  1. I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. Kind of like the 18-1 Pats were easily the best team of that whole decade until Eli crushed their dreams.
  2. Tebow was his own worst enemy. If he was more low profile, he might still be latched on some team as a cool dual purpose backup QB/package player like Jason Hill/Seneca Wallace. Teams just didn't wanna deal w/ the "Tebow-mania" headache which I understand. He's a victim of his own legend. That Denver run was truly magical, though and no one can take that away from him.
  3. As I wrote in an earlier post, by putting the Chiefs at #1 means you put them in the Superbowl. The odds are against them making 3 in a row as only 3 teams have done it ever. I guess it is hope, but there's some decent evidence behind it also.
  4. The fact that he is going on his 6th season in the NFL is one serious mind **** Then again, I could say this for a lot of other players. What a joke.
  5. I won't lie, I'm pretty disappointed. I've never seen a player get as much undeserved hate as Tebow. I wanted him to make the team, have a semi productive season, and retire w/ dignity. I guess a piece of my childhood died when I heard this news. His Florida years got me into college football permanently. Good luck & God bless you, Tim. 😇
  6. Yeah? So was Bruce Smith. Would he be the all-time sack leader if he didn't play for 18 years? No, but that doesn't matter. Health & longevity are as equally as important as any other physical skill set and should ALWAYS be considered when discussing a players overall ability. 💯
  7. Myles Garrett on defense Or George Kittle on offense.
  8. The first one is on the coaches for sure. A team like KC isn't supposed to run allover people like that and adjustments were badly needed, they held on for a little while, but the Chiefs had full control from the beginning. The AFC championship (to me) was a combination of borderline illegal defensive contact by the KC DBs, an injured Diggs & Beasley, and poor offensive line play. Those are the Big 3 for me. Coaches coach, but players must execute. The Bills were the away team and they had too much going against them. Fortunately, they are becoming a seasoned playoff team and the next time around the spotlight won't be as bright.
  9. Mike Glennon is light years ahead of both of them especially Geno. He's proved himself as a viable backup. Looking at his career stats, they aren't bad at all. Funny because he was a guy I was really high on pre-draft. He's got a cannon.
  10. The Titans are a team on the rise and I'll go out on a limb that it will be them and the Bills fighting for the number 1 spot. The NFL is an unpredictable beast and I just don't see the Chiefs as front runner anymore. They were exposed badly by Tampa. Not only that, they have to break in 2 new tackles and you better believe that Frazier w/ an upgraded D-Line is going to send the house. After 2 Superbowl appearances, the odds are stacked against them to make a 3rd one. In fact, only 3 teams have made 3 or more in a row (Bills, Patriots, Dolphins.) 1) Bills 2) Titans 3) Chiefs 4) Browns 5) Ravens
  11. Well, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans who beat us and we beat the Baltimore Ravens so how exactly does that work? It's strictly about matchups, my friend. Unfortunately, KC is not a good one for us, but that doesn't deter me from agreeing w/ OP on them taking a SLIGHT dip next year. 👌 They aren't "paper tigers," but I think they are overrated af. Brady and the BUCS defense laid a vicious beating on them that I don't think they will forget anytime soon + the tape is out. Pressure Mahomes (like most quarterbacks) and you'll see him fall apart. This is precisely what Beane & McDermott had in my mind during the draft & free agency. Shame we couldn't land JJ Watt.
  12. Off-topic sort of, but I wouldn't call the Houston loss embarrassing. The Jax one for sure, though.
  13. I feel like at least 2-3 games are won or lost each year because of special teams. Any Bills fan who experienced the 90s will tell you that.
  14. AJE is a guy flying under the radar immensely for a 2nd round pick. He seems to be the forgotten man on this board. I wonder why?
  15. Yeah, my first thought seeing this. Tre & Cole are ranked so closely and yet Tre is a top 5 player at his position and Cole is around a top 25 guy, (IMO) but certainly a top 5 slot receiver. I don't disagree w/ where Beasley is, but you can bet I do w/ Tre. If he played for someone like Dallas or New England you'd better believe he would be in the top 40. Sincerely, Salty Bills fan
  16. You answered your question the first sentence. Preseason.
  17. Nah, bro. I'm not denying that he wasn't "in" on Allen, but during the playoff push where we were almost neck & neck w/ Miami, he said the Bills & Allen might not be the best team/QB in the division. I remember it clear as day and I'll try to find a link later if I can. I used the wrong words. He wasn't saying Allen was bad, he was just a lot higher on Tua and Miami as a team. He said it multiple times. Just another stupid "hot take."
  18. It probably isn't even a parody account. Journalists are just lazy & want to stir **** up nowadays so they make up quotes they get from their made up "sources."
  19. Cowherd is a complete joke. Last year, during mid-season he said Allen wasn't even the best QB in the AFC East. Now he's riding his ****. I had covid and did nothing, but watch ESPN/NFL Network while I was quarantined and the amount of BS he said about Allen was hilarious. I hope someday somebody goes back and makes a video of all his stupid quotes that turned into BS. 😡
  20. "Darnold 2.0," said one official. 😅 I feel like these reporters just make **** up. There's NO way someone would leak that even if they really felt that way. That would be awesome. First, Tannehill for the Fins and hopefully Darnold in Carolina. Life is good. Funny thing is, Tannehill would put Miami over the top w/ that defense and I'm sure they would give a first round pick to have him back.
  21. The QB I'm most terrified of is Zach Wilson bc he's in the division. He's got a lil bit of the Allen/Favre/Fitz gunslinger traits in him. I hate the term, but he's a "gamer." I've got a lot of crap on this board, but another guy I slightly worry about is Mac Jones. He posted the best completion percentage in FBS history (from what I read) and not that THAT means anything as we all know, but if u watched him u know he's deadly accurate. Yes, he had the best talent around him. So did Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Did he make every throw he was supposed to make? Yes. The guys a national champion and Heisman runner up. He's got the height, accuracy, and pocket awareness. I don't think he'll be anywhere near GREAT, but he will be good in the mold of Kirk Cousins w/ a big reason being his coach. Go ahead and flame me, I'm ready! 😚
