You’re not wrong—he won the job coming out of TC/preseason fair and square! -
I'm sure glad Josh Allen is our quarterback

It’s so weird to actually look forward to our QB being forced from the pocket, as he can destroy the D on the move like no other!!! -

Baker Mayfield to Carolina rumors heating up...
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just like we all got to watch Brady own the division for 20 years and pine for what might have been his draft year. That said, having Allen as our QB makes football so fun to watch, even more electric at times than our no-huddle days… -
And yet somehow we’re still considered better (including on O) than we were in January, and #1 in King’s power rankings based on those same moves… https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/05/23/2022-nfl-power-rankings-fmia-peter-king/

Jim Kelly on the all time passing list
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Marlton Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not for nothing but during the years they were all going head to head, Kelly routinely played more playoff games by default as the Bills were going deeper, so per year his average games played would be highest…for sure vs Marino/Moon, with more commensurate hits/wear/tear…the beatings he took in the SB’s alone were something to behold. Will never forget el cheap shotto Ken Norton Jr launching at Jim’s knees to take him out early in SB XXVII, and the concussions from SB XXVI, etc. -
Heath Farwell being “honest” with JAX media…

Will probably be a “Real Sports” or 30 for 30 type documentary on the “greatest NFL game ever played” at some point in the future after a lot of the parties have retired, so they can speak more freely? -
Jo Pa did try to recruit Jim out of high school to be a LB…Kelly said no thanks and proceeded to beat Penn State as Miami’s QB

Can the Ukrainians make any use at all of historical parallels? Reading this off Drudge earlier today about the now standard Russian artillery-centric frontal attack (throwback) tactics being employed https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/theyre-in-hell-hail-of-russian-artillery-tests-ukrainian-morale/ar-AAY3MQM, in turn made me think of German General Heinrici’s late WW2 defensive doctrine, that called for pulling all frontline troops in his sector out of the main battle lines being targeted by the Reds, shortly before the artillery barrages started. Then jump from ca. 10km back to re-occupy the main line at the end of the barrages but before the infantry charges that followed. He used this to no small effect in conserving the defensive punch of the relatively paltry numbers assigned to his command, up to the last days of the war. Just some food for thought from the lessons of military history… (for some reason this link had issues embedding so you may need to copy/paste): https://warfarehistorynetwork.com/2017/06/08/masterful-german-defense-battle-of-seelow-heights/ ‘To ensure German frontline troops survived the artillery bombardment that typically preceded a major Soviet attack, Heinrici planned to withdraw the men from forward positions the night before the attack and have them wait out the bombardment nearly 10 kilometers behind the front line…Heinrici expected the attack to occur on April 16 based on interrogations of captured Russian soldiers and had taken the necessary steps to shield the Ninth Army from the full fury of the Russian artillery. For the most part, the German infantry stationed in forward positions had pulled back to the third line of the first position the night before and, therefore, survived the rain of Soviet shells. Afterward, Zhukov was roundly criticized by his fellow generals for sticking to the doctrine of using a lengthy preliminary artillery bombardment. “As usual, we stuck to the book and by now the Germans know our methods,” said Colonel General Vasili Kuznetsov, commander of the Third Shock Army. “They pulled back their troops a good eight kilometers. Our artillery hit everything but the enemy.” ‘

As it should. Different eras, although I believe Allen would make his mark regardless of era, that’s how much of a unicorn he is, imho. That said, Kelly nationally is under-appreciated compared with his peers, solely bc of the SB losses. Kelly’s 10 years were nothing short of special, and as a new fan outside of Buffalo during his era, he’s directly still responsible for turning me into a Bills lifer—I highly doubt I’m the only one. -

This team seems to genuinely like spending time with one another, and I believe this will carry over into the dog days of Summer and the waiting test of the season…these guys can become legendary for Buffalo! -
Yes Miami, by all means please continue to buy into your own hype machine!! No need to ACTUALLY watch Tua throw in a real game .

With the insane toe tapping impossible sideline catches that seem to be his bread and butter, I have to be honest that I’ve been most impressed with his development over any of the rest in our WR corps…convince me that he’s not on a future WR 1 trajectory already?
