Besides abandoning the run in the second half, his clock management skills were less that desireable on the 4th quarter touchdown drive. WTF???? Why weren't they running a no huddle? They wasted too much time. Then they were in panic mode when they did get the ball back. Maybe Chan should just coach the team, bring in a real OC and get a new DC in the offseason. The offense has become too predictable.

Sitting back after the Bills put a beat down on the Skins, they were 5-2 and were the talk of the town. They had been doing well, being casted as the favorite at times, coming back from behind to win, etc, etc, etc. Now, the Bills can't be mentioned in the same sentence without the words, "Sinking, terrible, no motivation, lack of depth", you name it. I so want a winning season. I looked forward to Sundays; drinking from my Bills coffee cup, putting on a jersey, watching all the pregame hype. But now the emotion and excitement has seemed to vanish. I'll still drink my java from that cup, throw on the jersey, but it won't feel the same. After these past 3 losses, there just seems to be no end to the depths this team has sunken too; the lack of confidence, no indentity, and worse of all, the IR bug. We all thought this was the year. Gratned there are still 6 games and anything is possible, but I just don't see it. Flame away if you want, but even though the glass is half full, there's a leak at the bottom. Oh well, it was a fun ride Bills fans. I'll stick it out until the end. But I'm not getting my hopes up. Go Bills!!!

Official Bills vs Dolphins game thread

I can't believe how crappy this team is playing. And it will continue for the rest of the year. They'll be lucky to win another game. Nix doesn't have the balls to get rid of Edwards. Gailey's creativeness is gone. There is no emotion or desire on this team with the exception of a few. I'd be embarrassed to collect a pay check. -
I agree with you here. The 2nd and 3rd string players were selected becuase they could play and were NFL caliber material. If they weren't, they'd be selling insurance on Edward's used car lot. The coaches have to be creative enough to be able to ajust the scheme on the fly and used the players they have to their utmost potential. None of this, "Well player X isn't good in coverage, so we can't blitz and leave him on an island" crap. Edwards and Gailey both are scared to take the chance and let the players play and learn. I'm going to the San Diego game and now I'm wishing it was earlier in the season. I was hoping to go knowing that the Bills would have something to play for. But the way they've been playing the past month, I'm not so sure they will.

That's the spirit, but I wish I could add to your optimism. With the injuries mounting and players going to IR, no depth, no offensive creativeness, and a porous defense, this game has the makeings for another diaster. I'd love to see a butt whooping like they did against the Skins and Chiefs, but this is a Dolphins team that is out to prove people wrong. This is a Bills team in the corner, licking their wounds with no answers to fight their way out. Hopefully I'm wrong and the Bills become the rabid badger that goes on the attack and doesn't look back.

It can't hurt. I say throw the kitchen sink at them all for the rest of the season. Put things in there they haven't used yet. Chan said that Brad came in late during the preseason and didn't really get a good look at what he could do. So why did we sign him? Use him and abuse him I say. Put him at the WR spot, toss a lateral to him and have him throw down field. Anything to get a spark from the offense, confuse the opposing defenses and score like crazy like we did in the beginning of the year. Chan is supposed to be this megamind, well now's the time to change it up and throw in some new wrinkles.

Use the bunch formation with the WRs on the line, more playaction and let Fitz roll out of the pocket more often.

I wonder if the Bills know how to get into playoff mode
bobinaz replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the Jets losing last night, now is the time the Bills need to step up, pull their heads out of the butts and stop making mistakes. I really think with Kelsay back in the line up it's going to make a difference. They'll be able to get some pressure on the outside and having Dareus clogging the middle. I think the O-line will be fine with the shuffling they've been doing. My only concern is the WRs with Stevie not 100% and lack of a speed receiver. Chan is going to have to do something different on offense if we want to have a change to get into the playoffs. The bunch formation with the WRs was working, start mixing in some playaction and get Fitz to roll out of the pocket more. We win in Miami, look at how the Broncos and Patriots D stuffed the Jets O and pressured Sanchez and take a win there, then we're home against the Titans. The Titans are going to be a pushover nor will Denver and San Diego, but I truly believe that if Chan can right this ship, we can take the wild card. You know the wildcards will be coming from the AFC East and North. It's there for the taking for Buffalo. If they don't, then a winning record will make me happy and show a sign of progress. I know I've stated the obvious but I'm just another optimistic Bills Fan!!!! -
Official Bills-Jets Live Game Thread

But the two pass interference calls killed them.... -
Rest in peace Kent. You'll be missed.

