  1. And frankly, while HOF coaches Spags and Reid brought the pain for sure, JA17 wasn't very good last night. Let's spread the criticism around to all the appropriate parties. Spags took the scramble away, and for whatever reason Josh simply wasn't his usual surgical self from the pocket last night. And the big bad O Line got handled in crunch time. They got worked by the higher talent, higher energy, HOF coached team last night. And they still almost pulled it off at the end. Go Bills.
  2. can they move our game up>. this one looks bad
  3. Man I am already stress eating. So when does our game start? 6:30?
  4. uh oh, turnovers decide these things
  5. I like the uni's . of course I live here and see the colors all the time
  6. yeah but they won't be able to stop us either josh > squon
  7. true, maybe I'll wander over there as well, 15 min away. good spot. nuts, really. Jimmy and I grew up pretty close to each other... not sure the wife wants that madness tho, may need to wait on that one for the SB
  8. Sterling, Virginia (outside of DC), might go up to the corner bar w/my son and cheer on the Redskins with locals for few hours though (they deserve some love after years of Dan Snyder) trying to avoid the nasty Iggles fans then maybe (or maybe not) come home for the Bills game, depending on bar vibe
  9. I just think single elimination tournaments are such a crapshoot that to win one you need to keep going back year after year until the breaks/refs/turnover margins go your way for 3-4 games in a row and you get through it. H-ll, only half the teams in the leagues managed 4+ game winning streaks during the regular season when many games were against crap competition or at home or both. IMO the way to keep going back over and over again year after year is to have guys like Beane and McD stick to the process of roster and culture building that they have. go get the Allens, and the Hollins's of the world and build it. The only two exceptions to this rule in the past 30 years are maybe the Pats and now the Chiefs. And the Chiefs and Pats have "only" less than a 30% successs rate; got bounced from the tournament 2 out 3 tries. And they were loaded with HOF QBs and HCs. So much has to go right that I lean more on the program building side than the Rams "lets go buy a title" method from a few years back as they have been pretty much toast before and after that one tournament run. I want to keep getting back into the tournament with a legit shot to win it year after year. McBeanes IMO have ensured that with how they run the place. Trust the Process. By the law of averages, if nothing else, the trophies should come.
  10. Plus Ronald Curry gets another year to get ready to take over.
  11. Beane can do a lot, bc those FA signings' first year salaries in many cases will be paid as a single bonus which is pro rated over many years for cap purposes, meaning you can sign several players both on todays roster (JA, Rousseau, etc) and from other teams under that 70m dead cap which is coming back , plus the cap will increase for next year, plus lots of 2024 cap salary will be dumped or lost to other teams. No crazy shopping spree, but a hell of a lot more than the nothing he could do last year. They have this thing wired for several years IMO
  12. I see this coming in FA, Beane will fix this IMO
  13. Yeah I don't see this defense shutting a top offense down when its do or die for that offense and they are playing 4 down football. Just don't see it for almost any defense. Need to score, score and score some more in today's NFL. Get a couple turnovers and you can end up with more points. Kind of how goes in today's NFL at the highest levels.
  14. gonna be open for years. see OP
  15. The Bills roster will undoubtedly be improved next year. No question about it. Beane's hands were tied last year; not so this year. From scrimmage, not much to pick between the two teams. Turnovers, penalties (mistakes in general) and the clock will determine who wins IMO.
  16. Yep. Get the facts out there b4 the "fire them all" crew emerges if it turns out they can't buy their $11.99 SB tee shirts this year.
  17. not too much. It will be a great, competitive game. but hey, you don't want to get that invested in a single elimination tournament game in the NFL, because you could dominate the game from scrimmage and look great doing it, but the reality is you're a couple of lucky peanut punch turnovers from going home. Ask the Lions, ask the Ravens. Dominated from scrimmage and looked great doing it, but a few turnovers sent them home. I wonder if the scoring should be based on turnovers, not touchdowns and field goals. Turnovers seem to be all that matters in the NFL playoffs, as offenses are pretty much unstoppable and defenses can't do much without penalizing themselves into their own end zone. think about it.
  18. Bills are in the AFC Title game with 1) 2024's 10th youngest roster and 2) after managing past the league's 3rd largest dead cap hit ($75m, of which $70m becomes available for 2025) What this tells me, assuming JA17 keeps rolling and no major rash of key IR injuries is that: McBeanes in all likelihood will have this franchise right back here next season, regardless of what happens tomorrow. We are blesssed to finally have this franchise in the hands of these two guys. Go Bills
  19. don't need one, we have 5 #2's . works for me if 17 is QB
  20. thats why Brady would be nuts not to take the Saints HC job if its offered . nothing is certain. Hope he doesnt, but he nuts if he doesn't . Slowik is the perfect example of what can happen
  21. someone puts 20 or 30m guaranteed in front of you, you may want to take that... just sayin
