jackson will see his most extensive action. Though head coach Sean McDermott didn’t fully confirm the UB product as the starter against the Vikings on Thursday night, he indicated that he is leaning that way. “We’re still in conversations about that, but more than likely I would say,” McDermott said. To this point in the preseason, Jackson has just 24 pass attempts and eight completions. He has also rushed for 32 yards. On Thursday night, with most of the starters not expected to take the field, Jackson could eclipse those figures knowing he’ll be getting the most playing time he’s seen in a Bills uniform. Jackson has not been the beneficiary of a lot of reps in practice either as the offensive staff is focused on getting Josh Allen and Matt Barkley ready for the regular season, but McDermott has seen Jackson make strides with his personal game. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/quick-hits-qb-tyree-jackson-likely-to-start-preseason-finale oh boy. all goosebumps over here. find something else to do during this one... yikes
  4. trust the process. this game is where the process begins to show, IMHO.. little bitty road game no one cares about. W.
  5. 1> don't watch preseason football. It is garbage and tells you very little. 2> bills had an above .500 roster and were playing at a .500 plus level at the end of last year, in real games, so a lift this year should come as no surprise 3> remember, most other teams have gotten better as well 4> turnovers lose games and a rash of IR - type injuries end playoff runs, so those are always factors Lets get to the end of next month and see how the Process is progressing. If a bunch of key guys are going doing down for the year, it usually happens in the first month of the season. After that, the IR type injury stuff settles down. Then we can judge if this group is better than the one that exited 2018.
  6. Cam and the Panthers had their SB shot and missed it. time for others to have theirs
  7. you have to assume Murphy will be healthy enough to give them 10-14 strong games this year. Get 10+ healthy games out of him and we should be good. when healthy, he is very good.. watched him with Redskins here in DC, he can be a force
  8. yeah the whole #2 defense ranking is a garbage stat.. 6-10 is the stat that matters yep, clean pickets are no gude
  9. With all the injuries on the Oline, you may not see any cuts there at all, more like your locks going on IR. and the season along with them. if your Oline is a mess, your season won't be not far behind
  10. If the O LIne is a mess, you can kiss the playoffs good bye right now. I did not know Morse's extensive injury and especially concussion history. If he and other O Line starters go down for extended periods , then the whole off season FA goodwork is lost and so is the season. Unless you have a HOF QB, a team in today'sNFL cannot survive its O Line being decimated by injury.
  11. Agreed. Charles Clay was a game changer when healthy as well. He was never healthy. Result : his NFL career worked out exceedingly well... for him.
  12. yeah it'll probably take the Giants 20 more years to figure it out, just like the Bi..s..... wait
  13. same. cancers on that team gonna show up big time as soon as they lose a couple, happens every time a team goes big in FA with divas
  14. I would imagine Coverage in the CFL is weak, leading to bad habits in the WRs that NFL corners exploit. Can't think of many CFL guys who make it in the NFL, esp WR.
  15. No. We have return guys now and WRs. I don't see him making it.
  16. yeah, just update the Ralph. Can't be that hard.
  17. using "to" instead of "too" is going too far
  18. The only ranking that matters in the NFL is wins and losses. I'm all for 100 man rosters and 25 game seasons. This offseason 6 months of media talking head ranking crap is garbage.
  19. I thought about it for a while. I like it. Even having to play the backup QB a couple times gives them exposure, which to me is kind of intriguing. Love the idea of getting second teamers more reps. Teams like the Bills need to be developing players constantly as the draft is key. I like the way the owners are calling the players bluff. 18 real games that count? Sure. No preseason? Excellent. Season starts earlier? Great. I'm in.
  20. one of my fondest Bills game memories is the Jax game Flutie walkoff TD, but he is a smaller Tyrod Taylor . super exciting, etc etc, but not gonna get you to the promised land in today's NFL. In today's NFL, you need a complete team, No. 1 , plus a big mobile decision maker at QB. If you don't have both of these things, enough teams will have exploited your weaknesses enough times to keep you out of the Big Game. BTW, Seahawks haven't done much since the non-Wilson parts of the team fell apart.
