“Because the field is spread out more,” Tarkenton said. “I watch Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes doesn’t do anything I didn’t do. Nothing.”

Him and Mahomes actually do have a very similar style.

Love what JA said. He wants a Lombardi just as bad as the fans do!

How about a new saying? Instead of “Just one before I die” how about “Just one before JA retires”.

Who’s making the shirts with our new SB rallying cry? 🤣

“They don’t need a weapon. They have the player of mass destruction”. Love it. Go Bills!

He will get one and it will be this season. Screw the media, the journalists, the “fans.” This team went and had a convincing victory sans a ridiculous kick off return TD against the Cardinals. Who absolutely annihilated LA the following week 41-10. Then they bullied Miami into submission 4 day’s later. The offense is clicking on all cylinders especially the run game. If Cook & company can maintain this type of production and the defense continuing to gel into its final form, Josh Allen will be skating into the post-season on easy mode. Most of all, I think we finally will overcome the Chiefs in the playoffs (4th time’s a charm, right?)

Nah man he's the greatest to ever do it. I have no shame in admitting it. He's better than Allen, Mahomes, or anyone else. He just never made any mistakes and always threw the ball to the right place. The GOAT in terms of pocket presence, reading the defense, and accuracy. Underrated arm strength too. And somehow he was playing the best football of his career in his mid-30s after tweaking his mechanics.

If this post nets me a ban I accept my punishment.

I still think Marino was the greatest passer the world’s ever seen. If given Brady’s coaching and cheating skills he would’ve won a few SBs. Those WR cores of the Dolphins were some of the worst ever for a HOF QB. People **** all over Bellichick because of his post and pre-Brady record, but he’s is just as responsible for those championships. Remember who brought in Vinatieri and built those defenses. Shutting down the greatest show on turf was no small feat.

    Wow...Mayfield dropping some info...

Says the team was stressed out by Brady the last year especially and that if he told his OC Byron Leftwich that he didn't like a play during the week and it was called in a game that he would intentionally throw the ball at the receiver's or running back's feet to show him who was in charge/in control of things and his displeasure. Also appears it might be related to Brady not respecting him enough since he was 2 years older than Leftwich.

Brady apparently isn't the squeaky clean guy the media tries to make him out to be...

Wonder how much other stuff like this goes on that you don't hear about...

Baker Mayfield suggests Tom Brady 'stressed out' team

On the podcast, Mayfield said, "The building was a little bit different with Tom in there. Obviously, playing-wise, Tom is different. He had everybody dialed in, high-strung environment, so I think everybody was pretty stressed out."

Mayfield went on to say, "You hear some of the stories about if he didn’t like a certain play call and he didn’t like it throughout the week and they still call it in the game, there might have been a throwaway on purpose or throwing it at the running back or receiver’s feet. There were a lot of mind games going on."

It’s obviously because Brady is such a winner and demands excellence from everyone around him 🙄

I've been a Bills fan for decades, since the 60s. I was reading a post about rooting interests in the Baltimore-Dallas game got me thinking about past grievances and rooting for today's best interest saying that they were rooting for Dallas but throwing up in their mouths while doing it. Remembering the 90s Superbowls, the 0 for the Seventies Miami run, and more recently, the  Patriots dominating the Bills and cheating their asses off, when do we let the past go? I understand that a Dallas win is better for the Bills this week, but I just can't get there. I remember the pain of those two Super Bowl losses too much. Am I living too much in the past?

All of their AFCE teams for obvious reasons

The Browns bc Deshaun Watson is a weirdo

I do too. The issue is that Draft Class has so many Post Round 1 hits, are we going to be able to extend them all?

Benford may or may not be Priority 1. All these players were Drafted in the same class and all their contracts come due at the same time. And they're all going to be pricey.

    James Cook

    Terrel Bernard

    Khalil Shakir

    Christian Benford

Beane doesn’t get enough credit. This class was a slam dunk. Cook is likely an All-Pro if he can keep up the pace and I see no reason why he can’t. Bernard has been bit by the injury bug, but is a pro bowler when healthy. Shakir could be the leading receiver this year. Benford has been in the upper half of starting CBs, but this year could be a break out one. Buffalo is suprisingly deep at CB.

They are desperate for a win, but that just means the pressure is on them. Clearly they are the inferior team too. It's more likely they get embarrassed.

