Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
Man with No Name replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Steelers are not wasting a generational talent with Mike Tomlin. If we were doing what we are doing now with Tyrod Taylor, Geno Smith or Mitch Trubisky, there would not be any complaining. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
Man with No Name replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
As has been mentioned, offensive coaches are the best way to super bowl success in today's nfl. Even when Bill B. was winning in NE, even when Brady didn't have as many weapons as he deserved, it was because Bill was the BEST defensive coach in the nfl. if you are going to be a defensive head, you better the best, or near it. Not just GOOD at it. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired

the reason we have been so strong is of course because we have a generational talent at qb. this is what the people in charge need to realize. we need to do everything in our power to set him up for success. I just don't think McD is that guy, and I think most others are on that same page. He is a *good* coach...not great. Though he will make some other franchise very happy, he just isn't right for what we have. -
You absolutely can blame some of the interceptions on coaching. Better coaching = less bad decisions. A coach's job is to communicate to the players what they should be looking for. Obviously coaching can't eliminate all mistakes, but there are definitely established patterns that can be positively or negatively affected by coaching.

Joe Brady on the Allen/Davis Miscommunication
Man with No Name replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
mistakes are always gonna be made, but when you gain an identity for specific kinds of mistakes over a period of time, that is on the coaching. Brady is new, so it's not really on him, but it is his job to clean it up. by either teaching them how to do it right, or getting rid of it if they can't figure it out. there is another angle as well. It was often talked about how much time Peyton Manning spent time with his receivers making sure they knew what they were supposed to do and how to do it. not sure if that was all overblown, or if that was something he went above and beyond with to separate himself from the 3rd, 4th, 5th best qbs in the league, etc. -
he just wants to win. feels very team oriented and positive, even in a game where he did very little on the stats sheet.

you can have the best plays in the world, but you have to prepare guys to execute them through the week. coaches are teachers. if the players can't execute what you are giving them, the problem ultimately lies with you.

Dalton Kincaid: Beane's best pick since Allen?
Man with No Name replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
i think we all think this in our hearts, but we are tempering expectations. -

HE is saying that Davis was fantastic in the role of 3rd WR

that int looked so bad, but I always admit I don't fully grasp what im watching. would love to see some sort of drawing breakdown that shows what harty did and where he threw the ball, versus where harty should have been and where the ball should have been. watching on tv, it just looks like the dumbest choice possibly imaginable.

Old saying: “Teams are a reflection of their COACH”
Man with No Name replied to WinterSoldier17's topic in The Stadium Wall
truthfully, he can go and maybe turn around some complete dumpster fire and bring them to respectability. but that's his limit. he's served his purpose here, but his time is up. maybe even starting from scratch with another team, he'll learn something along the way and become a more complete head coach. -
i am not so confident in our offense that we can just burn plays and put it in the end zone whenever we want.

Does he honestly think they should have burned downs there?

They have been completely unenjoyable for the past 20 games, minus maybe 2. hard to believe some people are still bought in at this point. im sure the rest will jump ship after tonight

I am so happy other people are calling out the 2nd straight all out blitz. the people i watched with looked at me like i had 4 eyes when i called it out.

THe coaches have to be fired. we have to hope it's them. cuz we can't replace all the players. if josh allen can't be coached out of this funk, we aren't worth anything more than a team like the jets.

I sold out emotionally a couple weeks ago. This one doesn't hurt at all. This whole game was comical. Maybe next year.

[QUESTION] Your Opinion On This Team Will Change Tonight If:
Man with No Name replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is nothing that can change my mind from just 1 game. Learned that going from Miami to what we've seen the rest of this year.
