  1. Mine was the Minnie win; don’t forget the Bills charter was flying the wrong way IIRC, which was endlessly mocked at the time, and the Bills were something crazy underdogs going in, no one gave them a prayer of winning JA’s 1st road start including many here—wasn’t this the infamous “I bet 5K against the Bills without my wife knowing and lost” game??
  2. It’s so nice to see Allen take up Kelly’s mantle of owning Rich Stadium South again! Dolphins fans are in for a decade plus of misery against the Bills, at least! Sorry Tua, no playoff road through Buffalo ever for you
  3. Very cool to see these guys at the end have such an obvious camaraderie—this team is learning how to consistently win while having a great time doing so!
  4. @Jimmy Spagnolawould like a word...
  5. If it all has to be shut off when the play clock hits :20, then Brady’s...whoops, I meant Cam’s helmet mic is still good to go!
  6. Nerd alert 🚨. An accurate recreation of the Jets’ hyperdrive can be found at the 4:50 mark:
  7. Present company excepted of course, but pretty soon the number of folks who say they’ve been on team JA from day 1 will be exceeded only by the number of folks who attended the Comeback game in person at Rich Stadium! OP, thanks for the thread as well as the mostly respectful dialogue along the way since you’ve been posting here—I know a certain Jets fan who could take some pointers from you! We look forward to many years of a great Mahomes/Allen AFC rivalry. I was over the moon when the Bills selected Allen for a number of reasons, including that he just seemed to exude that “it” factor for a Buffalo QB in the mold of Kelly, driven by off the charts natural abilities and a welcoming of the unique temperament it takes to command the huddle in our favorite town—and this became more than obvious during his first official road start in Minnesota exactly 2 years ago (serendipitously for me, the same day my youngest was born). From the leap on, you knew this kid had the heart of Rudy but with the ability to back it up with something really special.
  8. Maybe this is why he’s still shying away from spending any print time on the Bills so far 🧐
  9. Nope, consider the bleeding on your wounded avatar pic--that poor buffalo has been bleeding out for a minute and just got some Allen/Diggs stitches put in yesterday! He should pull through now.
  10. I get it, we all have more important things at the end of the day to worry about. There's no question that the national types routinely gloss over good things happening in Buffalo and I do find that irritating if nothing else, as a fan of this team and witness to its growing pains/successes.
  11. Ummm...no. The extent of the love thrown Allen's way from King, who I actually normally enjoy reading, was buried within this snippet from the column this morning. Be forewarned--blink and you will miss it: "Fantastic day of football. Weekend, really. Start on Thursday. Coming-out party for Joe Burrow, 23 years old, putting up 30 points for a Cincinnati team with a lot of holes, losing to 25-year-old Baker Mayfield. On Sunday, Jared Goff (25), Kyler Murray (23) and Lamar Jackson (23) were in total control in dominant wins. Patrick Mahomes (25) needed to do some Patrick Mahomes things in overtime, Josh Allen (24) launched gorgeous and effortless deep balls for Buffalo, Dak Prescott (27) threw for 450 yards to win the craziest game of his life, and Wilson (the old man at 31) capped everything with the second five-TD-pass game of his career Sunday night. That game—Seattle 35, New England 30—definitely should not have been on TVs in any cardiac units around the United States." https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/09/21/russell-wilson-seahawks-nfl-week-2-fmia-peter-king-let-russ-cook/ And yes, Wilson sucks up a lot of oxygen with a best-ever type of quality performance in the evening set, but still, part of one sentence??
  12. Scientists now know what happens when a charging Buffalo meets a swimming Dolphin!! 🤔
  13. The enthusiasm, the love of the game, it’s all so clearly worn on their sleeves, raw emotion, love it!!
  14. Am looking forward to some long overdue love from Peter King’s FMIA column tomorrow mayhaps? 🧐🤓 what’s this you say? We could’ve had Mahomes?? How was this never discussed here?
  15. A lethal weapon. Country strong 💪!
  16. It was crystal clear that we missed Milano and Edmunds—that combined with a brutal 3rd quarter reminiscent of SB XXV, where the Bills only ran something like 8 plays on offense, gassing us in the Miami heat/humidity, and there’s your defensive stumble right there. Let’s pump the brakes and see how we look next week on D against one of the NFL offensive gurus, but on our turf.
  17. Don’t wish that on anyone. I hope his family finds peace in the midst of unimaginable grief.
  18. you dodged a bullet there, clearly
  19. Also need to double check if the rating system/points is the same for back then vs now? I know ESPN changed it up a few years back? Mind you I love having this discussion over best Bills QB performances of all time!!!
  20. My personal favorite, having grown up in Western PA Steeler country... https://www.wivb.com/sports/tbt-jim-kelly-throws-6-tds-vs-steelers-in-week-2-of-1991-season/; also, this write up for the no punt game: https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2020/07/28/first-no-punt-game-nfl-buffalo-bills-vs-san-francisco-49-ers/5524920002/
  21. Except for 1 goal line stand
  22. Too late, champy’s been pored in Billslandia! Another feast day has been declared, this time with a main dish of lasagne!