I hope so, but Jax still has some talent scattered around both sides of the ball. I think it’s a 1 score game in the Bills favor, but I hope you’re right.

    So Groot had 52 snaps

    AJ Epenesa had 50 snaps

    Von had 29 snaps

From my recollection, Von's first snap was late in the 1st quarter.

It wasn't until the Bills had a sizeable lead did Von's snap count increase dramatically.

I understand that the Bills are using Von strictly as a pass rushing specialist however I would hope that as the season develops that Von gets more snaps when the score in the game is in doubt.

They want him fresh for the playoffs. His snap % is working out perfectly and I don’t think they should mess with it

I drafted Jordan Mason (even though I don't have CMC) because CMC had a lingering calf injury and because of all the camp reports of Mason surpassing Mitchell as the locked in RB2. Snagged Mason off waivers in both my dynasty leagues, too. Dude has "league winner" written all over him.

As for those that took CMC early and DIDN'T draft his handcuff, well....

Mad Men Not Great Bob GIF

Exactly. It’s their own fault knowing CMC’s injury history

Honestly, lots of crap games tomorrow. It's the nfl, so I'm sure some will end up being good games, but on paper, yuck. Kc and Cinci "might" be good. I'm bored. Did all my outside work, no good college games on at the moment. Hoping for some good action tomorrow

KC - Cinci is a game I am looking most forward to. I want to gauge how good the Bengals are and whether or not week 1 is a fluke. The Jets - Titans game is also an interesting game. If Rodgers can’t win this one then it’s officially time to panic for NY fans. Honorable to mention to Bucs -Lions as well. I’m a huge Baker Mayfield fan and Mike Evan’s is a favorite of mine too

13 seconds doesn't happen to a truly good coach. Belichick wins us that game.

If McDermott gets us a Super Bowl, then I'll say he is truly very good/great. Right now he is Marvin Lewis/Marty Schottenheimer with a slightly better playoff record.

    Marvin Lewis ? Come on

It's week 2. Let's see what happens with the league getting more and more film of the offensive changes and new defensive personnel and plan before we make definitive statements.

Early last season Ken Dorsey was the OC and they put up 145 points through the first 4 games.

Yes, but the way they up points matters. Buffalo’s offense is much more balanced than anything we’ve ever seen since McDermott got here. They are killing it on the ground and Allen is always available to make an insane play when they need it. Dorsey’s offenses always seemed inconsistent and Allen-reliant. The difference is we are out-physicalling (I know it’s not a word) other teams which is a first for a team that was much more technical in the past.

One of the things I was most looking forward too this season was watching Milano and Bernard play together. Week 2 and they are both injured.

Three years in a row of this. Not sure I've ever seen anything like it.

The good thing is we will have them back for the playoffs. I’d rather lose them now. If we can keep piling up wins then we’ll be in great shape. Now if the defense starts blowing games then that’s a different story. Next man up

We cant be a serious team with him in lineup, and im not kidding.  i get it, i get it, kickers are kitties, nobody likes them, but youre not getting to a SB with a kicker like him, let alone winning it.  hes already a mess. imagine we pound someone in WC, he misses from 39, and now his psyche is going to recover? Imagine tight game in a SB and youre at a 35yard kick..... you have to kick, its late, youre down 1, but you also know you cant kick lol no thanks. my hair turned grey typing that

We’ve seen it over and over again how a kicker can make or break you. Wide right volume 1 & 2, Butker constantly making clutch kicks against us, Adam Vintieri, etc. I am with you and I hope they are keeping an eye on who might be available if Bass keeps screwing up. I’ll sacrifice distance for a guy that is willing to make those 40-45 yarders

First, I still really like Jordan Poyer and I hope when Dolphins come to Buffalo, Bills do something classy for him. But I’ve noticed that as he gets older he takes some horrible angles at times. I’m glad he did on one of Cook’s TDs but man did he blow that play.

Poyer got abused during this game. He looked old and slow. He had a great career, but time to call it quits. Him and Tua should throw a retirement party

  16. I am not particularly confident in Bass either. His body language has been crap. He’s lost his swag. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt until he needs to make an important kick, but things are looking grim.

Good God. They didn’t need to get fancy tonight. The gameplan was perfect. And no creativity? Did you see the first TD?

Or the “disguised pick” Wheel route to Cook. That was a thing of beauty and the WRs who set it up sold it nicely. The zone run block has been creative and also set up a long run TD for Cook. Idk what this guy sees?
