  1. He strikes me as the type that wouldn't know what to do with himself once he turns out the office lights for the last time so will keep coming back for more--of course, I thought the same thing about my workaholic dad, and he's actually taken to retirement much easier than I ever expected.
  2. Diggs should also grade this trade as an "A" given the average January temps in Minneapolis vs. Buffalo . Minneapolis: 24F avg. high, 8F avg. low. Buffalo: 31F avg. high, 19F avg. low. https://www.usclimatedata.com/climate/minneapolis/minnesota/united-states/usmn0503 https://www.usclimatedata.com/climate/buffalo/new-york/united-states/usny0181 [From the Editor: For purposes of this post, average Jan. snowfall amounts and dome versus open stadium are being ignored. Go post your own comps if you wish. ]
  3. ^^^This. Happy as I am to see him gone, I really wanted the Bills to get to turn the tables on him
  4. Wait wait! I got this Chandler...Star Trek II, Wrath of Khan?
  5. Every day all day!! I hear he also gives it a 110% with his deceptively quick first step, which is nice! Steve Tasker would like a brief word...
  6. Spot on per usual Donuts. Also, don't discount Beane's alchemy when it comes to the draft--wouldn't shock me in the slightest if we still end up with one of those great receivers from the draft class to develop and provide a talent pool for years to come at the position and help our boy #17 surpass the franchise greatness of Kelly...dare I hope?? Someone get on the horn and retrieve the poll thread from last year asking if Beane is the greatest GM in Bills history--I bet he inches closer to the top spot every day!
  7. That’s it Tommy Boy, you knew when the getting out of dodge was good—Bills were poised to embarrass you continually for the remainder of your years...
  8. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the Bills pulling this off in view of what we clearly needed most last year to take that next step—you may quibble about price versus draft moves, but this is Whaley-level fun splash but guided by an actual progression plan that fits and instantly makes us better as a whole. Now if we can just keep the guys healthy and start our season off on time, look out AFC!!
  9. Now this is an off-season post we can all rally behind . Thanks for sharing OP.
  10. Or JaMarcus Russell...
  11. One quick question—what’s magic about the 500 people cutoff line? So if I go to an event with 498 others, nothing to worry about? Just sayin’
  12. Bit of a catch-22 though, no? On the one hand if measures like this help dramatically flatten the curve or outright cut off further spread, then the knee-jerk reaction may be, there was too much crying wolf—conversely, spread continues unabated, it will have been not enough, too late, etc. How’s the saying go? 0-0 going into the 2nd half! Nobody can take what might have been, away now
  13. Prolly post about the Bills passing on Mahomes in the draft—has that been discussed here at all yet?
  14. Well, they do lead the league in #of picks, shocker! Not sure if already pointed out elsewhere, but here ya go: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28879606/new-england-patriots-awarded-four-compensatory-draft-picks-leading-nfl
  15. We have a Disney trip planned the last week of April right around the time some of these projections have all of the available hospital beds filled up with Covid-19 patients...the bigger issue for my family is that my in-laws who aren’t in the greatest health and are 60+ are going too, and that’s what I’m most worried about at this point. I agree with your take re crowd sizes tho!
  16. Just have the Falcons admin staff pipe in the requisite pre-recorded crowd noise to the empty venue and anyone watching on TV will be none the wiser... https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/falcons/2015/03/30/rich-mckay-suspension-draft-pick-piping-crowd-noise/70667254/
  17. Given his playing days catch %, he could also coach up the TE’s, WR’s & eligibly declared O-linemen without skipping a beat
  18. Am waiting on @Ridgewaycynic2013 to update the number of compensatory draft picks the Patriots will be receiving as ‘punishment’ from the league.
  19. 1995 called, and wants its rejected expansion team logo options back—could you not picture this on a “Starter” jacket from back in the day? Would also go great with snap bracelets
  20. The “Process” with AB at the helm would’ve gone something a little like this methinks...
  21. --Playoff caliber/Championship caliber (as opposed to CFL caliber?) --Corn-fed (are there groups of people other than O-linemen who also enjoy lots of corn?) --Deceptively quick (either he's quick or he's not, how is there any deception here??) --Takes care of the football (because everyone else tries to scuff it up?) --Throwback (you know, 2yds & a cloud of dust kind of guy)
  22. Someone please just pass me the smelling salts!
  23. Clayton/Duper were outstanding in Marino’s O—and the Phins were always well coached, arguably better than what the Bills staff had—including at HC.
  24. Compared to the Dolphins/HOF Marino who never made it past Buffalo in the playoffs? HOF Elway/Broncos during that same stretch? Compared to the rest of the AFC all time which has never duplicated 4 straight AFC championships? Just asking for a friend The ‘84 Dolphins squad would like a word with you. Not saying Marino wasn’t phenomenal, because no doubt he was, but he had his chances also, before/after Kelly’s AFC dominance.
