  1. Finally, a thread we can all unite around .
  2. Allen's trajectory is trending the right way. Therefore,
  3. But he's still here, still has his faculties about him, and by all accounts is making the best of it while he can--you can't ask for much more after 3 rounds with the big "C."
  4. Hope you also shared this over in the life hack thread??
  5. Definitely always have to have one of his books to read while on vacay--highly entertaining while still letting your brain relax. The Oregon Files series of his is my favorite.
  6. I'd like to take the opportunity here to plug the book "Polar Shift" by Clive Cussler--it'll provide all the hype needed to fear such an event!
  7. Either of which would have been upgrades over a 2018 starting Peterman or washed-up DA, no? Orton flashed at times, and I would argue that for a starter during the "drought" years, he was one of the better ones (relatively speaking), certainly in the tier right below Bledsoe (again, drought years only). Take a look at his 2014 year in Buffalo. His rating of 87.8 is actually higher than Bledsoe's was here, any year, as well as completion %. Both of them threw for more TD"s and yards than Tyrod managed in 2017, while having ratings/completion % in the same ballpark. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/O/OrtoKy00.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BledDr00.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylTy00.htm Point being, McDermott consistently seems to get the most out of his available talent, what little he had offensively last year, and maximizing what he had in 2017, while the 2 other coaches mentioned have already flamed out as failures here in Buffalo with just as much if not more quality available. Marrone's 2014 Waterloo being the Raiders game that the Bills absolutely had to have, only to pull a team dud against a then-rookie David Carr: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/21/bills-eliminated-from-playoff-contention-with-loss-at-oakland/ This year however, is different. The Bills have significantly upgraded at multiple positions of need, and Allen is the franchise who's been missing for so long. If this year is a flop, I'd be more inclined to your point of view. But I think we have a good thing going right now.
  8. At least you got a man cave...my grand plans for when we first bought our house have gone the way of kids' toys/play rooms everywhere it seems...
  9. Am so jealous right now. But glad you took full advantage of the opportunity to interact with him so positively!
  10. Roster quality comparisons first, please! I feel like I'm not stepping out on a limb to say that both Mularkey/Marrone under-performed given what they had to work with from top to bottom on the roster. Will never forget that 2004 team dud against the 3rd string Stillers with all the playoff marbles on the line, there for the taking...
  11. Glass half full or half empty approach? Since we have no reason thus far to believe they weren't being genuine in that moment, why bother stirring the pot this way? I thoroughly enjoyed the series, even knowing that it was edited by OBD, and not HBO.
  12. You managed to pull me back to your reasoning with that just-in-time disclaimer...well-played.
  13. So, would that also mean no more "rivalry" weeks that that NFL prides itself on cultivating?
  14. When you see another off-season thread pondering who will have a better 2019, the Bills or the Jets, this might be advisable :
  15. I don't often wallow in previous seasons schedules that the Bills have played, but when I do, I prefer 1991. Which mod can make this happen?
  16. Also Kudos to Beane for rescuing Kim’s ribbon cutting of the Adpro upgrades with a timely pull at the “cut” point—those scissors must’ve been an oversized cartoon cardboard cutout?
  17. As long as he teaches his kids what not to do whilst traveling down a water slide, maybe he can still come back from this snafu?
  18. It gave me chills hearing Kyle’s speech at the beginning of Ep. 4 about what it means to be a Buffalo Bill and represent the Buffalo community—overall I loved this season of embedded more than last year—so many good parts and I’m re-upping my KoolAid auto ship order for this year as we speak
  19. Electric shaver, problem solved
  20. Well, he has stated on the record that he expects the Jets to win more than Buffalo this year because they’ve hired really good personnel guys...but of course that requires us to ignore the dumpster fire at the very top of that gangrenous pyramid, pun intended
