  1. Being totally serious now, I was in Cumming just yesterday for work, it's about 30-45 minutes away from where I live. I've seen some other head scratcher names down here since moving to GA in '03. Maybe you could build a cabin on Round Knob in the north GA mountains--or Hopeulikit is an actual place, along with Climax and Braswell. Ball Ground is another winner. I'm sure other states have their own--Intercourse PA comes to mind. Perhaps one of the other ATL posters here can weigh in as well, like @Augie?
  2. Ha! Wonder how many people actually got this lyric? Good call
  3. Back then the Steelers' home field advantage in 3 Rivers was basically as good as Rich Stadium. Living there at that time, I had more close up info on them than I ever cared to. A monster defense under Cowher with Kevin Greene and Greg Lloyd who were always a tough out, and they always had great backs to go along with it. Eric Green was basically unstoppable as a TE, he would consistently burn the Bills in the red zone because they had to respect the run so much. You're right, not having Bruce that day really hurt us, and the Oline that kept Kelly in a clean pocket and opened up Mack truck sized holes for Thurman the week before against Miami, folded like a cheap suit in Pittsburgh, as tended to happen when playing the Stillers in Pittsburgh during that time. It was a tough day as a Bills fan for sure. Honestly though, maybe I had blinders on and refused to see that the end was nigh, but I still felt like the Bills could've put another deep playoff run together in 96, but the Jags came out of nowhere to put finality on the end of our dynasty. All the more reason to enjoy/savor this Miami clip.
  4. Yeah I checked it out and he’s definitely alive and well over there as of yesterday ?. Is it odd to post a bunch of Bills stuff inside the hockey stuff though and not here anymore?
  5. Thanks for the post; it’s heartbreaking for his losses and uplifting at the same time in terms of how he’s using what’s happened to him for motivation; he could just as easily have folded and gone into a downward spiral and who could’ve blamed him?
  6. Stop cutting and pasting Gugny’s threads!
  7. Shatner’s delivery as Kirk giving Spock’s eulogy (Spoiler ?: Spock dies in Star Trek II) is a Trek classic—how he barely gets the word “human” out is Oscar worthy—lol ?. How does Kirk not get the nod over Picard after watching this??
  8. Quantity, not quality wins wars of attrition!
  9. Good point. Plus the additional punishment doled out by the defenses back then, when the rule book wasn’t so skewed towards the O, and they could basically attack the knees and head at will—to say nothing of the nutritional and workout differences to now that all routinely help lengthen NFL careers.
  10. Should have. Were winning in Tennessee with 16 seconds left until, you know, Wycheck to Dyson on that illegal play.
  11. I bet your grandmother could make a mean lasagna too? (now I'm making myself hungry, great)
  12. Running up or down the stairs getting stuff I forgot on the last trip up or down the stairs--does that count?
  13. True that--he played shifty with a knack for getting open/separation and had solid hands--apparently Levy had to be talked into letting him play offense though, because of how valuable he'd been to the ST unit, racking up one pro bowl after another. All around just a great football player. Deserves to be in the Hall just as much as the rest of that group, if nothing else for a ST category, IMHO.
  14. At least the 2 of them were able to become good friends later in life--especially during his cancer battles, Jim's had Marino there to help support him. Kudos to Marino for that! https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/yahoo-sports-minute/dan-marino-visits-jim-kelly-in-hospital--shares-powerful-moment-with-former-rival-040925320.html
  15. Well, in the absence of being told that I can’t by our overlords, I’ve delegated such authority to myself. You’re welcome!
  16. For the longest time as a kid, I thought clouds were made by airplanes...hey, it made perfect sense at the time seeing the jet contrails
  17. Post of the day @whatdrought! Time to turn our attention back to the defense methinks.
  18. I'd like to think after a long season, he needed to just get away and decompress from the Bills for awhile
  19. If true, I hope that he rots and gets a few sock parties along the way in the big house. Absolutely one of the worst types of crimes anyone could commit against another human being.
  20. I've actually been wondering this for the last couple weeks also--but didn't want to say anything in case it was already known and not good for some reason? @YoloinOhio has basically had almost no competition with getting quality breaking news out to us since the AWOL started!
  21. Oh no, I was trying to keep things civil...oh well Kirk > Picard. http://whatculture.com/tv/star-trek-10-reasons-kirk-better-picard
