With the exception of the defense...the team is so pathetic. I can't get excited for the games anymore. I thought last season was bad, and had high hopes with a new coach and staff, but this is rediculous. Ten lousy points each game. Penalties killed two potential scores on special teams. We finally get decent run backs and two holding penalties negate them. Bledsoe is washed up. Even with the time he had to throw, it was either under thrown or high. Henry looked slow to hit the hole. Where was McGahee? We finally spread the field with Evans in the final quarter and go deep. I was yelling for Matthews to come in during the 4 qtr. I'm at a loss. It's a good thing that they have next week off so I can get my blood pressure back to normal. This team has proven it can't put a game away or make the points when needed. They haven't done it at home or on the road. And to think, the Pats will be just as rested as Buffalo and will a field day with them. This team is going to have to make some adjustments now if they play on winning any games this season. I can really see us going on the road to the Jets 0-3. And the Jets are doing alot better than predicted. This is sickening......Time to cancel my NFL ticket subscription. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

The Oakland game isn't going to be a "gimme" in the win column. The offense is going to have to put points on the board. Lindell is going to have to be accurate if it's a close game. The defense did well for the first 57+ minutes last week but will have to stay focused. This is all obvious and needs no reply. But I really believe Lindell will be the team's achilles heel this season. I still can't figure why we signed him over Hollis in 2003. At least Hollis can hit the cross bar at 40+ yards and put it in (see Vikings game). At least this week there will be game tape to study, but so will the Raiders and I have a feeling they'll be blitzing alot. We may see alot of TH and WM in the back field to pick it up and have one as a relief for quick dumps. If not, DB will see a lot of the California sun. Both teams are stinging from a "down to the wire" loss and both will be hungry for a win. But the advantage swings towards Oakland with a home game. If we don't win this, we can realistically look at a 0-3 record going into week 5. The NE game is the beginning of a 3 game streak of division opponents. A win against the Raiders will fuel the attitude, come up with a decent game plan against the Pats with everyone rested and rely on the 12th man to beat them at home. On the flip side, a loss in Oakland will be just like TH said this week about the Jags loss compared to last season, "deja vu". So far everyone has the right attitude, it's a new game, don't focus on the loss. But what is up with Fletcher dodging the media. He's the captian of the defense. He's knows better than to horse around kicking the ball and causing a delay of game. Suck it up...take your medicine. At least Clements had the decency of admitting he should have just batted the ball away and took responsibility. Ok, I'm off my soap box. But this is a must win game. For those of you going..bring the 12th man to rock the house. I'm going to compare this season to the 98 season. We started 0-3, but got into the playoffs. New head coach, staff, and offensive system. There is light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully it's not a train coming the opposite way. GO BILLS!!!!!!!

I agree, Teague has looked much better so far and give credit where credit is due, irregardless if it's Mcnally or Teague. Someone figured it out. Now what about the rest of the O-line? I'm still worried mainly because Jennings is still hampered by the injury bug (how long will he stay healthy?), and big Mike is still playing catch up. The middle of the line looks pretty solid and as long as Jennings stays healthy, DB will survive within the new system. But MW has his work cut out for him this year. His unpreparedness for camp is his weakness until he catches up. DE's are faster off the ball here lately and MW is a little slow reacting in some instances. But I'll remain optimistic and hope that the O-line gels real quick. With our schedule, the team can't afford to play catch up in November. They'll have to win the early games and play tough on the road the second half. MM is playing the media well and accepting what he can't change with all the injuries and lack of reps with the first offensive line unit. But I hoping the offense will score some points after some serious game planning for the season opener and not see a repeat of how the preseaon has played out with the plain vanilla play calling. Time will tell.

I think this is going to be a tight game with both defenses going at it. The Jags defense has looked pretty good this preseason. If our anemic offense can score and the defense keeps the Jags offense off the field, I'll predict a win. But if our offense continues to look the way they have been even with some game planning, it'll be a long game. But I'll be optimistic and say 2-0 going into the bye.

Ok, add in Euhus and Espisito to the PS.

I hope you're right CJ. I'll be optimistic for a day. I feeling is that with all the changes in the line up, i.e. rotations, injuries, experimenting, etc., that the team settles in these next two weeks and come out with some serious kick a$$ game planning. After watching the Indy game, I had to remind myself that it's only preseason, plain vanilla play calling, etc. GO BILLS!!!!!

Here is who I see will be gone come the 5th: Greg Zolman, QB Joe Burns, FB Shaud Williams, RB Drew Haddad, WR Tim Euhus, TE Jasen Espisito, OT Mike Pucillo, G or Marques Sullivan OT Dylan McFarland, OT Jason Gildon, DE Lauvale Sape, DT Constantin Ritzman, DE Ron Edwards, DT Gerald Dixon, CB Pierson Prioleau, S Jabari Greer, CB Williams, Jason Peters, McFarland, Ritzman and Greer stay for the PS If the front office keeps 4 QBs on the roster, I think the the D line will take the hit. As much as Pucillo took a step back, he may stay to keep experience at guard and release Sullivan instead. Comments?

Geez, you'd think that WGR was saying that TV was the second shooter from the grassy nole. IMO, it happened, it's done and over with, unfortunate as it may be. But give it a rest. JP will still have a salvagable season. He's smart and resiliant. From what I seen of this offense and DB, we're not "billsfanone" and the "sky isn't falling". What a bunch of nervous nellies. Relax folks. Bring on the season...let's roll.
