Got a link to the poll? I’d be interested to see how Allen is not in the same tier as Mahomes and Burrow in terms of avoiding… in fact, Josh is like Lamar but with polished passing; you have to game plan consistently against QB designed runs. The other two? Not so much, if rarely, are they running the ball. Come on bro… play design is a huge component to RAC. There’s a reason Philly under Reid were up there in RAC yards. KC is no different. Rivers? Definitely a Hall of Famer on the basis of statistics. Not a first ballot but deserving nonetheless.

That was my first thought too… hindsight is something but so is coaching situation. I don’t think Mahomes becomes who he is with the coaching Allen had his first few years; Daboll would have had him play well however. Certainly capable but was asked to do less with more where conversely Josh was asked to do more with less.
-
Think he has the capability to be in the 70/1000/8 ball park, just not this year. Like the past few years prior I’m going to hang my hat on Stef being the only 1000 yard receiver. In short, 55/600/5 is my safe bet for him

August 3rd practice ticket available
BBFL replied to Wheels Not So Golden Now's topic in The Stadium Wall
How much? -
Don’t think it’s premature. If he plays out the contract on par with last year it’s a shoe-in IMO
-
No way the Steelers make that move after shelling out for that Highsmith kid. Add that to Watt’s contract, the depth in the off-season of Golden and drafting Herbig. Think Dallas, Jacksonville or Indy could be better shouts for possible destinations. Possibly even Carolina..

Jaguars starting LT Cam Robinson gets only 4 games suspended for PEDs
BBFL replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is he still able to practice and attend team activities or is the suspension of this nature from team facilities and activities on top of games? -
Josh Allen and the next Steps we need him to make to be the best.
BBFL replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was one thing I liked about Daboll. He was never afraid to try and reel Josh in when the game was getting out of hand or had the potential for the wheels to come off. When Josh is on, it’s him or Pat for the best in the league. The adage of “let the game come to him” fits Josh best. When he lets that happen it’s absolutely terrifying how he can decimate a team in a calm and collected manner. MVP. -
How many coaches have not made the Super Bowl? Well if you go by the numbers… 518 HC’s in the history of the NFL with 73 making appearances in the big one… that leaves 445. Of that I have no doubt there are numerous really good head coaches Can’t knock you for trying to see the silver lining. It’s admirable and I don’t disagree that Sean is a good coach. He is. Undoubtably. I just feel they should have seen what this year gives the franchise before another extension. Shottenheimer. Chuck Knox. John Fox. Dennis Green. Norv Turner just to name a few who were great HCs that never got it done. Does it matter with the extensions? Not really. There’s plenty of turnover at the drop of a hat but I fear for our team that he turns into Chuck Knox and falls short of getting to the doorstep. A win is a win in the playoffs, yes. One and only one of his 4 P/O wins were convincing when Buffalo were clearly the superior talent. This team has had blunders and no shows. Something, at least to my experience, comes from coaching when it is a repeat occurrence.
-
But the failures in the playoffs have been catastrophic… Absolute blow out in the AFCC followed up by a head scratching 13 seconds loss to the Chiefs again the following season… Now the addition of a no show against the Bengals… Personally would have liked to see the extensions next year if the results are different. At least for McDermott.

“On the Dak train as well…? Got to unfollow that team bro…”
-
Is Tannehill not playing for Titans or what? I know they had a horrible season but they are only one year removed from the AFC #1 Seed and haven’t had that much roster turnover… AJ Brown trade is the only head scratcher or loss of top end talent. Burks and Okonkwu don’t look half bad and if they do end up landing Hopkins, they’re easily a credible shout for that division.
-
I think we are the best team and sit atop the division but from an unbiased fan of the sport standpoint, the other teams aren’t that far behind going into this season; on paper. Every team isn’t that bad or devoid of talent and probably has their chance to duke it out and make most games in their schedule competitive. Bills > Fish > Jets > Cheats Might be 2a/2b for that second spot; toss up between NYJ & MIA.

Hall / Izzy / Carter / Knight / Dye (USC/Oregon) with Cook in the mix? That’s a lot of talent to evaluate, lose or try to keep. -
Speculation: Could an extension for Gabe Davis be coming too?
BBFL replied to akcash's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Hopkins, think he’s a great talent but need a bit of a friendly contract and I honestly don’t think this unit is in bad shape with the addition of Kincaid. Plus with Oliver’s extension and the signing of Floyd I don’t see them kicking any cash down the line unless it’s Dawkins. There’s a lot of potential key players; whether role or rotational, who will be Free Agents these next 2 years. With Josh’s contract, Center and both Tackle spots a question mark in that time frame, going to need to inject money to one of those which won’t be cheap. Be it new tackle/s, Dawkins, Brown or a new Center (can’t see Morse lasting), might as well get a potential generational talent on the cheap for a cost controlled 4/5 years to pair with Diggs tail end of his career. On another note, 2026 looks to be just as an expensive off-season. Just my 2¢ -

Wasn’t that much really, think we only moved up 4/5 spots. Watkins was ridiculous in college and really improperly used for spells here. Don’t know why it didn’t work out for such a talented prospect. Kid was special in college… even if it was a lot of underneath and YAC production. -

BBFL replied to akcash's topic in The Stadium Wall
Couple of firsts, obviously. Maybe a player also. We’ve seen before where consensus top 10 prospects from the last year have a drop in value due to a myriad of things; injury, lack of production, off the field issues. Anything can happen. Will the latter two happen with his background and track record? Doubtful. So injury is the most likely to cause him to drop down boards. You also have to factor in needs and risers throughout the year. May be possible he ends up going in the 10 to 20 range. Wouldn’t be too hard to jump into those spots. Let’s just hope the wheels don’t fall off this year and we are picking in the ball park of 20 anyway 😂 Either way, as it would be projected, it will take some decent capital to get to an area where we can pick him. Unless someone in the room develops into a serious weapon opposite Diggs, might as well swing for the fences whilst Josh is here. Just feel this guy is on par with Julio Jones/AJ Green of recent years. -

Harrison Jr. Tank? No. Give up the capital or assets to get him? Yes. -

Your idea of numbers is off. Look, you are enamored with Beane, that’s cool. But this isn’t an attack on him for filling a position a year earlier that is likely to become a problem. It’s how he’s done it. Your statement of “he isn’t even paid in the top half of #1 DTs” is wild. Because he is precisely paid in the top half when it comes to guarantees in the contract he signed. So I’m not seeing how you come to that conclusion. Secondly, please don’t disparage my belief that he should be “changing games regularly”. He should. Without question. Especially as in your post you believe him to be the #1 DT on this team… Top 10 draft pick. #6 in guaranteed salary with this new contract. Pretty simple there brother… they view/ed him as a game changer talent to draft him that high and have paid him so. Yet statistics show he has a tendency to disappear when it matters. Again, don’t disparage my post because you disagree. Especially when your tee-off statement is inaccurate.
-
Hence my point about the biggest moments. He’s a good player, not knocking or throwing shade his way. But from financial and draft capital stand points, he’s not meeting expectations. At least to me.
-
For drafted position and contract there absolutely should be an expectation for him to be changing game’s regularly. No one is asking for ludicrous stat lines just consistency. 6-8 sacks a year would be great.
-
I don’t know man. It just doesn’t seem like he shows up in the biggest moments needed. Especially from a pass rushing perspective.
