FWIW, on the Buffalo Plus pod yesterday with Dan Fetes and his NE sports journalist guest (link here), they discuss that after this hit happened, Belichick apparently came up to McD during the postgame handshake and said what his guy [Gronk] had done was BS...(not that Belichick probably did anything about it internally though? At least I don't recall ever hearing anything to that effect).

If you polled Western Pa people, they all consider the Ohio border to be the starting gateway to the Midwest--they still consider themselves to be northeasterners, even if barely across the line. 😀

I dunno, growing up in Western Pa, just like Buffalo those folks lived and died by how the Steelers game had gone that week—but I totally agree with you on college ball in the South—these people are nuts about it!

Honestly part of me thinks Allen probably realized sometime early this year if not sooner, that Dorsey wasn’t the right guy for OC, and based on body language since JB took over, Allen couldn’t be happier about the change from a purely coaching perspective, no matter how much he probably appreciated Dorsey as a friend off the field, just imho.

Part of what makes TBD so great are threads like this—detailed, helpful responses and a real sense of community shines through. Now I’m going to show myself out.

I will say it was nice to see the Bills do everything right after the last Cook fumble against the Chargers, and come up big in all phases/coaching decisions to close out the game. Have to credit McD and the staff for improvement in late game management there, and hope that continues to where we can start calling it a trend!

Bills pull 1st and 2nd string early in the 3rd Q, so no running up the score too bad—plus a late garbage time TD for the Bolts, gives us a final of 38-10, Bills cruise again.

Of all the weeks to be light on the interior line (if DaQuan still out and Phillips out) against the run, I feel best about it in this spot, as weather won't be an issue and I fully expect the Bills to pile up points early and often, forcing the Bolts to go to the air more often than not. Hopefully we get some help back by the time NE and Miami games roll around however...
