  1. Oh no you don't. Cannot have yet another WR scrub going somewhere like the Rams or the Pats to be reborn as world-beaters...let's put them all on lockdown and never speak of this again.
  2. Wonder if the Giants fans will be just as happy to open up plenty of seats for Bills fans this week as the Jets crowd?
  3. Couldn't you make a similar argument about Darnold on the other side? And no one is calling his outing a sign of stunted development, to my knowledge? https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/nyj/new-york-jets "QB Sam Darnold (1-for-6 on tight-window throws)" "QB Sam Darnold took the blame for the offensive struggles, saying, "I think we just couldn't really get into a rhythm and I put that on myself." He wasn't sharp. He was pressured nine times, sacked four times and didn't complete a ball longer than 19 yards. Half his completions went to Jamison Crowder (14 catches), all dink-and-dunk variety."
  4. Miami may prove to be the exception here, but overall it's rare for an NFL squad to post consecutive klunkers, and I worry about a Giants squad with a chip on their shoulders coming in for their home opener--that said, we have some things to prove too, and for the first time in forever, if you try to gameplan against us to take away something that worked well the week before (such as Smoky Brown), we have additional quality weapons to go to (Beasley, Foster, the TE's, Singletary as pass-catcher, et al) to where we can still put up chunk plays. Also, our O and D-lines are quickly proving the old adage that wins begin and end in the trenches--Darnold woke up today wishing he had the Bills O-line instead of what he's dealing with right now, lol.
  5. Their problem was going up against a re-charged Bills O that finally finished off their drives when it counted, and a D that just wouldn't quit! Makes me wanna, I dunno, get ready to run through a wall or something!!
  6. Such a point of emphasis during the offseason obviously, and nice to see that he is growing in his overall skillset--I just don't want him (or Coach Dabs) to forget where he came from and what electrified so many of us in the 2nd half of last year, his ability to quickly push the ball downfield. Balance, balance, balance! What an all-around weapon!
  7. Kudos to you for sticking around in a Bills forum after what must've been a heart rending loss on your end.
  8. Don't let your initial dislike of the draft pick cloud your judgment from here on out--it will be a looooonnnnggggg next few decades as a Bills fan if you're not happy with Allen as the starter. The key here, imho, is how Allen kept himself together and didn't waver in his confidence to make the throws that needed to be made--TD pass to Brown perfect example of that--the bad QB's are the ones that don't learn from their mistakes and are incapable of overcoming them. Allen did.
  9. Agreed--can you imagine the pressure the Jets could've been putting on Allen on the interior of the line with Bodine or Groy handing C duties? <Cold Shivers>
  10. As one of the morning WGR jockeys pointed out this AM, they don't have any asterisks by the Patsies latest trophy, just because the Rams didn't have a healthy Gurley playing in the SB, right? It's a next man up league, and no one cares to mark the W-L records any less for it. The Bills made adjustments after the half, the Jests did not, and it showed.
  11. They won because I wasn't wearing a Bills jersey yesterday, only my hat. Success guaranteed!
  12. Sorry, I missed most of what happened in that game--I'm assuming that "Right Josh" came in at some point and engineered the beginnings of a remarkable comeback but for the clock running out, yes?
  13. Except for the whole being able to move the ball part outside of the turnovers, sure, I guess.
  14. For letting the thought cross my mind that I needed to start composing an "I guess you were right @ScottLaw about the Jets" post around halftime yesterday, when I should've just rested secure in the knowledge that no, nothing to be concerned about here whatsoever! Mea Culpa.
  15. I thought the league/individual teams now have spotters in the booth whose sole job is to ferret out possible plays that have concussed players and then pull them out?
  16. This game had it all. Self inflicted effort to steal a loss from the jaws of victory all 1st half and really most of 3rd Q, then a furious rally when JA and co finally hit their groove and learned how to finish—to say nothing of a D with backbone. On to the Giants—let’s make it a little easier this time though for the sake of my blood pressure!
  17. All the Bills have to do is keep winning, and even Schopp’s tiresome we shoulda never dumped Tuhrod act will go away. Great way to pull a game out that never should have been in doubt from the get go—but how cool is it that the Bills have so much swagger that even digging themselves self inflicted holes isn’t enough anymore to keep them down!
  18. Keep an open mind, the tools are all there. He puts it all together, and will be dangerous to defend for years to come, imho. Even my boy JK presided over a couple long losing campaigns before it all came together from '88 onward. For my $$ I figured we had something special with the leap, and don't forget how he ended things with 5 total TD's to end the year on.
  19. Twas the night before battle in the land of the meadow, But all we could think of was that loser Boston 84 fellow. Be of good cheer, it's OK, I know what we've got, So much more than last year, that by a lot. Josh Allen in the house with a cannon most foul Ready to release deep fusillades all with a growl. The non-NY Jesters will feel our wrath gouging 'em hollow, And put Brady on notice of the Week 4 pain that will follow. Time to win the East again after so so many Falls, And to New England psssstt...it really won't matter who's catching Brady's balls.
  20. While we're at it, Bruce still looks swole, did you guys notice when he gave the motivational speech to the team last year? He was still bigger than say, Murphy imho. Probably would still wind up with a better chance at finishing the year away from the injured list. Let's do this!
  21. This whole charade shows everything wrong with today's NFL, imho. In other news, congratulations to Vontae!! You're no longer on the list for worst quitter timing ever! At least you gave your team a half's worth of effort before bailing
  22. Good--we still owe him a teed up payback for Tre, so bring it!...GO BILLS!!!!
  23. As if I needed one more reason to hate the Patsies. Hope they can manage to get him on the field tomorrow and the Steelers hold him to no catches or knock him silly either way.
  24. Right on! Wonder what happens to Drew’s $$ cut if the K is voided for breach by AB? All around not good. To be a fly on the wall when Gruden and Mayock sit down over their 4am film session to discuss this doozy...
  25. Gregg has often been known as “credible.” You know, he may quit on the Jests if he decides to take the standing job offer to become the next league commissioner...
