Why I gave up on the process
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Joeziehmer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is definitely slowing traffic down accordingly on other threads...I vote we get a new "like" option identifying it as a troll post, with a corresponding slide down the community rep rating standings. -
If nothing else, it places a certain segment of zebra clowns on notice (I still believe most try to do their jobs as fairly as possible, but...) that Hughes will call 'em like he sees it back. In this case, well deserved. The NFL has enough to worry about on its plate right now in terms of PR disasters (domestic abusers, attendance, lingering anthem, Kaep) to also let its officiating no longer be above reasonable reproach. Expect quick/decisive action?

Why I gave up on the process

OP, this is the most intellectually vacant thread that you've posted since yesterday, and has so little grasp on reality at OBD, that how can it be anything other than a troll train careening off the tracks? All aboooooooaaaarrrrrdddd!! -
Christmas Movie All-Time Recommendations

It’s in the queue, thanks for the rec. -
Ummm...so we could have kept his useless behind on the roster taking up space and paying him to do so, or we could cut bait like we did, free up the roster spot/reps to a more deserving talent, and possibly still have to pay balance of this K for this season IF no one else takes a flyer on him in the meantime. Where are we not supposed to give credit for cleaning up this flotsam again?

OK. I'll Say It-Allen will be best Bills QB ever
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to beacon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB lists are always so subjective anymore, given the different rules, eras, etc. to compare across generations, but as a Bills fan, I think it's hard to keep him off of a top 10 list, if we are going by what he meant to the team and ability to lead it to W's consistently, along with being the franchise leader in basically all statistical categories, and being a 1st ballot HOFer. Agreed that his stats are by no means astronomical, especially today, but he also sloughed off 2 years in his prime in the USFL that should've been in a Bills uni. Regardless, I do hope Allen takes the torch from Kelly and runs with it to places we've never seen, like a SB title. Nothing would make me happier, and that's coming from the biggest Kelly homer out there. (Seriously, I challenge anyone to lay claim to being a bigger Kelly fanboy than me, lol). And also to his credit, I'd bet anything that Kelly also wants the Bills to find unrivaled success with Allen at the helm beyond what he gave the franchise. -
Two things I want to see this week from McD
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're welcome. -
Would love it if McD would open up and give us the straight scoop on these moves, but it will be a bunch of coachspeak. Still, it's pretty obvious he needed to go, And Beane is owning it, kudos for that. If this was a Whaley product/regime, KB would remain out there for 99% of the snaps. I jest, but still IMO rare to see an ego check at the door at OBD Front Office through the years like this.

Christmas Movie All-Time Recommendations

Classic awesomeness. If there was a HOF for these movies, Chevy Chase is in hands down as well. -
Check out his Carolina highlight reel, that's why. But why he fell off the planet once he got to Buffalo, who knows. I am changing my sympathies on the Cam Newton/KB exchange during pregame warmups in the preseason game this year however--looks like Cam had every right to be PO'd at him after all. Addition by subtraction

Yep--they grabbed my money when I picked it up from the Wal-Mart bin a couple years back...the nerve of playing on my nostalgic heart strings <sigh>. Gotta love the capitalistic spirit of it I guess -

Thanks for mentioning--I actually didn't know about this 1994 one. The sequel I was referring to is https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2281069/, from 2012, and didn't think was all that. -

@HOUSE, if JA truly does become that good, I'd be happiest for a new generation of youngsters who get a great QB to root for like I did with Kelly, and not just hoping to win on Sundays, but expecting to. -

While obviously VERY premature, I love where your anti-trolling enthusiastic mindset is at. It certainly beats the "Fire Everybody, McBeane, Daboll Suck at Life and We Picked the Wrong Josh" threads that have taken up way too much squatting bandwidth on here over the past few months... Wow, you really are TheFunPolice ? lol -
Cool story for all you history buffs out there
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Speaking of WWI, Peter Jackson of LOR trilogy fame, has completed a labor of love restoration project to bring old B&W footage of that war alive--interesting read: http://www.historyinorbit.com/peter-jackson-is-restoring-colorizing-wwi-footage/ Haven't seen it yet but I'm sure he's done a great job -
For some reason today I'm feeling holiday cheer. Hope you fellow TBDers are also. Keeping that rolling, what's your recommendation for best Christmas themed movies? My all-time fav would be "A Christmas Story" from 1983. Note--there was a sequel, and let's just say, hope you didn't have to pay anything to see that.
