With the Jets now having 2 first round picks, I can't see the Bills waiting til round 2 for a QB let alone trading down behind the Jets second pick. I've said all along, screw Kiper, Mayock, Casserly and who ever else is a draft know it all. Take the QB you want at 8 and don't risk losing out on him because you waited. Buddy and company can't afford to screw the pooch on a QB this year.

He wasn't practicing yesterday, so one of a few things are going on; 1. He had surgery and he is slowly coming back to 100% 2. The injury is cropping up again, or 3. Something new is bothering him. And speaking of injuries and though it may be nothing, but Stevie did all this offseason conditioning and tweaks his back on day 1. Is this going to be his nagging injury this year?

Stevie needs to put just as much effort into his play on the field as he does off. You want to beat the Pats, then do it come Sunday.

A guard at 8 is a wasted pick. If they don't go QB at 8, the I'd take a corner or LB.

If he came at the right price, we could use some depth on the Oline, especially if the plan is to move bodies around to accommodate the departures of Levitre and Rhinehart.

IMHO, I think these teams don't think highly of this year's QB draft class compared to Luck and RGIII, but this group does have some positives. I believe these teams will draft one but they have put themselves in a position to have an insurance policy while grooming the rookie. I don't feel this group would be first year starters. Hence the the signing of Palmer, Flynn, Kolb, etc. I could be completely way off base here. Could be a lot of smoke screens going on too. Who knows what they're smoking? I'm not familiar with the crop that's expected in 2014 and which team might be looking to the future, while riding the mediocre QB bandwagon this year. The draft is a crap shoot for the most part. Look at the busts from first round picks and the late round gems. The draft is like a box of chocolates! I think Forrest Gump was on to something here. Roll the dice Buddy!

Fitz will be back. Period!! This team has too many holes to fill with all the cuts and retirements. Couple this with only six draft picks, you won't see two QBs drafted. Maybe a UDFA afterwards is brought in. There won't be any Mario Williams type signings in FA this year. Plan on second and third tier bandaids. I agree with marauderswr80 that Fitz has the team by the balls. Terrible contract they gave him.

I Agee with OP of cutting Kelsay, Smith and McGee. Get Fitz to restructure his contract and keep him as a back up. I can see this team going after Landry and/or Bell in free agency. Landry won't come cheap I suspect. Then who ever else they're targeting in FA, they'll need cap space. Plus the obvious of resigning Byrd, Levitre, Nelson, and possibly McKelvin.

Again, Patriots are dropping out of the Pro Bowl with Marcia Brady being the latest. I rembember a few years back when the Pro Bowl was after the Super Bowl and the Patriots lost. Almost all that were selected for the PB dropped out. I know the ProBowl is a mere vacation and there's no real effort put in by the players but this just shows what arrogant snobs the Cheatriots really are.

I'm not impressed with this either. This one screams of the "hire your friends" mentality. Looks like a good share of the boys from Syracuse are coming on board.
