Do you really want a rookie Offensive Coordinator ?
ProcessTruster replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give it to Dorsey. If for no other reason than I don't want McD choosing an offensive coordinator. Dorsey is all offense, all the time. the bills are close; don't take a chance on getting another Rick Dennison. His hiring of Rick Dennison had to be one of the worst hires the world's ever seen. Never let a defensive oriented guy pick the OC. -
This was the year, and the coaches blew it
ProcessTruster replied to Rampage's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don't know who blew it yet. I'm waiting for Bass to be asked what he was told to do. -
Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
ProcessTruster replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes give it to Dorsey, offense is not the problem here. More of the same please -
Agree. From 2010 to 2020, the home team wins Conf Champ game 68% of the time by an average of 2 scores. Nuf said.

Are we the slowest team in the league?
ProcessTruster replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stevenson and L'il Dirty prob get long looks this season. Again, offensive production doesn't seem to be an issue. Go draft a fast fast corner #1 . There are a few in this draft. I would be shocked if Beane doesn't go fast corner #1, with all the speed guys at WR in the AFC. -
A Positive way to look at last Sunday
ProcessTruster replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane will add more quality pieces and they'll go get after it again in 6 months. no "rebuilding", no "oh my gosh the schedule is so tough" , no "our QB isn't good enough" , no " we are in Cap jail", no, "rick dennison is our OC and we are screwed" none of these. gotta love what the Bills are now. -
Well, I think Dan Hanzus summed up the season pretty well for me
ProcessTruster replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
This junction for the pre SB Bills teams of the 90's is where the FA signings of nasties and bangers like Leonard Smith and Kenneth Davis started showing up big time. Hopefully Beane goes and gets a Chandler Jones, etc. This is the time too bring some FA nasties into the mix. Maybe Obada is one of them, but that kind of overwhelming individual athletic force that augments all the "Process" type draft picks and mid level rotational FAs . I think McBeanes know what needs to be done. Need home field to get to the SB in most years. Every team does. Need a little more juice for the bend don't break defense scheme, IMO. Not a ton, just a FA or two. -
If this week isn't painful enough, 31 years ago today....
ProcessTruster replied to gomper's topic in The Stadium Wall
nah... this team is rockin. McBeanes have a roster now that 90% of the league cannot compete with. I'm pretty happy right now that McBeanes didn't blow the cap chasing shiny objects and as a result have a sustainable winner capable of running the table any of the next few years. pretty cool, actually. Plus, the entire media is behind them now with the *****--ty way the game went down. Bills could be the new "America's Team" pretty soon. Trust the Process. -
I just think it's great that the Bills are going to be a force in the league for many years... something that hasn't existed for 30 years

Draft a fast corner #1 as neither Levi or Tre will be there day 1 , IMO. Levi will sign elsewhere and if he stays, he cannot play man against quality, Tre will never be ready before Thanksgiving Draft a Guard/Center type high Draft an big fast RB2 in the second round. Love DS, but need another RB2 IMO Extend horrible Harry. Guy can play. Let Hughes go and use the $$ to get a younger rotational FA DE or Chandler Jones. Need a monster inside the O tackles on the D line. NOt sure how Beane does it, but he needs to do it

Could we be seeing the start of AFC dominance in the SB?
ProcessTruster replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes, wait unitl Burrow and Herbert start crankin it up. shades of Moon, Marino, Kelly and Kosar. will be so fun to watch -
pretty strong schedule. McBeanes will have the Bills ready to compete, as they have so far. Not sure we see Tre at full speed at all next season. We'll see.
-
plus even if they sent 2 No.1s for some all world pass rusher, they don't have the cap space to pay the guy $25m per... is what it is.. I see most of this roster coming back , with expensive expendables replaced by low cost draft choices. That's about all Beane can do. Heck, I'd go into next year with this exact roster and be pretty darn happy.

Are we overplaying this team's chances had we won?
ProcessTruster replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. having the best cover squad in the league, how they did not call and/or execute the pooch kickoff to the 5 yard line to run 6-7 secs off the clock is beyond comprehension, yes. they did it all year with great success. Situational football failure, we just don't know which coach pooped the bed on that one. Its gonna come out eventually, the media will go to Bass and ask him point blank. Hate to say it, but the whole 13 second thing was so "Billsy". thought we were done with that term, but I guess not. On the bright side, progress is not linear and I can see this roster getting into the same position again next year, which is really something to look forward to. -
KC will destroy the Bengals, just as we would have. SB was already played last Sunday.

Comparisons to '87, '88 and '89 are interesting
ProcessTruster replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apologies. I should have searched for the others. Feel free to close. -
'87 Miss the playoffs, but tons of promise, compared to '19 Miss the playoffs but tons of promise '88 Kill it, go 12-4, lightning fast offense, but don't have home field, lose AFC Title away frostbite game to Bengals , compared to '20, Kill it, go 13-3, but again lose home field & lose to Chiefs away '89 Go 9-7, sneak in as AFC Champs, but seeding is low and lose "The Drop" game to Browns away, compared to '21 , stumble in to AFCE title, but lose away in Divisional round 1990, Kill it, finally get home field advantage throughout the playoffs and go to the SB. -- 2022, ? Home field advantage in playoffs (this season being an outlier) has been shown to be a significant advantage over the years. Hopefully next year Bills win the Jax games of the world and get the Chefs at home.

That comeback last minute drive was absolute magic
