Both starting safeties out Pittsburgh should be taking those shots down field. Some weak Sauce 😁 rubbed off on that long one

Devante has to be thinking so this is what it means to play for the Jets... Meanwhile back in Buffalo Cooper is thinking so this is what it is like playing for the Bills with a QB like Allen. I hope Cooper makes the most of his opportunity
-
Hall reminds me a lot of our Ray Davis, same soft hands and ability to run through tackles and burst. A bit more top-end speed, but Davis was a nice find where the Bills took him
-
Beanie can play.
-
Yep...normally if a DB is just grabbing and wagging his arms across the front of a receiver with his back to the QB they get the DPI. Sauce has gotten a lot of slack from the league

I know right???? Where was the red flag was in the air call? We get some of the strangest calls against us.

Yep... Basham and a 7th for a 6th rounder. -

And where is Boogie Basham?? That one hurts...Beane whiffed really badly there, but he is not known for taking OL high. He did move up to get Ford who really struggled for us. I like Beane, but there have been some misses. -

I agree he did not have control, but he was getting mugged by that DB who was dragging down the front neck hole of his shoulder pads. Thought at least we would have gotten a DPI in the EZ. -

Yeah did not catch that. Probably gives up a bit in coverage, but like some of the physicality and getting off blocks. Have been worried that if someone sneezed on him he would get injured. Just glad to see him getting reps and staying healthy. We lose LBs all the time in this D so folks should be happy to see the depth guys getting more reps early. -

Glad that Spector is finally healthy and had so many starting reps earlier this season. Bernard is a great player, but not as much of a drop off now when Baylon steps on the field. -

I dunno about this defense Soft against such a bad offense, giving up 3rd down conversions left and right. Can't defend the flats, but have been opportunistic and have stiffened up in the red zone when needed They drive me nuts and I would like to see a bit more press to stop those dink and dunk plays, but know that is not our MO with the DBs we have outside of Elam. They play a lot better when we get the lead, as their scheme leans towards playing light boxes. Brady figured something out, been pretty unstoppable on offense. -
It was clear all game long to anyone who understands defense that Rogers was orders of magnitude worse completing any throws when pressured from the pocket. The Jets were trying to dink and dunk to get the ball out of his hands faster and knowing it was pass the defense was starting to feed and shut them down. So our defensive geniuses decided to break what was working and rush 2. Nowhere is that the right decision...giving Rogers all the time in the world for a 50/50 shot at the end zone and what's worse is you know how the officiating was going...you set yourself up for a very real possibility of a PI in the EZ setting them up on the doorstep. Just dumb, and we need smarter coaching on the defensive side of the ball and some semblance of those coaches having a feel for the game script so they don't do stupid things to hurt the team.

Gag... just too much officiating. Feels like a few years back when games just got unwatchable. -
O'Cyrus Torrence.....He just hasn't taken that next step...
WideNine replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another reason why our team should not abandon the run as run blocking is more of a strength of Torrence whereas pass pro was his weakness coming into the league. That is not to say he will not improve, just that it is a known area that needs improvement that defenses will exploit until he does. From one of several draft profiles re: weaknesses. Not that far off... "Can be susceptible to speed rushers. Has only good quickness off the snap and doesn't possess the acceleration to corral defenders once they cross his face Often gets too high in his sets, sacrificing some of his power, and Torrence doesn’t always show great coordination between his upper and lower body when sliding back in pass protection. Torrence has good overall vision, however, he sometimes misses the block in a scrum. Sometimes a little (slow) to pick up the blitz He’s often too mechanical as a pass protector, oversetting and getting beat inside" -

I have vented enough on the Ravens game. I knew it was a bad matchup going in so just move on, turn the page, different opponent, different strategy. Hoping my Bills bounce back and have a redemption game to get back on track with a great game plan that is well executed. Looking for the OL and DL to shine this game. It starts up front, always has. -

Nice Joe. I noticed those wham blocks and our DTs either getting blown off or riden past the plays over and over. They kept going after it like it was a predominantly passing offense and they needed a penetrating style of rush to affect the passer. Wrong plan for the wrong opponent. Needed the right box count and disciplined rush contain strategy to keep Lamar and Henry hemmed in and they did neither. That is on the coaches not the players. I hope they learn and grow from this. -

I agree. They went one dimensional like they were chasing a 3 score lead in the first half and the Ravens were able to stack the line, pin their ears back, and just rush Allen. The net result was a lot of 3 and outs and just putting your defense that is reelng back on the field and Allen did not have any time in the pocket. They gave up on that way too early and I would have featured more gap with Davis as they had too much sideline to sideline speed for those zone runs. Davis breaks through that stacked box there is a lot of empty in front of him...Cook too. -

Honestly I saw Ed in a head lock from behind and then just drug away from Lamar from behind by the back collar and jersey... No call on Baltimore's interior line. His jersey is probably a few sizes bigger now. Yet Edwards drew the hanky on a hold (which was a legit hold). I am not a fan of holding calls on interior linemen but if you are going to call it, call it both ways. Our boys were not completely absent up front, but when Henry or Hill got past them they were running by or over our back 7. -

Noticed that with Cam too. Like he closes his eyes and launches himself. Babich put him in the right place to stop those little outlet passes, but he was slow to get to his spot and whiffed a lot. Not a lot of help behind him so those misses turned into chunk plays. We need to get our starters back healthy and let some of the young guys bake a bit more and depth guys go back to those spot duty roles. Babich and Brady need to figure out how they were both taken to the wood shed as you know Houston will try some of the same things. Probably more so Brady as the Texans don't present the same offensive problems as Baltimore's Henry and Lamar, but this team has a history of getting into slumps, we need to bounce back quickly. -

This. We have a lot of new faces and depth guys playing starting roles. OC and DC coaching staff did them no favors with this uninspired game plan that put them behind the 8 ball from the start. Terrible gadget play call by Brady just when the team was starting to string positive yards together and the defense was getting some stops. Wrong place, wrong time, so many Raven players crowding the line it was a super risky thing to try that weird flea flicker play at that spot on the field and nearly got Allen killed. Completely swung the momentum. Maybe something where Allen should have checked out of that too when he saw they were playing so many in the box, but any chance we had was buried there The young guys will learn, we will get our starters back and some guys that showed why they are depth players will go back to those roles. -

He is a rookie who is playing like a rookie... He is a bit wide-eyed right now and the game is a bit too big for him. He probably makes that catch 9 out of 10 times in practice sans fighting the ball. Some draft picks just need more time to let the game come to them and I hope this motivates him to work hard on his routes and technique so that catch is automatic.
