  1. apologies, I guess I was, in general, addressing all of those on this who randomly call for this coach or that coach to be fired
  2. Beane was clear they are trying to keep a roster that will give 17 a legit shot at the title every year of his career. That was a big statement. they are not going to try and buy one SB at the expense of their investment in 17's career. That position makes one hell of a lot of sense; tells me they are about to give Josh a very long term contract that will be crazy expensive. Which means they need to get the most out of that investment by being highly competitive EVERY year, not just shoot the moon and do a Rams or Saints and go into multi year cap hell for one title. Very interesting what he said. McD 's coaching philosophy sounds like a college coach "forming men" and "having the guys leave better men", etc. Not sure that fits in a pro program. Concerning there. Glad he has coordinators who actually do the work.
  3. And replace him with who exactly? I am becoming irritated with all these firing requests where the alternative (and their qualifications and why they would be better) is never put forward.
  4. Not sure. Not much out there that wouldn't cost a fortune.
  5. yeah, 15W-4L "year after year after year after year..." gimme me more of that ! but seriously, Beane was clear they are trying to keep a roster that will give 17 a legit shot at the title every year of his career. 6. I was referring to the secondary market for tickets. Raises a great question; I wonder how much enthusiasm there will be among the season ticket base to attend regular season games vs. sell their tickets on Ticketmaster, etc. I mean, by your criteria, this organization has failed for 60+ straight seasons and since, by your criteria, success is measured only by tournament success, why bother with the regular season games. Just sell 'em and "see ya for the playoff games". I wonder to what extent your criteria has a/in fected the fanbase and created an apathy for the regular season. Interesting. Someone should start a poll and ask the question: "do you care about the regular season anymore? "
  7. well with that attitude, guess you ain't buying any ticket to see that "failure" of a team. more for me then, I guess. . I sincerely hope you find a "successful" team to follow.
  8. I know its golf season for me for sure. smart guy that Josh.
  9. with two 2's, I can see Beane moving up in this years draft.
  10. yep... go get Burden; I could see big baller Beane doing this for sure. Burden is fabulous.
  11. wow, well the cap math is the same, but the cap savings will be less then. home town discount? ha
  12. Yes you can bet Beane will do this. If I have my capology correct, if, say, they tore up the current deal and he signed (to keep the numbers simple) a 5 year, $200m deal , that's 40m per year. So, if the first years 40 is simply paid in one shot on day 1, that 40m is divided by 5 = $8m spread out per year against cap So his cap hits over the 5 years are as follows: $8m, $48m, $48m, $48m, $48m Lets say his cap hit next season if they do nothing is $35m (I don't have Sportrac in front of me), then the team created $35m minus $8m or $28m of cap space for 2025
  13. to answer the OP, basicially: KC is loaded, starting with HOF QB, OC/HC and DC. They are the 2000-2015 Pats reincarnated. Really. The Bills, tho are NOT the 2005-2015 Bills reincarnated, and thats what makes this much more interesting. Not sure there's anyone out there to rival Reid/Spags, so that's a problem, but based on results today's Bills are close. Go Bills.
  14. exactly, leave this board for awhile. Playing golf on Wednesday. that will help. opening day! flamethrowing on this board will go on for awhile. I've said my calm, calculated positive piece, no effect, so.. Onward.
  15. slot guy... already got one of those
  16. Pretty sure Beane will be active in FA this year. His hands were tied last off season due to Diggs, Miller, White ,etc cap hits, but these largely disappear in 2025. Go Bills.
  17. we nearly went to the SB in what everyone poster here said 5 mos ago was. a complete "roster reset" , "wild card maybe" year ; geez . give me a break . sure, lets tear it all down. what a bunch on this board
  18. there you go. well said. Look at the Brightside (pun intended) ; now that the Bills are "losers" in the eye of the media, maybe the f ing league/media/ad revenue machine cabal will leave the Bills alone and give up a few more 1pm home starts next season that we can enjoy! How's that?!
  19. ah the media/league driven "SB or you're a loser" viewership/ad revenue driving hype train has trapped you as well. So, did you only watch the manufactured so-called college title game and ignore the rest of the season? do you only watch the NBA and NHL playoffs final rounds? they want you trapped in the all or nothing to max viewership of the max ad revenue games. to your point no one watches wk 3 bills/phins, so they have to funnel max viewership (to max ad revenue) into a single elimination "win or go home" - labelled tournament. Hey, I went to ***** ole Bills / Titans this year with my family and it was magnificent. That is a lasting memory, but all guys like you can think of now is they failed. Poisoned by the "SB or bust" mantra created by the media/advertiser/league cabal. Too bad. Have a crappy off season. I thought the season was pretty cool Cheers.
  20. pretty much. HOF coaches doing HOF coach things against first time coordinators. Both lines got bullied in spots for sure. Josh was off. Any they still almost pulled it off ! go bills
  21. I think Josh kind of crapped the bed in several spots last night. Wasn't throwing it very well in spots. HOF coach Spags outcoached first time OC Brady for sure, which I would expect, but Josh had trouble compensating on the field as well.
  22. Frankly, while HOF coaches Spags and Reid brought the pain for sure, JA17 wasn't very good last night. Let's spread the criticism around to all the appropriate parties. Spags took the scramble away, and for whatever reason Josh simply wasn't his usual surgical self from the pocket last night. And the big bad O Line got handled in crunch time. They got worked by the higher talent, higher energy, HOF coached team last night. And they still almost pulled it off at the end. Go Bills.
