Saleh is hired by the Packers as a consultant
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills definitely should’ve offered some type of roll like this. McDermott still could’ve kept his defense. Having a great mind on the team who’s familiar w/ the AFCE (and AFC as a whole) could only benefit them. The Jets definitely screwed up majorly. Saleh will have success wherever he goes I made a thread the day Saleh got canned about Bills grabbing him for some role and got absolutely flamed for it😂 -
I was going to post this in the game thread, but it thought it was an interesting topic to have its own. I know the Vikings lost, but I can’t get over how much Sam Darnold has improved. Having the best WR in the game obviously helps, but he’s looked quick & decisive all season. I can now see why he was a such a high pick. I’m always fascinated by previous busts who turn it around especially much later into their career ala Rich Gannon. Was it going to a better system? More years of experience? A drastic change of approach? I remember when Bills’ great 36 y.o Todd Collins went super saiyan out of nowhere on a 3 game win streak for the Redskins where he threw for 900 yards.. Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield are all 3 pretty good examples of that and hilariously they are all better than their original team’s current starting QB. There have been countless examples over the years. Makes you wonder if teams should spend more time on development. The Jets and Browns would both be AFC contenders w/ those players.

One of biggest reasons why I am a Justin Herbert hater. -

Why? Having a cakewalk division sure worked out well for Tom Brady. It’s like pretty much having a guaranteed playoff spot locked up every year. I love it -

We should lure Jairus Byrd out of retirement just so he can pick off Geno Smith 3 times -
So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jerry Jones is an ass, but the Cowboys have been relatively competitive my entire life. I’d much rather be the Cowboys than the Raiders. -
Absolutely and you know nothing about football if you say otherwise. I’ve never seen a RB with a such a combination of power and speed. It’s almost like it defies the laws of physics. And he’s still only 30. Imagine Josh Allen and Derrick Henry sharing the same back field. 2 active HOFers. Good luck stopping that back field on 3rd and short 👍

5 Cities Tried to Steal The Bills From WNY
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL would be extremely dumb if they ever let the Bills leave Buffalo. That would be like the Packers leaving Green Bay. One of the cool things about the NFL is the parity especially when it comes to smaller market teams. It’s pretty awesome knowing that the Bills (not the Giants or Jets) have been the best team in New York for a while now. When people say the league is rigged, I point out the fact that Jets have the active longest playoff drought. The Bills and their fans have a charm to them. I feel like a good % of fans from other non-AFCE teams tend to root for us. The Bills are more of “America’s team” than the Cowboys are, that’s for sure. Going to Toronto would’ve been a massive black eye for the NFL and I think even Goodell knows that. Not just Bills fans would be affected. I’m not a Steelers fan, but I would damn sure be pissed if they moved to Canada and became the Toronto Drakes. -

Definitely the “Anti-Diggs” and I think this will be a huge relief for Josh not having a WR1 who think he’s bigger than the franchise quarterback. -
Hopkins is the more “flashy” choice, but Cooper will turn out to be the better trade in the end. Hopkins barely cracked 1000 yards once in the past 4 seasons and has been extremely injury prone. Not to mention 2 years older which makes a big difference in the NFL. Meanwhile, Coop has had 1100+ in 4 out of his last 5. He’s also been relatively healthy most of his career never missing more than 2 games. As far as playing style, Hopkins has elite hands and great ability high-pointing the ball. Route running is impeccable. He has one of the biggest catch radiuses in the league and is among the best at 50/50 balls. On paper, Mahomes and Hopkins are a match made in heaven, but rarely does the NFL work this way. I think he will have a good season just for the fact that KC’s WR room is the worst in the league so he will get his targets by default. Cooper is the more crisp route runner IMO and is a better YAC WR. He’s also faster by a pretty good margin. I looked up their 40 times and Hopkins clocked a miserable 4.57, while Coop ran a 4.42. That was 10 years ago and I can only imagine both have gotten slower. It would’ve been nice having Hopkins there to teach Keon Coleman who I think I think share a lot of similarities. That doesn’t mean he can’t learn a thing or 2 from Cooper though. All in all, I think Buffalo got the better deal of the 2. Cooper just seems like the better fit athletically, schematically, and personality-wise. The Chiefs are a little better at handling bigger personalities. Both teams are a receivers dream. If you can’t succeed w/ Allen or Mahomes then your career is pretty much washed.

He’s a monster. An absolute pure weapon. You could put him at TE and he’d still be top 5 at his position -
No. What the Bills need at slot is a small white guy w/ a high motor

What exactly is the real story with Mike Edwards?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry, but what an idiot. Being a backup is almost better than being a starter in the NFL. You’re not out there risking damage to your body and still getting paid. It’s a win-win. Plus Edward’s doesn’t have the leverage to pull this crap so pretty dumb on his part bc other teams are going to see this. -

I disagree. These are the games McDermott makes a living off of. I think it’s going to be a decisive double digit win. -
This should seriously be an option. I would pay for it.
