Bills sign S Zayne Anderson to a 2 year deal
ProcessTruster replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
say good bye Taiwan Jones. Good job while you were here. Too bad Heath Farwell didn't give you a chance to run off some of the 13 seconds. -
No. Heath Farwell sh-t the bed and gave KC 13 seconds instead of like 6 or 7 by not doing his job. I could have won that game on D with only 7 seconds to give.

Suitable Edmunds Replacements in the draft
ProcessTruster replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Something in the 3rd or beyond. I personally do not want to pay Edmunds. Let him go. Spend his $$ on the offense. -
Rex Ryan emerging as favorite for DC in Denver?
ProcessTruster replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The right coach was fired after 13 seconds. Heath Farwell. D bag cost the organization the one real shot at the title during Josh's rookie deal. Now the roster gets pulled apart. Frazier, Rex Ryan, Bill Belichick, who cares? Not sure defense really matters as much any more in the NFL, relative to offense. If you can't put up 30+ in a playoff game, you are out, bc your post-wild card opponent will regardless of how terrific your defense or your DC is. The game has changed. In fact, if you can't score 30+, you may lose 3 out of 4 against any top 10 team in today's NFL going forward. Hell, the Lions rolled up the points on the Bills. Defense is the new RB1. Need one to keep the other team honest, but don't spend a lot of money on it. Put your $$ where the action is. Rex, Good luck keeping the AFC West teams below 30 points. -
Without DaQuan (which then limits Oliver) and Von Miller, Frazier would have been insane to play play man on a snowy, sloppy field with no pass rush . Cinci WRs (any WRs in fact) would have been open all day. Guess the D was pretty much screwed that day by the weather, a weakened secondary and not having the two FAs they got specifically for that game. Sounds like excuses, but backups kind of suck in today's NFL. Let's see how they play it back in 2023. I just wanna see my team with the guys they blew their salary cap on (Hyde, Miller, Jones, White) actually playing in the f ing game at 100%.

I was at the game in the Meadowlands... Jets handled the Bills pretty well with Wilson playing just decently. Carr is better than that. No idea how they fit him under the cap, but ...
-
Probably Jets. Makes too much sense. They would need to do a lot to get under the cap, but probably worth doing. The rest of that roster is too good to waste. AFC East will be the most competitive division in the NFL without question if this happens

Bills need to hit on picks to have a chance
ProcessTruster replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
a full 3+ weeks after the fact and this board still sees the sky falling. new record for longevity. impressive. -
Resigning Crowder back for $1.5-2m solves this. His injury was devastating; he was really being counted on to take over the slot. He can be the Y. Done. Or Beas, bc Josh trusts him and he can be acquired cheap and he is healthy. Think Welker in his final years. Still works. Draft the Z this year. Outside quicks and separation. Diggs will be doubled until this is solved. Also, provide competition for Gabe , who they won't be offering another contract to in all likelihood. Not a big fan of mock drafts, but those mocking Jordan Addison to the Bills for the Z make ton of sense. The owner will be pre occupied with his wife's recovery for the foreseeable future (as he should be), so this franchise is in McBeane's hands whether the fan base likes it or not. They are 55 and 21 over the past 4 years so Pegs ain't messing with that.

Bills need to hit on picks to have a chance
ProcessTruster replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wrong. Bills need to be healthy (physically and mentally) for the last half dozen games to have a chance. Hell they had a teammate f-ing die on the field right in front of them. They have the roster and the playmakers, and will of course draft O Line and WR this year and back off the defense emphasis (bc defense doesn't matter against the best teams) but hell, the key guys just can't get or stay on the f ing field. eg, the Crowder signing was inspired, and he looked great early, but he goes and breaks his ankle. gone. Can't fix that in - season. They go all in with Von; brilliant; but ooops... gone... can't fix that in-season. DaQuan pulls up lame for the most important game of the season and thereby takes Oliver out of the game as well. Can't fix that in-game. Losing Daboll was devastating... can't fix that in one season with a 1st year OC. Dorsey will be better in yr 2, just as Daboll was. Can't beat the best with 2nd stringers at vital positions, 1st yr OC in a league where offense is everything; leading the league in turnovers and guys laying on their deathbed. Winning 14 out of 18 games was quite an accomplishment. Sorry, there are no single factor silver bullets in the NFL. Lots of factors need to break right to have a championship season in a single elimination tournament format. -
this is why I say stick to the process of upgrading the roster every year, don't get into cap trouble with any particular player, scout and draft well and expect to have FA departures (eg. Edmunds, Poyer) replaced by solid draft choices ... one year the bounces and injuries will go your way . Either team could have easily won that game and it turns out the refs won it. So just take care of your own business and you'll get through the tournament one year or more.
-
yeah, hopefully the philly police are ready for a rough night. they got robbed
-
Yeah, great game until the refs f 'd it up in the last minutes ,... unbelievable.
-
I just don't see him getting any team to the promised land. Just don't. Win a lot of games, big flashy stuff, but he puts you in cap h-ll, destroys your draft board for years. Cardinals should go for him. Put the entire running QB dumpster fire in one franchise. Kyler, Lamar and 51 XFLers and go for the big tankapotomus.
-
Agreed. After 20 years of suck, they are competitive in every game, likely to win 3 out of 4 ... as long as McBeanes focus on roster improvement and avoid the shiny objects, this will continue for the next 10+ years. If I can have this, plus an extended Patriots drought, I am good with that... plus they'll be in the SB hunt every year.

two words. Heath Farwell. McDermott gets Coach of the Year forever for the restraint of not throwing that incompetent under the bus for that magnificent screw up.

Locked on Bills, but now its full of dull, horrible ads making it no different than any other media. Content wrapped around an equal amount of horrible ads. You get what you pay for I guess.

Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...
ProcessTruster replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree with Vegas. Money talks. Crybaby fans walk. A healthy Bills roster goes a lot farther than they did this year. Eagles had basically no injuries this year other than Hurts for a couple games that didn't matter. -
How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
ProcessTruster replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stay f ing healthy, just as the Eagles did this year. -

Get into the playoffs and above all, have a healthy roster for the playoffs. I'm still waiting to see Miller, Groot, Jones and Oliver on the field at the same time. Happened once or twice last year and it was really strong. Beane got it right last year, but the guys couldn't stay on the field. -
pretty sure OL is where Beane is going #1, so no worries there. DL #2 if one grades out at 54. Between Gabe, Beas, Crowder and Shakir, Y and Z WRs will be sorted out, IMO. WR #3 pick maybe, or another OL. Plenty of guys coming back to get WR figured out. No real FA signings as there is no $$. Pray that Von comes back strong and fast as a ton of cap $$ stuck there.
-
13-4 . So many key guys who were out this year coming back, added to the existing base of talent, plus another solid Beane draft, I really don't see why not.
