  1. Mayfield’s road to the MVP crown this year...
  2. Is it terrible that as soon as I saw his name, my first thought was Weezy Jefferson? It’s been a long day
  3. Classic^^^^^. Star Trek VI quoted it best...
  4. Good observation--Thurm did not have that kind of breakaway speed, especially later in his career when the Bills were trying this out, IIRC.
  5. the 90's Bills ran something similar towards the end of their run that sticks out to me, but mostly because it flat out usually didn't work at the time and I would always be frustrated when they called it. But hey, if modern D's aren't prepared for it, carry on Dabs until they prove they can stop us!
  6. Great write-up on this very issue this morning in Peter King's column: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/14/nfl-week-6-devlin-hodges-fmia-peter-king/ "The NFL is Blowing This. I hate talking about officiating. I hate writing about officiating. Fans don’t wake up Sunday morning in Tacoma to watch football and wonder if incidental contact on a Russell Wilson-to-Tyler Lockett pass downfield is enough to constitute interference. They wake up to say, Tough game for Russell today in Cleveland. Hope he can do enough to win. But to me, enough’s enough with this new pass-interference replay rule. Thursday night was the death blow for it" Read the full section he writes about this problem--but suffice to say if one of the media types (as well respected in league circles as King is) is turning the full weight of their soapboxes against the league on this, it probably won't be long before we see substantive changes one way or the other in response, imho.
  7. Rosen makes me laugh, Allen is a winner though. On to the Eagles we roll!
  8. I will sign any petition out there, calling for a return to the red helmets. At this point, I don't even care what uni/color combos would be present below the helmet if I was granted that wish.
  9. ^^^This--although I would like to add, that it would also be a nice change of pace (while we're running through our wish lists) to have a blowout win over an opponent that's never in doubt from the national anthem until the final peanuts vendor has left the building...something like a margin of 14-17 points that the Fins are never able to overcome, with "Right" Josh running for his non-mobile life on obvious passing only situations, chased by the likes of Hughes and Oliver into an embarrassing return to Cardinals 2018 form! It's just too nerve-wracking to sit through all these 4th quarter fireworks (although of course it's great to have confidence that our QB can actually do something with the rock late in games)
  10. Happy birthday Augie! Many many more, and may the Bills give you a proper present this year with a deep playoffs push to boot!
  11. Killing my feet at Disney currently—it’s all about the kiddos having a good time though. Have already exchanged a number of “Go Bills” greetings with fellow fans who are rocking Bills gear down here in FL! Anybody else also at Disney this weekend?
  12. It’s a process...had some plays there he’d like to have back
  13. I never said they will make such moves with alacrity.
  14. Say what you will, but this FO cuts bait when needed, owning mistakes and moving on in a better direction...in the meantime Gruden keeps figuring the Bills castoffs are just what the Dr. ordered lol!
  15. I totally get that D2D—these cardiac kids are still finding their rhythm but when they put it all together watch out! 30+ point weeks are just around the corner
  16. ^^^^My fav line in your excellent write-up, and couldn't agree more. To some, it's an annoying habit that they don't get more "piling on" points in these games--but as we all know, none of that matters if you know what it will take to win each week, and execute on that knowledge successfully (I have little doubt as the O continues to catch up to the D's performance levels, excess points will come regardless). The Rolling Stones may have said it best...
  17. Except in the 4th Q with the game on the line and Allen allowed to reveal his superhero status? Plenty exciting football to watch I’d argue!
  18. I’m going out on a limb here to say that alcohol was a major contributing factor—who here can cast the first stone because they’ve never done anything stupid under the influence? I for one will have to sit this one out
  19. He’s a winner. How the sausage gets made will get better over time—but even so I feel so much more confident already about his play making abilities than any of the scrubs we’ve cycled through in the last 20 yrs.
  20. This team plays with flat out heart.
  21. Perhaps he can arrive to the arbitration session in an Elon Musk Space X rocket? Someone get on the horn and see what it will take to swap out the hot air balloon rental? Or perhaps as part of a traveling carnival? That seems more appropriate... And a high compensatory draft pick to NE...that only seems reasonable under the circumstances
  22. Not as much as Bodine at center scared me last year tho!
  23. ^^^^Agreed--it's not so much that the med-evacs happened against the Pats, but that they happened in the 1st place, and to vital cogs in our playoffs or bust machinery! That's just another gift that keeps on giving. But, if there's one additional noticeable difference between this year's squad versus last, it's that Beane has diligently spent assets to acquire depth at multiple positions, much of which is now being tested more than we'd like, but could mean all the difference between another 6-10 campaign or 10-6, which many here, myself included, have predicted as min # of wins to expect. On a side note, we all know you're cool D2D. After all, your avatar is the epitome of coolness!
  24. D2D, if we can’t raise our expectations this year after such a prodigious offseason and hot start, and now visualize the team going 4-1 after this week, then when? I’m with you on this.
