  1. Come on man. Matt Ryan was legit. Definitely a quality starter for a while in the league.
  2. If we had Wildgoose on the team still and draft Storm Duck would it be considered Fowl play?
  3. Dude if they got Kinchens, Legette, Sweat, McKinley and Roman Wilson then there would be no excuses for that defense. All 3 of those defenders were rock solid in college. Here’s hoping! 🤞
  4. Pretty sure someone posted a recipe from a KC cookbook for this… 🤔
  5. Not a rock song but I’d go with Megadeath’s “Symphony of Destruction” Sums up the Mahomes success and Bills failures… ”You take a mortal man… And put him in control… Watch him become a God… Watch people’s heads roll… Just like the Pied Piper, led rats through the streets. We dance like the marionettes swaying to the symphony of destruction… … … The earth starts to rumbles, world powers fall… Warring for the heavens (Lombardi)…. A peaceful man stands tall (Josh)…”
  6. I posted this earlier in the thread but player mistakes are something overlooked. Especially Nick Bosa… How this guy is getting a pass for his play on the final drive to lose the game is insane. Especially, again, for the highest paid defensive player in NFL history @ $34m a year. Watch that drive and focus on him. Literally did everything wrong and opposite to how he played the full regulation.
  7. When you intimidate your opponents skill players by trying to take off their head every time they touch the ball like Wagner, Thomas and Bam-Bam (one of my fav players of recent years) then you’re going to have penalties. That overly aggressive style can have its benefit to success.
  8. You forgot to add a pinch of luck on top of that recipe…
  9. Um, Mahomes was in the same draft. Mitch went #3, CMC #9 and then him @ #10. Trubisky wasn’t great his first season but he wasn’t bad the next 2 either. He did after all take them to the P/Os where the lost to Pinero’s double doink… At least there was a shimmer of success with him. They needed a QB but I still don’t know how you choose Mitchell because of 1 year of success collegiately over Mahomes who killed it his final 2 at Texas Tech. The kid lead the nation in pretty much all QB statistics that final year there… The only knock was it didn’t translate to wins for the program. 🤷‍♂️
  10. DJ Manga… Sounds like an Ibiza acid house Disc Jockey name. I’m all IN.
  11. Murphy and Worthy would be a great combo a first picks going by value where you’re picking, especially with that AZ trade to drop from 28.
  12. You’re right. He was, don’t know what I had in my head. Maybe that they switched Honey Badger for him. Chris Jones is the guy 100% but the players along that line with him are a little worse than previous SB teams. That quartet gives him a little more time. Still amazing that, like Kelce, he’s left wide open or unblocked on so many plays. If there’s one guy you have to pay attention to on that line it is Jones and only Jones.
  13. If the Ravens showed up, yes. They didn’t. Kinda like the CFB complaints with FSU playing Georgia over OSU… The story line is better and more glamours for Harbaugh’s return and links to the team KC just beat in the SB. If you don’t pick the Chargers then put Stroud and the Texans in it.
  14. Yeah but everybody said Mahomes was going to drop off statistically without Tyreek… Whilst he did slightly it wasn’t as bad as anticipated and they’ve come away with back to back Lombardi’s since. I’ll hold my breath on them having a rough time in that division for now. Denver is Denver… a mess on the QB situation with no picks after trading for Wilson and Payton. Oakland, huge QB questions there as well. Solid team but the QB wins it. That leaves San Diego. They need to retool that OLine and secondary, maybe look to bring in a RB as Ekeler’s heavy useage may be catching up on him. Herbert is great but he needs a run game of some sort to accentuate him to his best capabilities. Maybe they can acquire Derrick Henry? Just not sold on them because of a HC hire… They’re the NFL’s prince who’s promised.
  15. Someone said Chargers @ Chiefs to open their week due to the Harbaugh hire. I can see that now probably being the one with them winning it. Reigning SB winners hosting the reigning National Champion coach who’s former team he coached you just bounced to end the season… Pretty spicy storyline for Jim’s return to the NFL.
  16. If you’re scheduling the NFL season so a billionaire musician can see her boyfriend then serious questions need to be asked and potential conspiracies about the alignment of that subject this season taken a bit more serious…
  17. Isn’t that the wildest thing? The offense is undeniably worse without Tyreek but they still come away with back to back SBs… 🤯
  18. I missed $1,875 due to SF kicking a FG 12 seconds into the 2nd… Had 0-3 on the first quarter for yesterday. 🥺
  19. Yeah man, that was a foreign concept when I first moved to this country but both companies I’ve worked for played it this way… I thought that was the consensus? Of the total buy-in pot; Final score was 40%. Half time 30% and quarters 1 & 3 were 15%. My current workplace does 25% for each quarter as it’s only a pool of no more than 10 guys @ a $750 buy in with 2 squares each containing multiple lines. The first one, that steel mill was a pool of 100 guys @ $100 buy in.
