What’s your most Controversial opinion?

Ok, well we know he didn’t pick Picard based on that standard. That’s James Tiberius Kirk all the way homey ? -

Well, as long as you and I are talking about the same team, then I'm all for it. -
And just like that, we are all Rams fans.

I'll talk myself into it between now and the SB, as with any team that's played them in the SB since the turn of the century -
Football insurers continue to get out of the market...

What do you think is, or are, the most likely candidates to replace it as the top of the proverbial mountain in the sports landscape? Some might say soccer, with growing demographic shifts inclined to push that along, along with player safety concerns (here in Atlanta, it's been quite something to witness the growth/crowds present for the brand new Atlanta United franchise that just won the MLS cup to boot). Could baseball mount a serious comeback? The people must always have "bread and circuses" to keep them full and entertained. -
90s Bills legacy in serious jeopardy next year...

Heaven help us if 8 wins to secure the division is the reality we are facing next year... -

Oh don't get me wrong--many attorneys will make a boatload of cash over many years along the way to iron out the contractual niceties this would take, and as for denial of liability, well, that's usually the first insurance defense mechanism to pursue regardless of which insurer you want to reference--how would it be that much different? -

If nothing else, we seem to be at the edge of an upward trajectory with our long term starter at the most important position set, whereas this will remain a question mark for the Pats for the foreseeable future post-Brady at the back end of his career, along with how long Hoodie still wants to coach or not. -

Exactly; become an ERISA compliant "pool" type plan funded by the proceeds of the TV packages and potentially additional fees assessed as part of each player's contract, and cut out the middleman so to speak. As for the college/high school/youth leagues, that's another matter however. Sometimes the "win" comes from entering into a settlement where the deep pocket(s) cough up enough to cut off their liability exposure risk and costs of litigation--merits of the case itself may or may not have as much to do with it, sad to say. -
I think it might be more about feeling overlooked that we aren't even getting national recognition concerning the depths of the suffering as fans that we've endured under the brightest of spotlights--in other words, at least give me a pat on the back that you understand what it is I've gone through. Instead, not only did I have to go through it, but now Schefter makes like it never even happened so I don't get props for surviving it? That's insult to injury. At least, that's my fake currency .02 on it.

So you could’ve expected other teams in the same era to do it too, but still only the Bills. -

I hear ya. As recently as earlier the past week I was posting that no one has ever won 3 afccs in a row after the Bills (Miami did do this before us, as D2D pointed out below, but never made it to 4 either), to say nothing of 4. Obviously now NE has joined the 3 in a row crowd. That said I do think that context to everything matters, and (1) we did it before the Pats; (2) we never had to cheat or push the boundaries of what is legal; (3) D’s were much more punishing back in the day towards O’s, and our D while good, was never a steel curtain, so our O consistently thrived and carried the dynasty in spite of facing more punishment arguably than Brady; (4) Brady’s been coached by the best—our coaches for the 90’s Bills were good, but not GOAT; (5) Nutritional/health science advancements are light years beyond where the players were in the 90’s—helping the current crop’s staying power Anyway, feel free to disagree but the above is some of the reason why the 90’s Bills will always be special to me, no matter what BB/Brady do from here. -

There is a realistic hope for us that Allen has the skillset to blow up a game plan designed by Hoodie to stop him, once Allen has skill position and line talent around him to maximize said skillset. And that’s enough to tide me over to 2019, because it’s more than we’ve had during NE’s run of dominance from the get go. -
^^^^^This. I thought it was telling that his journey of personal rediscovery and anger mgmt or whatever you want to call it, conveniently began 5 minutes after the tape dropped and the heat was turned up. I don’t buy he’s made too many heart changes but would love to be wrong about that. Everyone can be redeemed, but they have to want it. Otherwise it’s all for show and means nothing.

You’re right, this post is total PR hype...for the wrong Josh crowd. In the meantime I’ll take the sour taste in my mouth that the Miami season ending game left me with, and wonder whatever shall we do at the QB spot since Allen is obviously such a bust. ? Please. If you can’t really see what your eyeballs are telling you, that this kid is legit, then what exactly were you looking at? The Cardinals all year?

Could a DeSean and LeSean reunion be in the works?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to dezertbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was my 1st thought after reading the OP. Lofton was a good and deep complement for Reed during 90 esp, even on the backside of his career. That said, I still can’t bring myself to consider this possibility as that much to be excited about, probably bc of Shadys recent history and DeSean’s age, diva streaks. -
Our Last Win in the Playoffs
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelly absorbed a ridiculous amount of punishment. Still makes me cringe remembering the spear to the knees that he took from Ken Norton Jr. in XXVII that knocked him out of that one—I think in today’s NFL it would’ve been automatic suspension, flagrant foul, fine, the works. Back then it was any given Sunday lol. -

You’re absolutely right, it was a terrible game, the exact opposite of the week before. I applaud your iron stomach to rewatch it. I actually did the same thing with some of the SB’s; still kills me how well we played at certain points during many of them. Even SB XXVII, check out the first quarter—We drive for points, we block a Dallas punt, and life feels good lol. Then in XXVIII, we basically dominate the whole first half. Still gets me every time. -
