  1. So ideally where, in a perfect setting, would you be taking space from? Looking at the contracts for the next few years I concur that tight is the appropriate phrase. Not much wiggle room without rearranging numbers that sit atop of the pile.
  2. There is absolutely no way they trade out of that spot now they are there. You need a QB. Whether you get the wrong or right one @ 4/5/6/7 etc. is at the decision of other teams and how the draft falls. They are guaranteed to have the pick for franchise QB in their own control. If, idiotically, they trade out of that just for assets then why trade to 1 to begin with just to have a potential crapshoot? You’ve given up one of the few proven “assets” the team actually had in Moore…
  3. Steeler fans absolute hate Edmunds. He’s honestly similar to ours… One they feel over-drafted and under-productive. If Edmunds walks and you go the option of a FA Safety/DB to fill the shoes of Poyer you would think CGJ or JB3 would be a target. Doubt we offer them the kind of money they will fetch though as it’s going to probably be in line with Minkah/Derwin/Marcus Williams @ 4-5yrs/70m+… Nasir Adderly (LAC), Mike Edwards (TB) and Will Harris (DET) are all intriguing options available on the market to fill Poyer’s role. Maybe Julian Love (NYG) and Thornhill (KC) too? This year seems to have a decent amount of solid players who you won’t have to break the bank for and could be a great pairing with Hyde whilst not being a weak link if, heavens forbid, Micah gets injured again.
  4. Yes, he got a ring. Was integral part of that SB season before getting hurt. I believe OBJ was signed because Woods was done for the year. Think that Championship holds more weight for him. “Home town pro football team”, in his home state… home county in fact. So you got it right on the head, payday was the right move.
  5. You don’t think they can turn it around and creep into the P/O’s by capturing a division title? Tennessee is in literal liquidation; weird why they wouldn’t try and ship a few of these cuts into picks seeing as they only have 5 come April (I believe). Indy? Yikes! What you got going on there?! Team was poised to compete the past few years but bad decisions at QB still lead them down that rabbit hole. Jacksonville are coming off a reasonable 9-8 record from 3-14 the year before. One which they got hot against underwhelming teams to round out their year. Who knows what you’re getting next year. They have the cap space, the draft ammo and potentially a coach players will be willing to play for. With that division as it stands… Why not just winning period but taking the division? EDIT: They also have the third easiest schedule for 2023-24 @ .431 OW%
  6. Man… #28… He looks Cooked. 👀
  7. So you’re saying Gabe, during the offseason, cannot be a freelance surgeon who moonlights as a Lyft or Uber driver whilst doing his own taxes at the end of each fiscal year??? 🤔
  8. Not particularly. Moton & Ekwonu are the only decent O Linemen they have who are worth anything IMO. They are not going to trade either for 3-5 rounders.
  9. Can’t disagree. It was the right move. I still think he can become the receiver we all projected after that game. Logically it’s going to be tough to see him doing that here long term on team friendly financials. He is absolutely a starter in the league, a reasonable if not solid #2, I just feel if you can get some value in a deal that brings in another rookie wage on the books it may work out better long term. He’s going to get a reasonable contract, especially if he repeats last (“underwhelming”) season numbers. The bigger question that determines how valuable he is going into this season is what production will you get if you ballpark 100 targets to Shakir, Knox or any other FA / prize rookie you draft….? Do you walk away with 50/850/6+ at a minimum?
  10. 100% agreement. Dawkins and White are the only viable big cap hit candidates. Really don’t see Milano being restructured; if anything he warrants more money via an extension and we’ll with Diggs being restructured just 2 years ago I find that will be a tough task to ask again. Had we made a Super Bowl or won a Lombardi? Totally different.
  11. And what a game it was! Let’s say he does end up getting traded or not making a second contract… what would someone have offered after that game?! 20/20… 😔
  12. With Gabe in the final year of his contract and set to be FA, if indeed he seems to be at his absolute best for this Bills by the FO then surely the best value he’s going to have in a trade is now. Have to believe his production can be replicated by a FA acquisition or a draft prospect. Think Gabe can definitely do better but the question becomes financial numbers for next year if he does ascend into the production that we all had envisioned going into this season… Maybe a trade is the best thing for both parties. Gabe will produce on the Giants which will lead to a contract they can likely offer. If Chase Claypool warranted a 2nd rounder then Gabe is at absolute worst a 3rd round pick. Extend now or trade?
  13. Looking at the last trade of the #1 pick (2016) it would seem of similar value when including Moore into the compensation. But agreed, with the whole “league collusion” saga around Lamar, several teams looking to upgrade at QB or completely start fresh, a stronger haul could probably be had. Compliments to the Bears as they get a target for Fields that has proven himself to pair with Mooney, Kmet and Claypool. Gives them the flexibility to bolster their team than reach for positional need come April. Thank you for your effort and relay on his value per charting. 👍
  14. Share the same conclusion. I’m guessing Moore is easily weighted as equal to first, if not second round value then…?
  15. Think that would be a quality pickup for them. Sadly.
  16. The off-season should be no other team than our own. A balanced offensive unit that still relies on Josh. Trying to play catch up did not get us to where we are at. Letting Josh, well… Josh is what has. In fact, one could say focusing on the Chiefs last off-season is part of what went wrong this year. Lack of quality depth all around by chucking money at a (yes HOF) defensive end who is playing in part of a heavy rotated unit. With the amount of $ and draft capital invested in that defensive line you would think there would be results to show. At best, they were below average when Von went down. Absolutely abysmal in the Playoffs.
  17. Interesting that they didn’t have any draft interviews with more Linebackers. With Edmunds seemingly out the door, one would think they would have talked to more than one prospect during the event. Especially with several “McDermott Character” players who attended both the Combine and Senior Bowl; Cam Jones - Indiana DeMarvion Overshown - Texas (Even more curious he wasn’t at the Dinner with Bijan and Roschan) Ivan Pace - Cincinnati Daiyan Henley - Washington St. SirVocea Dennis - Pitt’ Aubrey Miller Jr. - Jackson St. Dorian Williams - Tulane DJ Johnson - Oregon Jack Campbell - Iowa (did not participate in the Senior Bowl) Dee Winters - TCU Even more confusing is that on top of these Seniors, there was some others I thought would garner some conversation with the Bills at the draft in; Owen Pappoe - Auburn Henry To’oTo’o - Bama Noah Sewell - Oregon Drew Sanders - Arkansas Maybe the likelihood of Edmunds returning is a strong possibility in the FO’s mind? Personally, Dorian Williams looks like an ideal replacement for a team that is heavily fielding a nickel personnel. Very good in coverage and a decent feel for the development of plays. Aside from him could Boise State’s JL Skinner add on 15-20lbs and be converted into a LB that would be eerily similar to Edmunds? EDIT P.S. Not the biggest fan of Tremaine but that’s only due to draft placement and potential contract without the lack of absolute game changing plays by him over the course of his tenure in Buffalo. However… could do a lot worse.
