  1. The National Media just apes what comes from the fans first, and then the local media. Thing is, change doesn't happen until the nationals jump on the train. McDermott and Dorsey are now both on notice. If they don't turn ***** around, they may be gone after this year. For better or worse, this is the first time that possibility has felt real.
  2. im not sure if brady has had work done on his face though he has definitely had a hair transplant. if i had to guess i would say probably botox. anything beyond that, i would guess no, but just a guess that's like 60/40. i think the oddness might come from his skin being in really good shape, which is possible with different natural methods, but it does not have that fullness that a younger person has. so it just doesn't quite look right or normal.
  3. to get out of the AFC east? idk, better to be in the AFC east or NFC east right now?
  4. I coach cross country and have had a rough year with achilles injuries. 2 guys out. have never had any in my 12 previous years coaching. what gives? we are not running on artificial turf!
  5. The complaining can be a bit much. beating a dead horse, if you will. but you don't need to watch the rest of the league to come to the conclusion that McD is a guy that can make you a playoff team, but not a guy who can make you the best. I think most people, like me, who don't watch anything else now, have watched a lot of football in the past. You don't have to watch 3 games per weekend to know what an epic f up 13 seconds was, just to start.
  6. I don't start watching other teams until December. I try to keep up with records and things like that, but I just don't care to watch until there is an idea of who and what is important. And I just don't really support the NFL product as a whole. I'd stop watching the Bills, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
  7. i thought von looked better today. on that last drive i thought he was maybe being held one play, and then was doubled on the next, opening up the middle for rousseau. didn't watch him on every play, but he did look like a player out there.
  8. you don't fire mcD unless you have a replacement in mind. Jim Harbaugh?
  9. i think allen is really, really great, but his coaches are not. what he isn't though is peyton manning. Peyton Manning, and probably Tom Brady as well, took ownership of his entire offense, and the players on it. He spent time with the receivers, making sure they could run routes. He made some really mediocre guys look awesome. if you want to be on the level of those guys, you have to be responsible for everything that happens. making the right calls, helping guys prepare, etc.
  10. looks like we are stuck with him at least one more year https://overthecap.com/player/dawson-knox/7887
  11. what's the cap hit on getting rid of knox sorry, he stinks
  12. i want to compare the diggs and dorsey thing. Slamming something in frustration is fairly normal. i have no issue with what diggs did there, and i love to see clark schooling shannon over and over again. THe dorsey thing was and still is weird. THe way he kept picking up different things and slamming them was not typical of what you see from adults. i teach kindergarten, and it is honestly strange to even see a 5 year old act like that, but if i had to draw a comparison somewhere, it would be to a 5 year old kid who is emotionally disturbed. im not saying dorsey is emotionally disturbed. you probably can't get as far in his field as he has, if you are. it's just not behavior that you see. almost ever.
  13. they can pretend. and they now they are waking up at probably 5am for a 9:30am game, when you know these guys aren't used to that. if the game was later in the day, it would be much easier to pretend like that.
  14. Maybe if the NFL scheduled the game for 3 to 6 hours later, the late arrival would workout better? Bills arrive Friday but can keep on pretending they are on normal eastern standard time. as it is, they are waking up several hours earlier than they are used to, with only a couple days to adjust. A later game would make it almost adjustment free in many ways.
  15. Why didn't the bills fly over sunday night or monday morning?
  16. gosh. im not in love with dorsey, but mcdermott? get out of here. i do think he needs an offensive guy who is good enough to have almost total autonomy.
  17. well, he's the head coach. so yes it is his fault. if he wasn't a part of the discussion, he gave frazier too much autonomy.
  18. ive said for a few years that i wont be able to go back to how the last 20 years were before Josh. If it looks like that again, i will most likely stop watching.
  19. This is not updated. He is at 119. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_yds_career.htm
  20. Never loved Daboll as a coordinator, but Josh's lack of discipline since he left, made me think twice about that. We'll see how that looks the rest of this season. If Josh can be disciplined without him, there isn't much use for him, short of dorsey getting a hc spot. What the Bills have done the last few weeks feels similar to 2020 and 2021 buffalo. Maybe Dorsey is catching his stride. In my eyes, Daboll could be great when he was rolling, but what I thought he lacked was the ability to turn things around when the opposing defense had their number. I just didn't see the adjustments. I don't know if Dorsey will be an adjustments guy either. time will tell. Or maybe im way off on that. It's just the feeling i had during the best of times for us.
  21. This week, Allen jumped Daryle Lamonica, Chris Miller, and Brian Griese to land in the 119th spot with 19,445 yards. Next week, he should jump Sam Bradford and Charlie Conerly into the 117 spot with just 44 yards. With a healthy season, Allen stands to jump into the top 100 by the end of the season, if he can throw for 2685 yards in 13 games. Currently occupying spot #100, the great Carson Wentz.
  22. they must have had an idea of what they had with him because they didn't sniff around too much on the free agent front. interesting they played up edmunds value so much last year, when they might have known they had this ace up their sleeve. well played. or maybe we just got lucky?
  23. always great to have a jim leonhard type out on the field. helping 5 others guys can definitely make up for some physical limitations one might have.
  24. the contract goes through 29, so the last three years i guess will average around 60. will probably seem normal or low by the time they get there!
  25. yup. there are 3 to 5 guys, like Allen and Mahomes who deserve every penny, if not more. The rest of these guys like Jones barely deserve half of what they get. The nba is even worse for guys making undeserved money. seems like every other team has a max player guy or TWO who makes just about as much as a GIannis, KD, or prime Lebron.