  20. Pretty much nailed it all. I’m not a huge sports talk enthusiast but they have their place to see the difference of perspectives which I always try to appreciate… Orlovsky said it best: “You kick the ball so you don’t give Mahomes and Reid 4 downs to work with”. Pretty simple but hindsight is always 20/20. If they hold KC to a FG then they go and drive the field for points then he comes away looking like a genius. He’s culpable for most of the blame as to why they lost however, I just got done watching the condensed version of the game and Nick Bosa played like absolute crap towards the end of the game there… 3rd &1 he overpursues and tackles no one lol… Pacheco is on the other hash mark getting stood up. The next play is 4th & 1 where he bites hard on the fake when Kelce is even flashing past him and doesn’t chip you?!?! instead of staying disciplined (which you would think to do after tackling the invisible ball carrier). He would have had to make Mahomes force it to Kelce who was smothered. On the same drive 2&7 from the SF 10 on a short field cover 4 he bails off contain to chase Pacheco on the dump whilst Kelce is literally sliding behind Taylor for the pass… The very next play he chases after the rusher leaving Mahomes a clear as day window to throw or run the ball for the TD. All of that from a guy who’s the highest paid defensive player in history who you’re paying an average of $34m a year… For that, he was an absolute let down.
  21. Not understanding the point you’re making… They didn’t. In that time frame I referenced all 5 were on 1st down or 2nd down w/ 10 or < …. 🤷‍♂️ CMC had 27 yards on 7 attempts in their first 3 drives. 19 total plays on them. That’s 36% of the plays being a run by CMC and you had success barring the fumble. Coupled that with a 3.8 YPC is the reason why it’s perplexing they went away from that. You talk about success and rankings et cetera but the stats in that game show they didn’t run on 2nd/3rd and long but we’re successful period when they chose to run. I like Shannahan but his choices directly led to keeping KC hanging around long enough. You lost your last SB appearance against the same by doing the same thing… Mostert ripped off a massive run on their penultimate drive which afterward he chose to make Jimmy G sling the ball 6 times in a row after that play… Turning the ball over on downs via a sack. Their final drive they had to throw the ball due to time constraints and ended up with an INT to ice it. Kyle’s a heck of a coach but there’s a lot of questions marks for his decisions on the field without even factoring the OT coin toss… Sorry but they blew it being up 10, not running the ball to try and burn some clock and giving Mahomes and the Chiefs some semblance of hope. 2019 season they were the #2 rushing team behind Baltimore but decided to lean on the pass in the biggest game of the season. 2023 season, #3 team in rushing with the league leader by 300 yards!!!! And again, with a lead they decided to lean on the pass to pull ahead. Mental. The stats for the year prove they were the most successful team in a 22 personnel running the ball against a heavy box so the excuse people say “they couldn’t run on KC” was bogus. See the point about the stats over the first 3 drives before the abandoned the run game.
  22. Sneed & McDuffie are just as vital to that unit as Chris Jones. The trade for Justin Reid and Mike Edwards was a huge hit for them too. Those 4 guys in that secondary is the bigger reason for success. Props to Veach as the LBs they’ve drafted are solid too.
  23. Absolutely. My son recently got me onto Twitch streaming, there’s some good conversational political shows but the main streamers on that platform perpetuate arrogance, obnoxiousness and an overwhelming showboating of their wealth and purchases. No different than the $3 billion dollars plowed into OnlyFans annually… Degeneracy is adored.
  24. Ways? What????? ST is about the only place we fall short. The defense was down to health in that AFC divisional. Out Bernard then losing Benford was killer. The offense is there if not better. The coaching is the difference and even the. A first year OC still did decent which in actuality tells me your offensive situation was ahead. Again, there is no ways to go. For a guy who preached about ST importance for all those years it certainly is a hinderance to Buffalos successes this year… Punting and kicking had some very forgettable performances.
  25. Depends on the personnel and situation. The fact that Wilks went all out when you have a studded front 4 is testament to that aggressiveness has to be your trait through and through and not something you periodically dip into or pull out the bag. You live and die by the aggression just as much as the soft shell passiveness. Finding a coaching balance is absolutely tough and more reason to stick to your identity so your players are more reliant on instincts come crunch time.