I haven't watched any Giants football this season yet, so I'm not sure what their defense brings to the table? With Osi and Tuck, what will Chan be serving up to counter the pass rush? Will they be grinding it out with Freddy and some screens while the front 7 over pursue? Or will Fitz be looking to go over the top with some long balls? The only thing I've read on Eli is that he's thrown for over 1400 yards and several TDs and INTs to match. I'm not sure about their run game. What will be the defensive game plan? I know with Brady the defense was all about stopping him and with KC/Oakland the run was the main focus. What kind of defensive schemes will we see? Help anyone?

Why Bills Will Circle Eagles Wagon
bobinaz replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree....the emphasis is time of possession. Long sustained drives with lots of run plays to keep Vick off the field and our D fresh. -
WFAN (NYC) afternoon guys both picked...
bobinaz replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills will be as motivated as the Eagles will for this game. I personally think all the hype and attention the Bills received after the Pats game did take their mind off preparing for the Bengals. This week there's been no attention, no hype, no extra media interviews; it's all been directed at the Eagles. I think the pressure of a four game losing streak, the high expectations and being on the road is going do the Eagles in, and the Bills win. With that in mind, in order to win we know what they must do: 1. Contain Vick; plain and simple, don't over pursue 2. Run Forrest, Run!!!! Sustain long drives, keep Vick off the field, let out D rest up. 3. Keep the passing game going with screens and slant routes, just get to the 1st down marker. 4. Keep Fitz upright; with Babin they may need to keep a TE or RB in to pick up the blitz, especially if Hairston struggles 5. Get McKelvin help over the top. I fear he'll cost us some points or worse yet the game. So I know none of the above is rocket science, but if the offense sputters and can't get the 30+ points we've been accustomed to lately, then the D is going to have to step up. I just hope George Edwards gets this D ready and has a plan to stop Vick. If not, it's going to be a long, brutal game. -
Which one of you guys is this from last Sunday?
bobinaz replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised they even got up to help the person. Let's hope they didn't let him drive afterwards. Pretty stupid. -
I think the combination of the two outside is a good move. Teams have already been taking the play away from Merriman's direction, so now they'll have to choose their poison with both on the field. Moats is very good a rushing the passer. I think we'll see some sacks from both of them tomorrow.
-
I believe you all have some good thoughts on this. We all know the media will have a field day if we lose because the Raiders racked up a ton of running yards. Who cares?! This team proved last year, week in and week out that last week's game was last week; forget it and move on. Chan has doen a good job of instilling in these players that you have to take it one game at a time. Relish for a day that win, but there's work to be done. He isn't going to let them sit back on their laurals and think they can sleep walk into next Sunday. I have listened to Fitz's pressers and he too knows it's only one game and not to get too excited. I think he and Chan have imposed this mentality on the team. This is going to be a tough game fought in the trenches and the score will be close. I feel the key here is for the defense to not over pursue, stay in your lanes, and most of all seal off the edges, just like last week. Campbell isn't a threat but I think they'll definetly use the run to set up the pass, with some down field shots. But the secondary is up to the task. They'll see how KC used some misdirection to keep the play away from Merriman. The Raiders will probably try this too, but again they're the type that's going to run it straight up the gut. I'm not sure how much blitzing we'll see either if the Raiders committ to the run with little passing. The defense is much different that it was the last time these two met in 2008. As for the offense; Fitz and the WRs need to get into a rythmn early and stay consistent. Use a lot of screens and crossing routes early to take advantage of the mismatches. The rushing yards will be tough to get. I would use the no huddle often to wear down the Raiders defense; don't let them substitute. I'm not sure about the wildcat this game with Oakland's front 7 and I don't think I'd use Smith to throw either. Chandler is going to have to be the unsung hero as well. Use his speed and size to get open and get the ball to him. We're at home, seasoner opener, the 12th man is alive and well, and the Raiders are coming off a short week with some notable injuries. My gut feeling is the score will come down to a field goal. I predict the Bills win. Final score will be Bills, 23-20.

Buffalo Bills 2011 Week 1 Pump Up Highlight! Get Pumped!
bobinaz replied to WILLIS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was awesome!!!!! Thanks for getting me all psyched and pumped for not only today's game, but for the season too!! GO BILLS!!! -
If they do put him on the active roster, who gets the axe to make room for Jasper? They have one more WR on the roster than they did last year. They could cut Martin.
-
Bills Backers of Tucson, Az Club meets at: Daglio's 250 N. Pantano Rd Tucson Ron Fazio is the club president
-
Thigpen is my surprise cut.....Brown outplayed him. Martin will be gone. I think Hall outplayed White at RB.
-
They look great! And I like the new home jersey to go with the helmet.

Very impressed with starting units on both sides of the ball. Looks like Bell should keep his job at LT. -
Agree, bring in someone who has potential for decent depth.

Is that all you've got there number 76? I do believe this is a discussion board and all are welcome. What, are you the interim moderator?
