  1. A great vignette showing what is possible even in the darkest of times such as that war…good reminder of that OP. Also reminiscent of the Christmas truce of 1914, when soldiers spontaneously laid down their arms and locked hands across the bloody trench lines of Western Europe for a few inexplicable days of peace and “fraternization” with the enemy (that their superiors could not understand and sought to prevent). The 2005 movie “Joyeux Noel” depicts that event, fwiw.
  2. Occurring at an average yardage gain depth of 8.5 on first down, bet. 🥴
  3. In fairness the refs were awful, how many phantom PI calls was it by the end? I lost track 🙈.
  4. KC will win on a controversial PI non-call in the end zone to stifle the Texans in the Red Zone on final play…book it.
  5. Good guys: 38-13 (furious garbage time scoring by the Cheatriots against our D-squad substitutes lets them break into double digit territory, after 5-TD Josh leaves the game for good at halftime up 35-0. Unfortunately, our backup QB is not great)
  6. lol, came here to post this—awesome stuff! 👏
  7. But each athlete is also a product of their time to include the contemporary standards of preparation, nutrition, strength and conditioning—or lack thereof…Babe wouldn’t be drinking and smoking in the dugout, and Jim would probably be training more in the offseason and taking better care of his body, etc. Those types of changes would also translate to statistical improvements logically.
  8. I didn’t mean to imply that he was—I just went off on a tangent ranting since his name was brought up and yes, I’m still bitter 🙈.
  9. Provided lots of dashed hopes and dreams! He was the equivalent of eating empty calories with zip nutritional value—dude could put up numbers, but for us never when it counted most.
  10. Kelly routinely outdueled other HOF QB’s from his era—and he most certainly had the arm—he threw it just shy of 80 yards (78) deep at his pro day after having rehabbed from a devastating college injury at the U, prompting Don Shula to leave on the spot and comment, “I’ve seen enough, the kid can throw” (Armed & Dangerous by JK & Vic Carucci); I would encourage some more visits to the YouTube archives circa ‘88-‘93 before spouting off too much about supposed deficiencies in his overall abilities! Also fun to watch would be any USFL Gamblers Kelly footage—that’s like watching Josh Allen going to town today… https://youtu.be/3EtVk0Cixjw?feature=shared
  11. We deserve at least one decent ref, and by decent I mean having a tendency to help us out in a time of need! 🥴😁
  12. Sure seems like we’ve seen this movie before, where the media starts fawning over “gritty” Mahomes playing through an otherwise “crippling” injury—which magically goes away once he plays the Bills…🤷
  13. I also swear I saw a Detroit player’s knee make initial contact with the ball while it was squirting out from Taron’s hands at the beginning of the play, and push it back into the pile—but that is purely anecdotal 🤷. Either way, kudos to the Bills (Taron) not letting Detroit wrestle it away while the refs looked on dumbly for 10 minutes (probably hoping for a Detroit takeaway)…
  14. Guess we know where this upcoming draft is headed (again), but we don’t have much choice…need to get DL right!!
  15. The fact that Josh took the time/relative effort to make this kid’s day with a marking memory is especially cool given that this was all after such a crushing game outcome where no one would’ve begrudged Josh a little bit of pouting/sour grapes alone time 🤷, imho—instead, he’s still focused on others, and I really appreciate that about him!
  16. 23-19 Bills win a nailbiter. Both O’s settle down and face D’s that came to play, resulting in a more grinding it out type of game…
  17. “Tell Beane I want that guy who’s name rhymes with tuba!”
  18. Luckily his contact balance will permit him to join Ringling Bros. as a solid backup career plan…
  19. Well, we know it’s not K. Coleman.
  20. Enjoy this moment with unquestionably the most talented QB to have ever put on the charging Buffalo (or standing for that matter), nay, in the NFL, as all of us who lived through the drought can attest is a thing of beauty!!! What a night, what a team, what a quarterback…
  21. And both times the recipients of this lucky largesse were the conference #1 seeds!
