  1. Did you get a response yet to this question?
  2. Our GM is a straight up class act, and I have no doubt that the emotion he showed was the genuine, real deal. I recall him standing there in the Carolina mid-August heat/humidity, signing each and every autograph request and posing for selfies with the fans queued up long after the 2019 joint practice with the Panthers had ended and others who'd also signed were long gone. Anyone else who was there also remember that? Good guy, and competent at his job--that's a bonus combo worth rooting for!
  3. Finally had the time to devote to this, and overall thought it was a good movie. As others have noted upthread, it still won't dethrone GFs as the standard in the mob movie genre for me (Godfather of course is the orig. classic, but I still prefer watching Goodfellas more), but definitely don't regret the time I spent watching it. Great performance from Pesci, almost didn't know he had it in him to act with such gravitas in this role, imho.
  4. Hire her! Then you have the power to send her straight to the windowless storage room where she can start reorganizing all of those filing cabinets while your other 2 employees catch up on their to do lists. Classic 2 birds with 1 stone sort of solution. You're welcome
  5. Thanks for the insight and well reasoned points. All in all we have much to be thankful for these days, and more so than 2/3rds of the rest of the league in a relatively short span of this regime, imho
  6. By this logic any QB in the league learning from their mistakes other than those named Allen, are blessed never to repeat said mistakes—and yet, the fact of the matter is that QB progression is a fluid thing, with even the all timers still capable of committing an error they learned from 10+ years ago...who was it that threw a pick 6 to end their game on wild card weekend? Just sayin’. Nobody’s perfect, you just need the good to keep outweighing the bad on a consistent basis—Allen made more good to great plays this year than bad—his decreased turnovers from last season (INT’s for example) are reminders of that.
  7. @Nextmanup, I know you want in on this thread! (I kid, I kid...happy Monday everyone!)
  8. Yes, you totally called this on draft night—I recall trying to cheer you up with Oliver memes about his horse and what not ; but turns out a true #1 WR sometimes isn’t a luxury after all...
  9. If you called my office with this query I’d wonder if I was getting ‘punked’ and Ashton Kutcher was laughing somewhere in a control room down the hall. That said, as others have already pointed out, if the Saints similarly couldn’t get anywhere with the PI issue, neither would we with this—however, a rules clarification/tweak for NY studio review in future might be in order here, along with a formal league office apology.
  10. One can only hope that was the way he goes out at the end...although selfishly I want him to have enough ego to come back and see the same thing happen but with us...for finality’s sake and all that
  11. ^^This. And I’m not beyond taking some Schadenfreude in his circling of the drain—ability wise. He’s been the bane of our existence long enough. Time to wrest the division away once and for all!!
  12. His ceiling? Really? After his first full season as the starter? Got it. Super bowl or bust in 2019. C’mon man, this is just shortsighted when you consider where we came from just last year at 6-10, and Allen just fyi even in this game has set franchise marks: “Josh Allen's 92 rushing yards are the most by a Bills quarterback in the postseason, pasing Jim Kelly's 37 yards vs. Miami In 1990. Josh Allen joins hall of famers Marcus Allen and Walter Payton as the only players with a 25+ yard pass, 40+ yard rush, and a 15+ yard reception in a game since 1975. Allen is the first to do it since 1983. Josh Allen is the first quarterback in NFL history with a 40-yard run and touchdown reception in any game regular season or postseason. He did it on one drive... Josh Allen is the first Bills quarterback to catch a postseason touchdown. He joins Jim Kelly (one catch) as the only Bills quarterbacks to catch a postseason pass.” https://www.buffalobills.com/news/game-recap-texans-eliminate-bills-in-wild-card-game My point is, we are going in the right direction, with Allen.
  13. LOL, just joined the boards now to pile on?
  14. You can’t impute last 20+ years onto this current front office. They’ve given us a lot more to cheer for than anybody else in that stretch, and we’ve made the playoffs 2/3 years...am I P.O.’d about this loss? You’d better believe it. It was there for the taking. But this team overall is poised for greatness, mark it down. If you can’t see that, given what you have to compare it with since the Kelly days, then I don’t know what to tell you. And yes, I understand you don’t like Allen. But he’s here to stay and for good reason.
  15. And somehow we still got to 6 wins in 2018, to match the 2019 browns, who conversely had all the talent in the world! SMH...just goes to show you how much coaching matters
  16. Sorry, that’s a bridge too far. The red helmets were a great complementary look with our primary colors and I miss them. But to each their own opinion on this Bob—I won’t hold it against you
  17. Happy New Year to all you 2BDers, so thankful to be a part of this board also. GO BILLS!!!!!!
  18. I’ll duly vote for you at the next commissioner’s election meeting. It feels appropriate to also add a, “get r done Beane” shoutout here.
  19. Given all the other variables you mentioned, I would recommend stick with it, but for sure don’t skimp out on the Mac n cheese. Just to be safe and by way of atonement, douse the mac n cheese in sweet baby Ray’s BBQ sauce first with some shredded pork or beef as a kicker? That may help...
  20. We Bills fans are a notoriously cynical bunch—for good reason. We know that we need all the help we can get this Saturday. So what will you bring to the table to help us secure our first playoff victory since...well, before the threat of Y2K made canned corn a form of legal tender? My contribution will be wearing what my wife charitably describes as my hideous Zubaz jogging pants, paired with the Allen jersey I got right after the Minnesota leap game... I will lock myself away from the rest of the family to ensure the utmost concentration, and will never sit down, ever. Basically a repeat of the Pittsburgh Sunday night victory for me. It is my hope that these small steps will help sway football history in Houston. How about you?
  21. With little kids in the house is there ever really an “off” work weekend? Just asking for a friend .
