  1. Not a sample size large enough to make that judgment, and offset by good additions in spots on the front end of this rebuild so jury is out
  2. Because he executed a clear plan and competent vision to make the Bills great again? My short term memory is a bit fuzzy I’ll admit, but I seem to recall a bunch of go nowhere middle of the road mediocrity as every regime before him too since Butler left. Pretty sad if we are at the point of wanting that guy back. No thanks have seen how that movie ends and I don’t need an encore. This team needed to be rebuilt from the studs up, and yeah it’s sucked a lot this year but there is light at the end of the tunnel given all of the resources about to come our way to allow us to get better fast.
  3. Because the inverse of that (also known as this year) is a definite handicap, so the issue is one of flexibility to go out and get quality additions—of course no guarantees but definitely preferable to the straight jacket we’re in now. Flash enough cash and even the most warm weather loving FA’s will land here
  4. Are the Raiders boards in full on meltdown yet? At least we kinda expected not to be good this year, but I’m sure raider nation had a different expectation coming in, especially with Gruden singing the praises of the roster on his way in, while hiding a proverbial leaf blower behind his back.
  5. Not pathetic like the Ofer Lions, Browns x1, and then oh yeah they did win at least one game another time; the 2016 Rams, Colts post Manning, the Jags before Marrone...is that a decent place to start?
  6. You can say that about any team who’s needed help to get in since the wild card format was introduced. Don’t overlook the fact they had to bounce back from a midseason skid, which they did, and win against Miami earlier that same day. Were you saying this same thing the day that the drought was broken?
  7. Kelly’s injury senior year is why he fell on draft day. Manziel had to start on day 1 because, Cleveland. Kelly was a legit heisman candidate in college before off-field issues and injuries. Kelly has not even had a chance to prove himself on an NFL field yet.
  8. Denver had the luxury of sitting him while he recovered from serious injury...Cleveland, where QB’s go to die, never had that luxury and are almost always forced into starting their unlucky draft picks day 1. In the meantime CK worked his way back up to being a play away from starting. And we have yet to see him play on Sunday so how does this compare to Manziel?
  9. Actually his mom is a teacher and dad works at Wegman’s, and has for many years, and Chad has played where he played based on his own abilities, so... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.denverpost.com/2017/05/05/chad-kelly-broncos-mr-irrelevant/amp/
  10. I guess you could structure a K that lets the Bills out with little to no guaranteed $$ and is incentive laden?
  11. Can’t argue with that but for not knowing what’s really going on with this kid’s penchant for drama off field. Uncle Jimbo hasn’t been able to get through to him yet
  12. Definitely not against taking a flyer on him but he needs to address whatever’s going on between his ears, otherwise what’s the point? Also not sure what the league will do as separate player conduct discipline, has to be factored in.
  13. You’re right, we are both absolutely entitled to our opinion. Will leave it at that
  14. To mark the occasion of our upcoming battle with the GOAT (unfortunately even JK thinks that's true), and maybe as a distraction from the temperature around here, let's have some fun with this and put out the best memes TB12 has ever been associated with. No prizes for the winner except maybe a shovel-full of likes--have at it.
  15. Really? Can't we just have some fun around here every now and then without it immediately turning into a 'we suck at life' response?
  16. He raised it as an excuse, or tried to justify his roster spot with faith? My response that you were quoting was aimed at correcting the obvious fallacy that McD somehow makes game roster decisions based on a religious test, which is more than a bridge too far, and is based on no objective facts whatsoever or trustworthy sources inside OBD. Never heard NP say that the reason he played the way he did was because of his beliefs. Hardly an excuse for how he played at the end. You can say what you will about him, and many have to the point of ridiculousness, but attack the guy for what he shows on the field, and leave the rest alone where it belongs, that's my point. I don't understand the incessant need by a few here to make these crazy leaps of no-logic just because a player dares utter that there's more to life than between the hash marks. I have no doubt your life consists of more than the Bills too.
  17. Can you “convert” this into an actual football insight? You’ve done your best on this and other threads, to turn this into some kind of a debate about spirituality and knocking any player for it, yet seemingly miss that each Bills’ player or coach, just like everyone else here, make personal decisions about faith, none of which has anything whatsoever to do with their roster role or football acumen/ability. Although, isn’t it ironic that a Christian like Drew Brees plays at a high level for the “Saints?” That smells like a conspiracy to me for which Loomis and Payton should be fired—by your logic. C’mon man, I know you’re better than this kind of intellectually vacant posting. Can we talk ball ? now?
  18. That would require some solid special teams play—do we trust Crossman enough to coach that part up? Would be a great new thread—which coordinator do you trust the least right now? Lol
  19. Tough enough to stare down cancer multiple times without complaining? Yeah, I’d say he can still at least pick up the 1st down against that Patsy D.
  20. Hate it for that kid and the whole Kelly family—really thought he’d worked through his off-field issues already. Hope something good can still be salvaged from his incredible potential
  21. JA’s development, or future lack thereof, is the key—he becomes good, McBeane stay put, no question
  22. Careful now, you’re setting up the narrative for the fire everyone crowd just in case the Bills pull out a win, to cheapen its significance ? No Matt Patricia ladling in that soup this year though
  23. Shady I like your takes 99% of the time on here; have to disagree with you on this one though. Everyone’s own take on faith is an intensely personal decision that they have to make for themselves, and I doubt Carr’s faith choices have had any bearing whatsoever on the Raiders locker room this year. My statement of taking Carr over Bortles is a purely football take—have no idea what’s going on in either man’s heart.
  24. Goliath must stumble sometime. Why not Monday? No one on that team is taking the Bills seriously so I like this as a trap game. At the very least will be a lot closer than people think, maybe down to the last few min of the 4th.
