  1. i think you just a hope a guy like him buys into our happy family atmosphere and is swept off his feet by josh for a quick 4 month long bromance. Guys like that can pull it together nicely for brief spurts if the pieces fit right.
  2. 3-0 start gives the freedom to feel like that after a loss. I had the same feeling during and after the game. Whereas during the philly game last year, i was smashing my phone. Being in a desperate spot really messes with the mentality. This was a good time to take a lump and learn a few things
  3. and this is why i still always say McD is the wrong head coach for this team. Josh Allen is the identity of this team, and he is going to have to go through a carousel of o coordinators. At some point, maybe he becomes Brady or Manning, where he is the CEO of the offense, but I doubt he's there yet. A few years of stability under a really great coordinator would be nice. And while I don't think McD is a great fit for Allen, I concede I don't know who we'd grab that would be better, so it's just something we'll most likely have to live with. it could be way worse, right?
  4. i was honestly shocked when we didn't score against kc at the end of the game. it almost feels inevitable with josh. this stat is not surprising at all.
  5. higgins still needs to play for a contract. the bills really screwed up giving that big extension to diggs. and that's not hindsight. it was always questionable.
  6. he is 100% relieved. if you've ever had to perform around somebody that makes you walk on eggshells, you get it. mental energy needs to be focused 100% on making plays to win. not keeping a spoiled brat happy.
  7. He is pretty good at not going FULL DIVA but still being a huge PIA. he is very passive aggressive.
  8. i love that they cut those years off his contract. they think it's gonna make him highly motivated, but it's a double edged sword. he is gonna be on his worst behavior very quickly if things aren't going perfectly.
  9. probably gonna happen in the next few years whether we want it or not.
  10. that 2nd half of the 23 season is irrelevant if he catches one ball in the game that matters.
  11. while his cap hit is enormous for us, he is only making 18 mill per season, next two. a bargain if you think Diggs is still Diggs.
  12. OP is not kidding unfortunately. He is pessimistically putting himself into the mindset of McBeane. And he very well could be correct. Sad face.
  13. i like diggs. i understand some of his frustration. but he's not what he thinks he is, and he seems to lack some self-awareness. though probably not as much as appears.
  14. running the ball, he's a JAG. 100%. but I always had a good feeling when they threw the ball his way. Safe, dependable, runs hard, etc. If you could combine his intangibles with Cook's talent, we'd have a perfect back. and i don't dislike cook. but he's impossible to trust. edit: just looked at his numbers, and maybe im remembering stuff that's not real. 7 catches in the regular season. 1 post season. 1 fumble.
  15. but aaron schobel, right?
  16. This still hurts so bad to watch.
  17. we have to be all in on Von being Von again. If he is, floyd is a luxury we just couldn't afford to have again
  18. I probably watched Bob Sanders more than the others, so I am biased. When that guy was on, he was as big of a difference maker as any defensive player I have ever watched. He was probably only ON like that for a grand total of around 20 games. Won them a super bowl though.
  19. if we go back to those days when allen is gone, i will probably start watching a team that is something like Joe Burrow's bengals. Like how I followed 10 years of Peyton Manning during our drought. And I'll be honest, that brought me a lot of heartache as well. No matter how good it is, you always want it to be better. The only thing that feels good enough is if you're guy is the best of his era. I so badly wanted manning to pass brady, and now it's wanting allen to pass mahomes. Getting just one won't be good enough for us. We will be right back to miserable when they get bounced in rd. 2 the next year.
  20. Probably trying to get away with paying him nothing. He probably wants wants a Daniel Jones contract. And why wouldn't we? he is definitely the better player. but not every franchise is gonna be a sucker like the giants. Somebody like baker worth 30 million imo. Daniel Jones 20-25.
  21. Brees was still really good at 40, and pretty effective his last year at 41, despite not having any arm strength left. Rivers was still good at 39. he left to spend time with his family and because he really really wanted to be a high school football coach for some reason. 40 seems almost a normal end now, with quality seasons until almost the very end. with improving medicine, stem cells, less invasive surgeries, peptides, hgh, etc., it's easy to see mid 40s becoming more regular. I think more than anything it will be the desire rather than the ability that flames out prior to that. It is difficult to imagine that being the case, but im 42 now, and every year it shocks me how much i lose interest in something that brought me 30+ years of joy before. there just comes a time that the juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore.
  22. Shanahan is an all time choker. im sure he has hands all over whatever the defensive scheme was for the second half, and all crucial plays towards the end. he is a classic micro manager.
  23. I read a lot of comments from 49ers fans talking about Shanahan like he is McDermott. I'm still in the McDermott is not good enough camp. What I'd like to know is who the 9ers fans think is going to be better than Shanny?
  24. and people say that sarcasm is lost through text.
