Allen named AFC offensive player of the month!
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who would’ve thought Sam Darnold would be the best QB in the NFC at this point of the season 🤣 -
I disagree. McDermott and Brady got schooled by Harbaugh, but it’s also apparent to me that Buffalo lacks the firepower to compete w/ the top teams in the AFC. Josh Allen is not going to play forever. They need to get him somebody, anybody because the receivers on this team are average to below average. Maybe that will change later on in the year as Coleman (who looked good on Sunday) continues to develop, but why not spend a draft pick on a sure thing? It worked w/ Diggs. People would be straight up lying if they said they wouldn’t be excited about Devante Adams. He’s a piece of crap, but he can ball. Works for the Chiefs

Safety play: Actually pretty good?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall
None of these guys are a straight up liability, but none is a game changer either. I’m really hoping Bishop can be that guy as he was my favorite player in the draft. Given McDs track record w/ DBs I think he will be alright. I think we’ve been spoiled too long w/ Poyer and Hyde. Those guys were special and played like a unit. The current roster is still gelling -
Josh Allen has lost a step.

What a dumb thread. Didn’t we destroy the Chiefs a couple years back in the regular season and then they went on to win the SB? Let’s have this discussion when Josh hits his mid 30s. The Ravens have a top 3 coach in the league who came out w/ a better game plan. -

Buffalo had a rough game. It happens. Luckily the AFCE is trash -

Yeah, that’s a play you try when you don’t have a top 5 QB. -

Drifting to the sideline, across the body. That’s vintage Allen. The only QB in the universe that could make that throw -

This offense needs to be opened up asap. Sorry Josh but we need you to be Superman today -
If anyone can do it then they wouldn’t have shelled that much money towards Tua and they will do the same for Purdy.

lol I read this just as Smoot kneed that guy in the face -
BS. The QB deserves way more credit. He’s still gotta execute. “System” QBs don’t put up those types of numbers. He’s putting the ball where it needs to be and also trusting his receivers by giving them a chance
-
He’s got that Rich Gannon arc
-
Can’t stand Houston because of Diggs and then that stupid “little bro” speech Stroud gave to Caleb Williams at the end of the game. He had one good year. He’s not really in the position to talk to players like he’s some seasoned veteran.
-
Yeah, and he made the one to give them the 1 point lead which ultimately won them the game.
-
The kicker should be whacked for that performance. My faith in the Jets as an organization just Fing plummeted
-
Not in the modern NFL. Top tier kickers are winning you games single-handedly. Week 1 kickers had an average success rate of 91.3% for 50+ FGs. It’s almost a given bad weather or not. The Jets are dumb for signing him. Isn’t this the guy that missed like 3 extra pt kicks in the playoffs when he was on the Cowboys?
-
I was 1000% positive Zeurline was going to miss that. Like I knew it in my gut similar to Bass’ wide right against the Chiefs. What a heart breaker for Jets fans. I almost feel bad for them

That 4th down DB sack against Rodgers was a thing of beauty. With 1:46 left.
-
Wow Denver just took the lead w/ 9+ minutes to go against the Jets 😮let’s go Broncos

9/29/24 GAMEDAY Bills at Ravens SNF PREGAME THREAD

Love it -
Despite what a lot of people say, I think Buffalo has a solid starting roster from top to bottom and great depth w/ no huge drop off. No glaring weaknesses anywhere. Think of the team that broke the drought. Currently, we are more talented. If you swap TT or Ryan Fitzpatrick out for Josh Allen, they would carry the Bills to a respectable 8-9/9-8 record. Rely heavily on the run and play a more aggressive defense. I’ve also never seen Allen “get thrown around like a rag doll.” Especially against the Ravens who we have beat in the playoff and regular season. McDermott always has a great game plan for dual threat QBs. We handled Kyler Murray who is a better passer than Lamar. Lamar Jackson will get his yards + 2 TDs or so, but it’s not going to be a shoot out like the media thinks. The player I am most worried about is Likely. If Buffalo can hold Baltimore to under 20 points they will win convincingly. Ravens defense is a solid unit, but against the pass they are bottom of the barrel. Allen is going to murder them.

Milano is sooo fantastic when he’s healthy. If he wasn’t injury prone he would’ve went down as the GOAT. I am hoping he makes a full recovery and becomes a key cog in our SB run, but TBH the injuries are really starting to get too frequent. A good LB can play into their mid 30s especially those w/ super natural instincts. Hopefully he turns it around like Von (knock on wood.) Def my favorite player along w/ Taron Johnson who is normally Superman, but also out! I want to see this old guard of defensive players who have been here since the beginning of the McD era win a Lombardi.
