I view it as more of it being the offseason, which warrants this kind of discussion in the absence of actual ongoing games to discuss. Besides, I'll happily take threads like this any day over the fawning Pats board lite that so many other threads here have become the week after the SB. Has BB earned himself the benefit of the doubt when it comes to never pushing any boundaries or not being willing to break the rules, one has to ask? If the answer is “no,” then there must be some kind of an unconventional nefarious angle, otherwise why would he be so concerned about McVay’s whereabouts at that moment? If the answer is “yes,” then he must’ve just been trying to be neighborly and flash McVay one of his customary in game smiles. Also seemed like “Josh” was helping with spotting duties, but hey, I’m sure nothing to see here.

Exactly. The Steelers for whatever reason have almost never been able to solve the Pats rubik's cube, and that combined with the Ravens playing them tough not infrequently, would've made life a lot more difficult for Tomlin & Co coming out of there, imho.

Couldn't agree more. Why on this good earth would you ever want to root for even one more Pats win, playoffs or not, as a dyed in the wool Bills fan? Of course, it's so much easier to jump on a winning bandwagon, I get all that, but even after our L's this year, no one was going to make me embarrassed to wear my Bills shirts around town. There is a difference between respecting the football accomplishments of that team, versus actively rooting for them to win under any circumstances. I do feel however, that there were a lot of other voices here that would seek to set the OPs' straight when it comes to threads that could've easily been put up in any Pats boards, and that this board was not the right place for that kind of fluff. The pats have caused me too much grief through the years as a Bills fan, to ever want them to win again. Here's a toughie--if it came down to the Pats beating somebody in order for the Bills to go to the playoffs, I would still be struggling with who to pull for in that scenario, and that is no joke!

Or, putting it another way, could the Bills have broken the drought here or there before 17 years elapsed, had they not had 2 more virtually guaranteed L’s on their schedule? The years where 8-8 or 9-7 just weren’t good enough, but had they played in a division without the Patsies maybe things could’ve been different?
