Predict the score Week 1 Jets at Bills
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
31-14 Bills. Would be higher final score but as the Bills have iced the game midway through the 3rd up 28-0, McD pulls his starters and lets the Jets get in some garbage time scores. -
Are the Bills Offering Fans Cardboard Cutouts?
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You would think that holograms in the seats would've been feasible with today's technology? Add in the cutting edge crowd noise technology from the Falcons FO, and voila! -
Do you? Objectively speaking, how exactly have they improved their game day roster this offseason? Adding covid opt outs, how much regression could they afford after losing Brady? And before you tell me that Cam will be Brady Jr. under center there--he's first got to show that he can remain upright and out of the trainer's treatment room long enough to matter. Then there's this: "Newton had no preseason games or joint practices to test drive this offense. There are rookies at tight end, a virtual rookie at fullback (Jakob Johnson), a wide receiver group that’s little-improved from the 2019 crew which Pro Football Focus said “collectively had the worst season of any receivers in the 14 years PFF has been grading every snap of NFL games.” To think Newton’s going to come out Sunday against Miami, complete more than 60 percent of his passes, help the offense convert more than 40 percent of its third downs and have things moving like clockwork is to be detached from reality. Could it happen? Yes. But I’d be gobsmacked if it did." https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/what-would-successful-2020-season-be-cam-newton-patriots

So uncle Rico is what we’re aiming for in all departments, yes?

Predict the Division Winner: AFC North
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ben’s swan song of sneaky good old man game will carry the division but falter/peter out in the playoffs, probably by the divisional round—just too good during the reg season imho for them not to be on top of the division. -
Tre White press conference
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Congrats Tre, and happy he’s a Bill for years to come. Remember when we used to approach the season expecting to go to the SB and roll the AFC along the way? For the younger generation, you’re in for a treat when that becomes your reality—we’re right there! -
In other words, the McDermott path—Sean won 6 games in 2018 with a roster arguably one of the least talented in Bills history—and also showed that with more talent he was able to correspondingly add to the wins—can Flores really do that this year without a franchise guy at the helm to start? But PK, who I actually really like reading for overall NFL, doesn’t go deep enough as has already been pointed out upthread, and therefore doesn’t give the Bills their due in the division yet. But we will make it easy for him in the years to come!

If You Could Take One Bill to Lunch...

Agreed—and the heart/soul of our D in those days, I would say even more so than Bruce although Bruce was the most talented bar none. -

^^^^^Solid. Seems like a straight up dude who's gone all in for this team and us fans--how can you be mad at that?? Glad he reached out when it sounds like at that time you could really use that. He texted me back too and was very gracious. -

If You Could Take One Bill to Lunch...
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't pretend to know all of the ins and out of his failed restaurant/club back in the day--or how it all turned out in the end, but I do know that he's given back to the area through his various philanthropies and charitable medical research funding in significant amounts over the years. How you choose to weigh that is up to you, I don't begrudge you your opinion. -

For the safety of our community at large, and Jordan Poyer's family in particular, I am forced to deny your avatar's request. -
Fitzty's current position on his closed circle spin cycle does not permit any aberration from his norm--and we are in dangerous territory when he's an established starter not lying in wait behind a different #1... But in all seriousness, love me some Fitzy and I really really hope you are spot on OP!

But what if he decides halfway to the restaurant that he doesn't want to break bread with you anymore? Yep--that's right up there for sure--would really like a behind the scenes insight into how he does the alchemy that he does with this roster. -
If you had your choice of one Bill (coaches also), past or present (inc. deceased for this hypothetical), to have lunch with and maybe a frosty beverage, who would it be, why, and what would be the first question you’d ask them? Kelly for me of course. He’s the reason I became a Bills fan to begin with way back when, and the first question I’d ask him would be if he could do it all again, would he this time not bolt for the USFL first? Have often wondered if the Bills would’ve become a powerhouse even sooner in the mid-80’s had Kelly started here from day 1 in 83. Followup would be if he’d mind throwing me a 10 yard in, out in the parking lot later on. Extra-credit: Rex Ryan. I’d ask him to explain his defense in 10 minutes or less. My hunch is he’d have to phone a friend lifeline that one.

This site is the best thing since Amish butter was invented, esp. for those of us like me not fortunate enough to live in native Bills country—where else can I commiserate in the lows and communally celebrate the highs of following this vexing but favorite franchise of ours?? Plus the constantly collated information of all the Bills news that’s fit to print by @YoloinOhio? Why, I almost feel like I have some real friends thanks to my TBD internet friends with the fake names!

Bills Super Bowl Victory 20-21 Season
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every other team will be playing the year with the exact same *. Same rules, same challenges, same lack of true home field advantages. From this background rubble of heretofore unimagined obstacles a champion will emerge, and that team will have overcome a wider array of challenges on their march to a championship, than any other previous winner—wouldn’t a SB be worth more this year?- 28 replies
