  1. Some posters on here probably would be happy to see them go, sad to say, just so they could revel in the schadenfreude of the moment and rub it in the "homers'" faces. I for one haven't forgotten how in vogue it was to speculate about the inevitability of the Bills packing up to Toronto after Wilson passed (seemed like the powers that be had already been prepping that move with the yearly travesty that was otherwise known as playing a "home" game at the Rogers Centre) or some other locale like LA, and all Pegula did was fork over a pile of money, make clear the Bills were staying put, and immediately cancel the Toronto series. He gets a serious pass for a lot of things as a direct result. Oh, and I think he was the owner for the Bills breaking the Drought last year?
  2. ^^^^^^This. Feel the same way, I think to keep control of the locker room and everyone's heart still in it, tonight's game will have to be a lot closer than people are thinking it will be, and the O has to find a way to make something, anything, happen through at least 2-3 quarters of competitive ball. Wouldn't be shocked at all if the Bills deliver a statement game tonight, in a good way. Here's hoping anyway.
  3. On the surface at least, it would’ve made sense to keep Haley who has a proven track record with Pittsburgh and was liked by Roethlisberger, for Mayfield’s development while axing Hue—but I’m sure more will be coming out in the next few days as to why both were let go instead of just 1. Or, it could just be because, well, Cleveland.
  4. I’m fairly confident I could pass at least a 3rd grade spelling test thank you very much! Also, I have no problem calling out this franchise for errors once all of the facts are in, but in this case, it is apparently the OP who has decided to render a verdict based on opening statements alone. I’m just curious where this thread was while Rosen was getting hit with the ugly stick one week prior? Point is, your 1st sentence is right. As for the rest of it, yes I remain optimistic about Allen because he blows the rest of his class away in terms of where his physicality could take him. If I’m proven wrong, I’ll own it then. In the meantime threads like these need to take a hike.
  5. Why yes, that 12 point comeback against the world beater 49ers led by a backup named Beathard, definitely changes everything, especially all of the pick-6’s that highlighted Rosen’s previous outing and multiple beat downs. How has he separated himself again from the pack including Allen?
  6. Has he shown something significantly better than JA thus far that would validate taking him over JA if you rewound to draft day?
  7. <yawnnnn>. And once more into the breach! To point out that Beane had NOTHING to do with not drafting Mahomes. He was still in Carolina my good man. But you’re right, I’m just an old fool who disagrees with this steaming hot take.
  8. I agree with the premise that it hinges on JA becoming a comparable success story—everything with this regime will be judged through those lenses—even the hand wringing for Peterman goes away if JA pulls it together.
  9. The “search” feature available on these boards prior to posting a “new” topic is woefully underutilized. The ‘KC rules’ threads are probably the worst at this?
  10. Maybe DA could skate through testing for just this week though? The NFL needs to do the Bills a solid and suspend random drug screens for the duration of the season just in case that helps
  11. Kevin was underrated! ?
  12. Except Brady? Oh wait he was a 1st rd talent taken in the 6th round. CK fell because of his injuries and off-field questions, but was def not a talent issue.
  13. You’re right, the devious plot to uproot their families and buy homes in Buffalo was all part of their clever ruse!! They really just want to see how long it takes before Pegula fires them!
  14. Would totally take this tix off your hands if I wasn’t in Hotlanta with a new baby in tow, lol. Am on the Fitzy family planning plan—so far 3 & counting
  15. Somebody get Alex Guerrero on the horn and give him privileges with the Bills training staff stat!!
  16. His best games statistically did always come at the expense of the Patsies ? https://www.google.com/amp/www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/32458/in-thurman-thomas-days-bills-patriots-was-very-different%3fplatform=amp
  17. 90-93 Bills run, Pirates were great with Leyland at the helm, although heartbreaking finishes st the hands of the Braves back to back, and the Pens were awesome with super Mario. Other than the Pens, who are perennially competitive, I had no idea how lucky I was to see such good results from my teams at the time—the Bills and the Pirates would both go on to outduel each other for longest dry spells of course, fun stuff!
  18. Not to try to one-up you or anything, but Steeler fans are a special breed unto themselves of obnoxious; the first NFL game I ever attended was the MNF shellacking the Bills suffered at the old bowl 3 Rivers Stadium ? in 1993, 23-0. As a young kid so excited to go watch the Bills play in person for the first time, I was decked out in my Kelly knock off jersey (had to buy it myself so was watching my pennies—still own it of course) and a brand new white Bills hat. During the game was heckled by some drunk clowns which I took in stride, but that same crew turned aggressive after the game and followed me and my friends down the concourse, grabbed my hat while pushing me to the ground from behind, and when one of my friends (who was decked out in Steeler gear) tried to jump in and get the hat back, he was sucker punched and then they were gone, just like that. Of course, security was nowhere to be found until after the fact. Anyway, I realize all fan groups have their bad apples, but Steelers fans are right up there for my money—and I say that even with the good offset of many of my family and friends growing up being Steeler fans.
  19. ^^^^^^This. Could not have said better. The cool part is that what he’s shown since he retired proves he’s an even better person off the field. May not be the NFL’s QB GOAT, but he’s our franchise GOAT, IMHO.
  20. Let’s make that a more permanent change back please IMHO!
  21. I’ve wondered about Culley also and why they wouldn’t take a look at bringing in someone like Palmer who JA already has trust in, to beef that part of the staff up?
  22. LeSean doesn’t strike me as the type to lay low and keep quiet if the Bills put him on ice for no good medical reason. Also, does McD enjoy standing at the podium to answer questions following a bad loss to the point that he wouldn’t have as many able bodies out there as possible with what little talent there is in the offensive cupboard right now?
  23. <sigh> That’s going to do wonders for improving Buffalo’s rep on the national stage
  24. Point taken. Hopefully the process yields demonstrable results with the amount of resources about to fall in their laps
  25. Triple option ala Marshall or the latest iteration with Paul Johnson here locally Ga Tech come to mind ?
