  1. I agree with Eball. I think Peters' agent should be grateful the Bills even gave Peters an invite and a job to boot. If I were Peters, I'd have my a$$ in camp, proving my worth even more so, and look to renegotiate later on. Right now this O-Line needs to pick up where it left off and build on last season. Playing this game of maybe moving Walker over to fill for Peters and disrupt the continuity is horsecrap. Be a man Peters and play your contract.
  2. It was an awesome sight....this will be the year we at least split with the Pats*.... As a side note....love the avatar grunt....does she have a sister?
  3. I think the team should keep JP as a decent back up to TE. If TE goes down and the team brought in another QB from the draft as the new #2, the team is really screwed.
  4. Read the article about him on BB.com; seems impressive. Can anyone tell me more about him? How does he compare with the other WRs in the draft?
  5. See, rayfinkle and ndirish are perfect examples.
  6. Amen brother. It's a shame that there are those on this board who have to play "moderator" and critique everyones post. For example, "This thread is a repeat, use the search feature next time." Not of all us live and breath TSW, but when someone does post something, for God's sake, let them post it. Obviously those who bash don't have anything better to do or anything worth posting yourself, because if you did, you'd have something worth contributing and starting a thread of your own. But you'd rather be hovering over the keyboard waiting for your prey.
  7. Hey Gary M, I see you are from Hornell. So am I!! I left there in 1980 and get back every so often. All my family is there still. What street did you live on?
  8. I don't know about the rest of you and I am sure this has been brought up in the past, but the NFL network and despite all the good it does bringing the latest NFL news to bear, has to be the most biased. Rarely do you ever see an interview on a Bills player, the team, etc. All you hear about is the Patsies and how they blew the super bowl, the Dolphins and how bad they sucked last year and how the second or is it third or fourth coming of Parcells to right the ship, and every other team and how wonderful they are. The icing on the cake was the Chad Johnson interview the other day. Cry me a river!!!! I don't know what exactly his stats were last year, but I do know the Bills secondary laid his a$$ out. Then to watch Eisen, Dukes and Woodson practically kiss his a$$ during the whole interview and throw a Chad Johnson pity party on national TV. I guess if they don't throw a big name cry baby or the once great whoever on the show, then no one is going to watch it. I know the Bills haven't been the poster child for success since the 1999 season, but holy crap, level the playing field on who you report about. Ok, I'm done venting. Living here in Arizona, I don't get to see much if any coverage on the Bills. You people are my connection to western NY. Keep the cards and letters coming!!!! Thanks to all of you for keeping me up to speed! Go Bills
  9. Just saw on the NFL channel that the Bills signed CB Will James to a 2 yr deal.....anyone else see this? Nothing from Chris Brown on it yet.
  10. I think the Bills should go with what they have in the draft. There's plenty of talent at RB and the Bills wouldn't have to break the bank. The Bills need the picks and I wouldn't be disappointed if they did some trading down and get an extra pick if the players they really want at #12 aren't there.
  11. The last I had heard was that Hargrove was tendered an offer, but has he signed yet? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
  12. I just read the mock NFL draft on MSNBC and they had the Bills taking LaRon Landry, a FS with Willis going at #13. Why in the world would we draft a FS at #12 when there are more pressing needs. Who ever put that together must not go to the same hair dresser as Mel Kiper.
  13. I think Buffalo is maybe looking to dump Anderson off onto another team who can better the offer. If so, what round pick would the team be compensated for, 3rd or 4th? BTW, what's up with no offer being tendered to Hargrove? The team got him for a 5th round pick. If he walks, what does the team have to show for it? Get it done Marv.
  14. I can only imagine what it's like in western NY during the offseason; at least the folks up there can talk about the Bills. But here in AZ, I might as well be on a deserted island. The lack of reading material is killing me. Thank god for TBD. My comments on some of the recent posts; Jim Kelly would be a nice addition to the franchise, yes paint the end zones red again, clements and fletcher won't be back, yobouty will fill in perfectly, and magahee needs some serious competition if he wants to keep his job. What is next in the off season? What are some important dates coming up besides March 1st?
  15. Does anyone know what the status of Spikes is for the Jets game?
  16. great post...that said, i also think that is presents a challenge to opposing DC's in how they want to defend the pass. With the maturity of JP and the weapons at his disposal, I really think the Bills will have a winning season, maybe not playoff bound, but definately a winning season....
  17. The sacks are worrisome, but how many of them came at the expense of the 2nd and 3rd string OL?
  18. Granted the rookies are drafted where they are for a reason; they're play making ability in college with the hopes it will carry over in the NFL ranks. If it's the agent that's squabbling over a million in guarenteed money, that is down right ridiculous. The agent should be happy his client was picked where he was in the draft and be satisfied with what's being offered. It sounds reasonable what Buffalo is offering. The longer he waits, the farther down the depth chart he falls. So who really is at the losing end here?
  19. Does anyone know when the individual games tickets go on sale for us peasants who don't have season tickets? I want to go to the Vikings game in October when I go back home for vacation.
  20. ok, i understand it better now..thanks
  21. i read that the rfa defensive tackle from the bears that the bills are courting will get the signing bonus from buffalo whether he comes here or not. i read it was 1.7 or 1.8 million. are the bills really that confident that the bears won't match their offer, or do they have money to burn? we lost out on wells, what's to say we'll get the guy from chicago?
  22. If the Bills are looking to maybe bring in a QB, would it be worth bringing in someone like Griese? Would he be expecting to be a starter and want starter pay? Besides Wells, who else is out there for O-linemen in FA? Since we have an extra pick from the Travis Henry trade, maybe it would be worth giving up a 6th round pick for Wells. My opinion on Moulds is to still try and work out an agreement with him to stay. It was only one game he whined about, but look what happened the game he wasn't there. I still don't think the WR talent we have after Moulds can get the separation, draw the double teams, etc like Moulds can. He's still got some steam left in him. Granted, it isn't going to matter who we have lining up at WR if the O-line can't give whichever QB we have protection. But Moulds experience and leadership is needed.
  23. Does anybody know when the free agency period begins? Is after the pro bowl in February or does it start in March? Very anxious to see who comes and goes on this team....
  24. one of these three would be good; martz, caldwell or wyche..
  25. That Payton is the leading candidate to take over HC for the Saints and that Sherman is a distant third for the job. Looking better all the time for Sherman to come to Buffalo. Just say no to Juaron...
