^^^^^^This. No need to mention any names, anyone who’s spent enough time on these boards already knows exactly who falls into the JA negative nellies group @The Red Kingis talking about. While still early, the fact is there is something different, an intangible anything’s possible type quality to this kid in a good way, that gives an old 90’s SB era fan like me a jolt of optimism that’s been sorely missed for way too long. Go Bills!!!

I was responding to Jalen in the hopes he reads our boards after this one ?. Def not aimed at you bro
-
Love the optimism!! I would definitely have to pause and at least think about it a little bit, because JA’s an athletic freak who once harnessed could be the thoroughbred that blows everyone out of the water—he did nothing today but reinforce that, setting a franchise record in the process with his legs. I’m hoping he will become a hybrid between Jim Kelly’s arm strength and Flutie’s legs—that is basically unstoppable

Who cares Jalen. A win is a win, and JA took what you gave him to smack yinz around a little bit. Enjoy the plane ride out homey.

(hypothetical) Alabama vs. Bills spread
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many players on the Bills roster right now are players on an NFL roster? Exactly. How many Bama players (who played the Citadel to a 10-10 halftime score last week) will end up on an NFL roster? Optimistically half of the squad? 75%? Just sayin’. Also, what kind of a difference maker is it to have Saban on the sidelines? In college, unreal. In the NFL, not so much (see, Dolphins experiment). You just can’t compare an oranges to apples world like this. -
I wonder how much of it also would be an emphasis on playing, coaching etc from young age and being around the game more than the average kid coming up, so makes sense more would be drawn to that as a career choice. And probably very “holey”?

Who recalls this game from Thanksgiving in 1976?

Bo “Knows” this and is sorry about that! -
Though I thought it was implied, I should have clarified that I meant relatively speaking for what the Bills were hoping for from him. To your point, even NP made the top 1% and I’m sure has broken a million as well in total earnings☺️, but no one here would call him a success on the gridiron either, lol

I think they also dug ditches and welded during the off-season for extra income! Ok, maybe that’s a stretch, but still, they definitely weren’t that far removed from that

Allen best Bills QB of 21st century?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Periodically, but never consistently long term. Granted, I’m being nitpicky -
I doubt this year’s roster construction for WR’s had anything to do with NP; that would not make any sense for any kind of rebuilding plan where you are trying to work with your long term pieces—however, regardless of which QB was starting, it’s safe to say the WR’s as a whole became a definite fail, and they have been working to address this in-season the last couple weeks to their credit. Single greatest reason for the fail would be every pass play targeting KB. May as well spike the ball at the line and work with one less down, same net effect.

Gevalia has never turned in a bad product, no matter the type. As far as national type brands, that’s a can’t miss. Incredibly smooth not bitter finish. Signature blend is my fav but they also make a good Colombian and French roast for darker blends. Cheers!

That’s the silver lining here, something else to be thankful for today?—McBeane are capable of chucking their ego at the door and making necessary changes as opposed to Wrecksy who insisted on doubling down and bringing his Santa ?? impersonator brother to add another flavor of incompetence to his swan song season

Been a Bills fan all my life but somehow was not introduced to TBD until this year—and am very thankful that I’m here now! Thanks to everyone for lively conversations, spirited debates, the humor, and most of all, the shared love for the Buffalo Bills—it’s nice to know we’re not alone even if living outside of WNY. And I hope everyone gets to enjoy their families today and all of the things we may take for granted the rest of the year☺️. Happy Thanksgiving ???

^^^^^This. FYI, I’m not a wallflower bleeding heart type of new school parent. I’m not against corporal punishment as a means to an end. But my concern is that AP has already demonstrated clearly that he is not familiar with necessary discipline boundaries or apparently the ability to control his anger issues in the heat of the moment when it comes to his kid—so how can we sit there and feel comfortable that magically he doesn’t go overboard with a belt either? Which let’s face it guys, is a tool that is easy to do some serious damage with even if it’s not intentional, to say nothing of when it is. Sorry, but I don’t trust him.

D2D, that means we would also have a good win against the Jags this week in our rear view mirror, sending that pretentious Benedict Arnold Marrone and loudmouth Ramsey packing so I’ll take it! Prost! ?

KC vs. LAR vs. 1992 Bills vs. SF No Punt Game
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I disagree with your premise that the Bills would have been even more out-coached with another week (also remember the Bills beat the Giants earlier that same season), I definitely agree that we played right into their gameplan and did not make the necessary adjustments at halftime to account for what they were showing. The 2nd half was basically more of the same. Thurman could've run for 200+ the way he was on fire, and the Bills staying on the field so long on D was a back breaker. Still, Norwood was hitting from 45+ in pregame warmups and all of this is moot if he boots it through just this once. Nice article below on the 4 in a row: https://www.cantonrep.com/article/20160203/SUPERBOWL/160209751 -
The "Process:" Not Just a McDermott Cliche
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure, but his quotes/coaching platitudes from this piece 5 years ago sure look an awful lot like what we get to hear from McD at OBD most days... https://www.boston.com/sports/extra-points/2013/07/27/belichick_preps_for_camps_second_day Belichick's "process management" style discussed here: https://www.jaywren.com/the-power-of-the-process-management-nick-saban-and-bill-belichick/ -
Now the fact that we can still have this sort of optimism and we are not yet mathematically eliminated is something to be thankful for!

Totally agree. JK noted the quick turnaround in "Armed & Dangerous" (quality early 90's read BTW, most here should enjoy) and that there was way too much sampling of the local night life before the game--there's an anecdote in there about meeting up with Lawrence Taylor at a shoe modeling establishment which seems nuts to me in trying to prepare for the biggest game of your life, but different times back then (wow I feel old typing that). I guess it's still not as crazy sounding as Babe Ruth's generation chugging beers in the dugouts between innings . I feel like if the Bills knew was coming the next 3 years successively down the road, they would have observed curfew a bit more that week? Still, ended up only one kick away from the W, and that kick easily could have turned in left despite everything leading up to it!
