  1. If by cursed you mean we get to go back to the Super Bowl, sign me up!
  2. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy 🙄.
  3. So to recap, since it’s “not unusual,” this same story could have been written about, say, [insert NFL head coach & team here]…got it!
  4. So Aaron, are you retiring based on your Insta post? “Yeah, I’m not playing football now.” 🤔
  5. Depends—most Ks drafted at this kind of level, you would expect will also have a boilerplate type of additional provision specifically stating that any ambiguity in the K will not be construed against the drafter, and candidly probably went through so many rewrites/redline versions (every party’s atty has to justify their own costs lol) that it would be difficult to find a section that was not edited at all to begin with. Just imho though.
  6. The Houston comeback game—-and the WC perfect game against the Pats, they can never take either of those away from us!!!
  7. Wonder if Bill heard the news before we did too? 🤔
  8. A lot of effort by the OP but ultimately misguided. McD has brought the Bills back to relevance/power to be reckoned with, and from almost all appearances his players seem to love him. The correct forum for this query about the HC would’ve been more timely in say, any of the drought years imho.
  9. How times have changed since a certain poster here claimed to have bet 5K on the Vikings (against the Bills) on the eve of the leap heard ‘round the world 2018
  10. Can you imagine what we’d have to pay the likes of Kyle Orton today if the Bills were still sucky and middling the QB position during a drought? Positional inflation for the sake of inflation without being anchored to performance boggles the mind…
  11. Only for that portion of any season left after the Bills are done for the year…this year was no exception.
  12. Happy belated Bday Jim! Thanks for the memories, and best wishes to you and yours for the coming year!
  13. If you ding Rodgers for his playoff performances, then how can Marino stay in your top 5 over say, Elway or Kelly even? May I add that Marino not once, not ever, beat Jim Kelly in the playoffs—despite facing him there almost every year during the Bills 90’s run…as for regular season ball, Rodgers is more than on par with Marino there, imho. That 92 AFC Championship featured the leg of Steve Christie in particular—Kelly was just coming back from a bad knee(?) injury and still seemed gimpy/rusty, yet was more than a match for Marino in Rich Stadium South.
  14. Thanks for posting OP, I think what the Cover 1 crew posts is great and thoughtful content across the board. Also like Parrino/Talbot’s Shout podcast, & the Buffalo Plus content with Catalana et al., fwiw. It’s pretty neat having so many resources as Bills fans at our fingertips for content compared with what was available during our last SB window run in the 90’s…
  15. And continue the “2nd best” runner up type media QB narratives for the rest of what will probably be a legendary career for Josh? No thanks 🥴—even in the years we’re not in it, I’d rather see a variety of teams/QB’s bubble up for one hit wonders than constant Mahomes overkill, imho.
  16. Still throwing a football for a living? That’s not nothing!
  17. Yeah, but as NFL royalty, can he wear the crown as well as this guy? 🤔
  18. Josh is at least as funny as Peyton, and would smash it as an SNL host imho—he has great comedic instincts.
  19. This is a very cool reason for a Euro road trip, as if more was needed—but they will have to get on the same page with respect to Covid/travel restrictions, so not sure how the logistics will work in the short term? I was over there last for the 2006 World Cup, was an absolute blast.
  20. Changing the game to before the SB instead of keeping it the week after, ensures the double whammy of both less viewership as football season still not over, as well as players from top 2 teams will never play…what’s not to love? 🤔
  21. I believe it was one of the nfl films yearbook vids for the early 90’s teams that pointed out Ted was great at getting year over year improvement from JK, and this was sorely missed after he left. As good as Jim was, I wonder how much better he could’ve ended his career on had Ted stayed. Hopefully we won’t be saying the same thing about Daboll, but my gut tells me we won’t . It’s a shame how often it happens to you during charitable fundraiser roll calls around here!
