First games are always weird. We should be more worried if they start doing this mid-season.

They have some nice skill pieces, but I’m not worried about Jimmy G or that defense. I have a feeling the Bills are going to take their pain from week 1 and transfer it to the Raiders. If Allen follows up with a bad game then fans should definitely worry, but I have a really hard time believe he forgot how to play the QB position. Bills rout the Raiders 33-14 and Allen will have 300+ yards of total offense.

Especially against Zack Wilson where you don’t need to score much to win.

It was a dumb play that risked a turnover in a game that went down to the wire. I agree w/ OP. If Josh is gonna hurdle then at least be in the proximity of a first down. Making yourself airborne like that leaves you vulnerable to big hits hence bigger chance of injury.

At least he wasn’t be taken out physically which is a good sign since he is a small MLB to begin with. Those types of things will be solved with experience.

Idk how people can be upset with allowing 16 points to someone. Even if it was Zack Wilson, they still have some great skill position players and 16 points is very respectable in the modern NFL. If the offense can’t generate more than that to win the game then it is on them. Bernard wasn’t a liability on the field and that’s all you can ask for.

I remember when we picked Brady off 4 times when Fitz finally beat them and Aaron Rodgers had a 4 pick game against us as well. Burrow threw for 81 yards on Sunday…81! At least Allen could muster up more than 3 points against an equally hard defense. If Buffalo somehow pulled it off in OT then all sins would’ve been forgiven and we would be taking about how spectacular the defense looked. The fact that it was the 1st game of the season makes it much worse as we’ve waited months for this only to **** the bed. The Raiders and Commanders should be nice “get right” games so bring Buffalo back to a winning record and bring this board a little more optimism.

The Jets is tailor-made to beat Allen, he just needs to reinvent his game when he plays against them, and stop taking so many dumb chances. You’re comparing yourself to Tre White? The NFL is in an entirely different stratosphere than whatever level your playing days were at. We would all love an Antoine Winfield kind of CB that makes jarring hits in the backfield, but that’s just not Tre Whites game.

I’ll reserve my right to answer this until the end of the season. Bengals started out 4-4 last year. Chiefs dropped their first game to the freakin Lions. Let’s see if they can rebound. I doubt the Jets will go far with Zach Wilson. We’ll most likely have to split a head to head tie breaker with Miami for the division.

Dorsey can call whatever play he wants. If Allen can’t execute then what is he supposed to do? At least Dorsey got the run game firing a little bit to take some pressure off of him. This wasn’t a case of his supporting cast failing him.

Expecting White to make a 1 on 1 tackle w/ Breece Hall with no one in the 2nd level to clean up is insanity and then to blame him for the ONE freak bobbled TD allowed all game is even crazier. This loss is on Josh Allen. Time to move on. We lost to the Steelers opening week a couple seasons ago and that team was pathetic. At least the Jets are a worthy opponent. This isn’t the AFC East of the old where we had 4-5 free wins every season. How will Josh Allen bounce back ? That’s the more important question.

Idk why people are surprised that Allen had a bad game against the Jets who were specifically built to stop him. Joe Burrow is 7-8 all time in the AFCN and no one questions him even after he put up an even worse stat line yesterday. It’s not unheard of for QBs to have bad games within their conference.
