You know what, now is a good time to spill the beans on what I was told last year - In the home Patriots game, Diggs chose to sit out the first drive of the 2nd half because he was upset with Allen's play in the 1st half. It wasn't an injury or part of the game plan. He decided to screw over his team and sit out a drive because he couldn't get over himself.
I suspect other stories like this will come out in the coming days. A couple aren't mine to tell. Guy was a total headcase and a major distraction in more ways than one.
If that’s the case then obviously a lot of the times he stood on the sidelines at key moments is telling.
Thank you for sharing but thank you more for not tainting and throwing shade to a player who is on our team. Respect to you!

Anyone who doesn't believe they at least vetted this idea with Josh first is kidding himself...
Beane has a plan and keeping his golden boy happy is a big part of that.
I’m definitely kidding myself then.

This trade doesn't happen unless Allen tells Beane he's good with it.
I don’t think Josh signs off on this at all. That’s just me though. -

For the record, I like the move. Enough is enough.
Has this new era of WRs shown you all nothing? Do you relaize the kind of numbers a Garrett Wilson or Chris Olave would be putting up with Josh Allen at QB?
I'm a Brandon Beane fan. He gets it.
That’s a fair point. Think it hurts because he’s been so productive and integral to the success we’ve had with Josh. However, those guys are also playing on bad teams where they’ve been forced to pass. A lot. Not taking anything away from their talent but numbers have definitely been padded.

Tyreek Hill was worth 2x 1sts. Diggs is worth a 2025 2nd? Ouch
Eh. Tyreek is more valuable IMO. Definitely thought they’d at least get a first or second without giving up anything other than Diggs.
Surprised it wasn’t a straight trade.
Worst part about it all is you’ve just given a second year QB, in the same conference, who blew the doors off the league a valuable weapon underneath… Texans will be a problem this season unfortunately.

It’s a tough reality but can’t ignore how Diggs disappeared last season. Unfortunately it’s time to move on.
Yes, definitely has been underwhelming in the playoffs if you remove the Miami game.
Would have liked to move on next year in the event there’s someone in place to take his position. Better hope the guys who’ve been in the league; Samuel/Shakir/Hollins show up.
Feel that King Cade showing up helped this trade not feel as bad to them more than the acquisitions made this off-season.
Top player and obvious fan fav’ is always tough to see moved.

Trading up for a WR?
Can’t really be any other option…Sounds like they didn’t feel they had the ammunition to move into the range they were wanting so made a move to pick up extra. Should have traded Cooks instead. I’d rather see another RB than get rid of the guy who’s been Josh’s crutch for several seasons.
At a loss for words really.

JFC.
Not good. This could be a problem. Is Curtis Samuel really filling that role?

Depends. If you view it in cap dollars you’re trading for about $20 million in cap space per year for 5 years. So those picks you lose can be replaced by veterans in free agency.
So the question is do you go grab someone you feel is an instant WR1 and game changer. Or do you use all the picks on 2nd round talents and try to develop a game changer?
If there was only a handful of guys, sure. That was kinda my point about those 2 years of drafts. The talent level from two years doesn’t equate to the level in this singular one IMO.Unless it’s MHJ available @ 5, trade up, if that’s what they want, and get someone else without the sacrifice of potentially 2 drafts.
For MHJ though, yes. You grab the instant #1 game changing WR and save the 4th-7th rounders to try and develop.

Exactly. My bank account has $26.34 in it and you would be amazed at the ***** I pull!
That finances are almost no toilet paper level. Pulling sh— literally. -

Ain’t no way. That’s a lot of future assets you’re giving up. If it goes QB’s 1 through 4 and MHJ is there, entertain it but don’t give up more than the Julio Jones trade was…Which ended up picks 27, 59, 124 and a first and fourth the following year.
This year it would be 28, 60, 128 & 2025 first and fourth rounders.
Tough position as the 2011 & 2012 drafts combined didn’t have as much talent as this one does on its own. Remove AJ Green and Julio, the draft at that position was pretty poor.

Sadly, money equals power. A lot of people who have money think the rules don’t apply to them and technically to some extent they are right. However, when you’re in an even more exclusive position; the owner of a billion dollar entity, I’m sure more often than not they believe there is no exception to what they can or cannot do.

The one I find fascinating is the Seahawks haven’t drafted a QB in the first two rounds in over 30 years. Really?
10 minutes ago, MJS said:The Saints are "NA" for QB, which I guess means they haven't drafted one in the first two rounds since 1980? That's pretty crazy. They got Drew Brees in free agency.
Yeah, the Saints is more peculiar to me given they went 20 years frominception with no more than 8 wins in a season then went 13 seasons from the early 90’s to Brees with middling success out with the year they acquired Joe Horn.
Nearly 60 seasons without a single QB in the first 2 rounds is exactly like the chart suggests… a rare and isolated event.
5 draft years since the AFL/NFL merger has a QB not been drafted in the first round. 3 of those 5 had a QB drafted in the 2nd rounds… The 1974 had Danny White drafted with the very first pick in the 3rd. So just missing out from it being 4. That’s 2 drafts in the history since the merger that haven’t had a QB drafted in the first two rounds.

Insensitive then. Y'all could easily post a video of an interception or something. He was mocked for the the half time quit and I get it but there's a time and a place. Maybe the guys head wasn't in the right place
He was mocked because he chose not to support the team and left at half time. Could have easily just been a case of him saying to McD that he was done and didn’t want to play anymore and supported the team and sport from the sideline for a further 30 more minutes.
His head obviously wasn’t in the right place and I don’t think and hope no one makes fun of that aspect.
Whats the worst that would have happened if he said that? They fire him after the game when he’s already done?

Is he getting some mopping sauce?

My marriage is on the rocks…
I was asked at 7:30:
“Isn’t there a guy on your football team called Josh Allen…?”
”Yeah, that’s our guy. Why? Have his pants split again?”
”Hes been in an accident and has passed away…”
Never thought my heart would sink so fast. Drought PTSD.
“April Fools!”
😐😑

Very cool chart. Seems like nearly all teams have a very good spread over the past 6 or 7 years of what they’re drafting.
Rams look to be the only the real outlier.
-
Your first kick to make since High School? 64 yarder for a game winner? That’s impressive alone.
Is his new moniker going to be the Kick God?

If it was a suicide what a stupid thing to post
Stupid, why? I mean that’s actually one of the things he’s known for more than anything else sadly… Vernon was on an interview the other week talking about life after football and this was brought up to him. Got to live with the choices that you make whether they follow you around or not.
Don’t think there’s anything bad in posting it. Isn’t distasteful revisit by Shady or Tre. Still comes across as light hearted and in good jest.

Diggs traded to Texans for picks

100% they’re taking a WR. Seems like there’s little other option. My concern isn’t that, my concern is immediately replacing the production that’s being sent out the door.
Love him or hate him, over the course of a whole season he far and above facilitated the QB more than the guys we have on the books right now.
Hope whoever this rookie is that they are the real deal.
