  1. R-E-S-P-E-C-T can't hate a guy like that.
  2. man, you are playing with fire thinking about installing a modern passing offense with him in there. maybe he figures it out and it's great. we don't know if he can read defenses, go through progressions, etc. that stuff does not happen over night. how much patience are they going to have waiting for him to possibly master those things when they know they can go with tried and true and win a lot of ball games. in any case, i would guess they need somebody better than roman to try to integrate a real offense, while still hanging on to what makes them successful right now. is andy reid available? lol if they shift their focus to proper pass blocking, it will almost definitely cost them something in the run game. we have seen it with the bills. this will be a big riddle for them to solve, and they will need somebody special to put in the work to teach the guys.
  3. wow. that was incredible to watch from that angle with that sound! goose bumps.
  4. The texans need a leader of men, not an offensive guru or whatever. getting a true leader comes first. i think frazier can be that guy. but he definitely needs to bring a good o coordinator with him. i would trust that between him and caserio they can find a guy.
  5. Daboll is not a minority. But fat and bald is as marginalized as any group. should count for something.
  6. well im sure you understand the game better than cc. very impressive on your part.
  7. Collinsworth waxed poetic on Allen the entire pittsburgh game. and he was not unfair tonight. people hear what they wanna hear. He says a few dumb things, but he has a fun personality and he does have good insight.
  8. I would love to see a neutral observers analysis of watson after watching 16 games worth of tape. he is an enigma to me. I have really only watched him against the bills and the titans in week 17 this year. When i have watched, he looks like a wizard out there. He is composed. He brings his team back. His numbers are tremendous. What I watch tells me he is a top 5 guy for years to come. But I haven't watched a lot.
  9. ouch. dead cap hit of 59 mil in 2021. goes down to 24m, 15m, and 6m in the following 3 years. Maybe give him one more shot? lol
  10. if it is as bad as they make it out to be, need to get rid of him, no matter what the cap ramifications are.
  11. Have we seen Bienemy at the podium? does he speak well there? im not sure i get the hype with him anyway. that is andy reid's offense. But i don't follow the situation closely. All those people can't be wrong, can they?
  12. it needs to be an nfl rule. McD, Beane, and Pegulas should not be put in the position to say yes or no. Them saying no could lead to a resentful O-Coordinator now or down the road. And they want to be looked at as a program that treats their assistants well and tries to put them in a position to move up the ladder.
  13. ZOOM or in person, playoff coaches should absolutely not be involved in interviews while their team is still alive. terrible rule change this year.
  14. It will not be easily replicated. Taylor has been running as well as anybody. Perhaps even in the same league as Henry over the past month. They have a HoF qb. And a solid D. on top of that, a really good special teams. we have been pummeling our opponents special teams most of the year. Tennessee is really scary though. Awesome run game. Very competent qb. ANd Tannehill can run as well. just a bit more dynamic than rivers at this point. But they don't have the colts D. So there's that.
  15. i said this all game. they went away from what got them here. the run, run, run stuff is inexcusable for this offense. I'll be honest. I want him here. I think he's really good. But he has seemed almost infallible the past 6 weeks. Not the case today. Makes me feel better about the possibility of playing without him going forward. yup. our version of a run game should be short little swing passes into the flats.
  16. I think i know how you feel...almost. When the Bills were going through 20 years of football purgatory, I spent many a Sunday cheering for Peyton Manning. Only non-Bills jersey I ever bought. And then I followed him to Denver. I think Allen and Manning are similarly likeable. Thank god the Bills picked it up soon after Peyton retired. He got me through some hard times for the Buffalo. My neighbors are the parents of Colts OC Nick Sirianni. Tremendous neighbors. I can give them some love if they pull off the upset.
  17. Remember when Tim Tindale looked like a pro bowler for 1 quarter vs the fins? THE CANADIAN COMET!
  18. no initial reaction. just wait and see. same way i felt about drafting allen and trading for Diggs. i'll admit to being dumb enough to get excited for the rex hire back in the day. my thoughts on such matters should not be respected!
  19. I would expect an initial drop off, but they will get it together, and eventually improve on where they are now. It will be a harder road for Daboll without Allen and company than vice versa.
  20. yup. they made the right play moving on from him for that kind of money, and he made the right move to take the $$. But he was great to have around last year.
  21. watson is a freaking wizard. that guy scares me as much as anybody. hope they mess up this coach hiring!
  22. WOW. im not a twitter/instagram guy. had no idea what a fella that guy is. TREMENDOUS! huge fan just created.
  23. solid post. he's in my good graces now, but this is what had me so infuriated the first half of the season. im not sure if he's cleaned any of that up, if he's had less opportunities in those situations, or if we've just been playing so well that his mistakes aren't noticed. but i haven't noticed much the last month +. I hope it's because he's actually kicking better, but I haven't looked at the analytics.
  24. loved to see that coffin corner kick today. that has not been his specialty. he is progressing. I'll eat crow on him and bass. I was calling for both of their heads around the midseason mark.
