3/4 LB is probably where he suits best.

Was more about the drop rate is pretty significant for a guy a lot of people are talking about. Things can change but again, for a guy his size you’d like to see him take advantage of the wingspan he has…. Yeah bro. They obviously know my allegiance and have only ever brought up Maybin once. Maybe my eyes started twitching with the glazed look over them that a Veteran displays when having flashbacks.

Live just outside Pittsburgh, all my co-workers are Penn State or Pitt Panthers alumni or followers… The Penn State guys aren’t that enamored with Chop and think he’s likely to underperform in the NFL. They believe that Isaac is the far superior player. They give credit to Chop, don’t get me wrong but I hear more about Isaac, their LBs Carter & Jacobs, and their secondary in Dixon, Reed and Hardy… These are guys who watch and attend every game, even the Blue-White.

I like Johnny Wilson’s frame but honestly if it wasn’t for Coleman that team would have struggled mightily. Wilson dropped a would be TD in every game I watched. Shouldn’t happen for a guy his size. I know the whole “body catching” thing can be overplayed but a guy with his reach should be using that wingspan to his absolute benefit. If these mocks are falling they way the draft does and WR is the pick it has to be Mitchell or Thomas Jr. IMO.

For Seattle’s 76&78 I ended up trading our 2nd and 3rd next year on top of the 4th 2025 from Washington to move up to 28. They moved up into around 2 twice: took Penix Jr. & Kam Kinchens… (Unrealistic for both teams to give up what they did but it a mock and figured they’d want to recoup some assists they traded. Also that Washington trade 36,67 & a 3rd the following year but they did move up and take Bo Nix 🤷♂️)

Oh, I thought you were implying that’s something they should do.
-
Yeah, they could but I don’t see why you enter the Mayfield race if that’s the idea. You could pick up Brissett (familiar to the franchise), Tannehill, Minshew, Darnold or Drew Lock if you’re looking for a guy to just sit in the seat until you feel the rookie is ready. All 5 of them should be significantly cheaper than Baker.

You know, I don’t want to revisit the Watkins/Mack scenario but the fact Mack is still performing at a high level to this day whilst we’ve still got questions at the defensive line and WR years later is an absolute slap in the face. If that happened again I don’t know what to tell you… Nightmare indeed. Mack and Watkins were elite in college. There isn’t really a guy of Mack’s caliber this year. If you pass on MHJ for a defensive player then you don’t deserve Josh.

I can’t see what avenue the Pats choose him over Mayo getting a guy for the future. Especially when they are sitting at #3 and can get one of the trio you mentioned. Plenty of cap space to build a team for whomever they draft. Throwing anywhere from $25m-35m on Baker would be a huge loss if they’re sitting in that position. While I get your thought process it isn’t the best option for that organization to give the keys to a guy who’s had ups and downs that found himself in the right situation last year.

Were those picks you traded to get to 36 or 40 part of the trade out of 28? What picks did you end up keeping?

Steelers are a good shout. Think he would do well there being in a situation where they are a run first team. Could actually be a killer scenario for him where he gets to take revenge on the Browns twice a year… Could be a sticking point for him to sign. Don’t think that supersedes the financial side of things though. Highest bidder wins IMO.

The NFL needs to have a league they can pool players they feel are too raw for the league to. Always wondered why they don’t have the Minor League in MLB, AHL in NHL and G-League in NBA… Thats probably out of the window as the infrastructure for all 32 teams to have an affiliate would be rough. Best case scenario is using the UFL now that the XFL has merged into that league. Would be nice if they had a partnership with the CFL too. You then keep “player rights” whilst they are tenured at a team.

Eh. He’s a spell back at best. His problem is the large chunks you see of him on the field is when Aaron Jones is injured. Guy just isn’t the lead back. If they don’t bring Ty back on another deal <$2m and you can get Dillon @ that price, I’d be all for it. Best option if neither is the case would be like you said: a very late pick or an UFA.

Probably right but Purdy didn’t play bad in that game and certainly wasn’t the reason they blew that game and came out the losing side. Don’t think they move on from him TBH. He’s a team favorite and is a vastly cheaper alternative, something SF desperately have to keep under center if they’re going to make a run at it again with the contracts on that team. Losing Greenlaw and not having Hufunga back there hurt them.

If the Pats and Jets beat us with rough QB play I’d rather he stays out of the division. Guy looked pretty competent and played very well last season. That could be a flash in the pan year but he’s certainly shown the substance to be a starter in this league. A competent one who can win games at that. Feel there will be several teams reaching out to his agent for his services, those two you mentioned would have to be included.

Freaking awesome. Here’s hoping!

Salary cap question, Leonard Floyd’s dead cap

Irrespective of whether you want them back or not. You have holes that need filled. You need $ to fill those holes… -
We lost a Bills fan this past weekend and 4 kids lost their father

Getting very sad about all the GoFundMe’s I’m having to donate to Bills fans and their families this year… This is the 5th in 2024 alone. 😞 -
Salary cap question, Leonard Floyd’s dead cap

Disagree. On a “regular” year, maybe. When you have as many FAs as we do this off-season with little talent overall I’d say you want to save as much money as you can. Each to their own I guess. -
Is it time to grow concerned about Greg Rousseau?

Maxx Crosby is a freaking dog. Absolutely one of my favorite defenders in the league. Relentless 24/7. Gives 100%, 100% of the time. -
Seeing Cowing skyrocket in these mocks which usually only happens after the combine for players. Towards seasons end he was in the 150-200 range at best. He’s up to the 50’s in some mocks now.

Salary cap question, Leonard Floyd’s dead cap

Agreed. But kicking the can down the road on 1 year deals is moronic IMO. Even more if you aren’t able to extend or resign the player on that contract.
